☯ If you've never slept in the round before, you owe yourself! We all want to think outside the box, but how about sleeping outside the box — well, inside, but not in a box! Windows above & all around, 59,206 pennies beneath. ★ ☸ ★ Magic!

We love to design spaces that are not in a box. We want to give our guests an experience that is meaningful and memorable.

*****************
Enchanting, magical, uplifting -- those are words used recently by our guests, describing this wonderful space. Twelve sides, windows all around, surrounded by nature, yet close to town.
*****************

Picture a cabin made of cedar and glass. It has wi-fi, electric heat, a comfortable queen-sized bed, a chair for reading, a fold-out desk, and a table with a coffee pot. All the bare essentials, in one place.

It's situated to be rustic and inspirational, nestled into the back corner of a deep lot. There are fruit trees all around and a seasonal pond that attracts ducks in the spring and early summer. Depending on the season, you can listen to birds and frogs from inside the roundhouse, or cross the footbridge to the south-facing deck behind the workshop -- another private space for your get away from the bustle contemplations. Or enjoy the firepit.

Follow the wending path to the front fence and everything is nearby.

The bathroom is at the rear of the main house, right near the back door (about 30 yards from the roundhouse). It's private and only barely shared. (We have another bath-and-a-half elsewhere in the house.) We have a clever curtaining system that can give you extra privacy if you want it. You'll be left as alone as you choose to be during your visit.

With a little bit of planning, we're happy to share our full kitchen with you during daylight hours. Same with the laundry room.

We're sharing our home with you, so we ask you to be respectful of that. We love to brag about Eugene and Oregon, and we're happy to share what we have and what we know.

=====
P.S. For those using this service to find long-term rental options, we're not the least expensive alternative, but we've had several visitors stay for several weeks or a few months. Our rates already reflect long-term discounts of 25% or more, as calculated by the site.

Very unique. Loved the ambience indoor and out. Woke up to a deer looking in the window. Can’t wait to come back.

Sweet little cottage in a backyard forest. Quiet, comfortable and private.

This was a nightmare. The owner met me and asked what I was doing there as he didn't have a reservation for me. When I showed him the email from him he was embarrassed. The entire back yard is dead - dead grass, dead plants, just a few living trees - NOTHING like the picture. The pond has no water in it. The kitchen is an outdoor dusty shelf with a hotplate and microwave. The refrigerator is shared with the host (also outside) and didn't have room in the freezer. But the worst was the bathroom - apparently shared with the owner who left the toilet seat up and hasn't cleaned anything in a while (toothpaste globs in the sink). The shower had hanging half-dead plants in it with leaves on the shower floor. I started coughing the minute I walked in there - mold maybe? It was all too much. I packed my stuff and left. So disgusting. My guess is perhaps the owner is not doing well health-wise, but this property should NOT be available to rent.

Would absolutely NOT recommend. As a female traveling with young teens, we did not feel safe. There was no way I was going to send my teens into an unknown, OCCUPIED house to use the toilet or shower. The fact that bathroom is 30 yards away and shared should be the FIRST thing mentioned in the description but instead is buried in a word salad. The entire vibe of this place is extremely awkward bordering on creepy. We were on the property no longer than 10 minutes before we walked away as I felt our safety and peace of mind was more important than losing our payment. Don, the host altered our four night reservation down to one night while still charing the full amount. I can only assume that was so he could open up reservations for other soon to be duped guests. READ THE DESCRIPTION THROUGHLY AND ALL THE REVIEWS.**Vrbo does NOT care if guests feel unsafe or deceived.**

Just needed a place to sleep to drive my son home from school. Given the hotels were 3x more expensive this worked out well and I was willing to “adapt in” to the bathroom being in the main house.

Such a cute, quirky, creative, beautiful place. We were lucky to hear the frog symphonies in the evening. So much fun! Don the host is the best. Truly everything you need and nothing you don’t.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights with my dog, and loved it. Not only is the location beautiful and the roundhouse really cool, but Don also really made the experience special. From a welcome message on a chalkboard when we arrived to customize postcards with the image of the roundhouse you can mail to family and friends, there were so many cute details that you just don’t get at a lot of other reaction rentals. Definitely recommend!

The website did not indicate that there was no bathroom in the room. I am on dialysis and require a private bathroom near the bedroom. Once I was given the check in information, it noted the bathroom was in a separate house and was shared. I attempted to get a refund but could not. Very dissatisfied and will not recommend vrbo to anyone or use it again.

We loved the dome above the bed, looking out at the stars. It was very comfortable and VERY quiet. Bring a flashlight (or a phone) to light your way to the bathroom; it wasn't a problem for us. And there is outdoor lighting too; but we are older folks... 70ish. I'd stay there again.

Great experience staying here. It was small but comfortable, and I loved staying here. Bathroom is in a separate building, so I'm glad it didn't rain. A resident deer would greet me in the mornings and evenings almost every day.

After dragging my bag over Rocky bumpy weedy trail way to the back of this place. I entered the round house, but I discovered there was no bathroom, no water, no closet no drawers just a bed with windows all the way around it in order to use the bathroom had to, wade your way over to his house by a few other things no thank you I just walked away and got stiffed for my rent for the week

If you like unusual properties, this is the place for you. Kind of like “glamping”, the host anticipates your every need and provides all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting, indoors and out. The bedroom is a beautiful yurt with all kinds of hidden perks. The bathroom is in the main building that is accessed across a lush garden, complete with a quiet stream and a fragrant rose bush. It is an authentic Eugene experience.
