Feel like you are in the middle of the Adirondacks yet shopping and attractions are only minutes away. This historic stone cabin is located along a dead end road. Surrounded by mountains and water it is very private. The cabin offers wonderful lake views. There is a screened in porch overlooking the lake, a wonderful place to start your day. Then go down the stairs to your private lake front and take a swim. The lake is great for swimming, fishing and boating. While the water off the dock is shallow with a sandy bottom it gets deeper so you can jump in off the end of the long dock. After a lovely day at the lake, have diner on the outdoor patio and relax in front of the campfire. What a perfect day in the Adirondacks! Want to do something else tomorrow Just check out the local chamber of commerce web site. There are amusement parks, outlet shopping, museums, malls, restaurants, hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, etc. We are sure you will have a great time.

Glen Lake: Glen Lake is approximately 3 miles long. The cabin is located in the deeper wider sections of the lake. There are two islands, the larger one has a lighthouse and cabin. There is a restaurant on the opposite side of the lake 'The Docksider'. The fishing is wonderful. There is a wetland, swamp area at the inflow of the lake which is full of wildlife and birds. The view from the cabin is of Prospect Mountain, French Mountain and the other mountains separating Glen Lake from Lake George. The water is comfortable and great for swimming and activities. Most of the homes along the lake are year round and it tends to be very quite during the week, especially during the day. It is truly a beautiful place to be.

The cabin: The cabin was built during the 1930's. It is very lovely and surrounded by woods tucked into the side of the hill. The cabin is located on the same property as the owners home. The driveway is shared but the landscaping very nicely separates the two. You have your own private swimming area. It is wooded on either side of the swim area (no one has a beach or swim area right next to you). The view from the screened in porch is breath taking. You can see up the lake, the islands and the sunsets.

Guest comments: We have been renting the cabin for 5 years. Everyone who has stayed with us has really enjoyed the place.
'It is so relaxing' 'Beautiful location' 'Great fishing' 'Plenty of activities for everyone' 'One week is not enough' 'Nicer than we thought'

This is our second visit to Clair’s home! We love the location and the lake is stunning. Very quiet and private. We canoe and fish on the lake as well. Weather could not have been better. We will return again Thank you Clair for a great stay

The cottage was cozy, clean and very well equipped. Comfy beds and the softest sheets! Gorgeous views of the lake from the lovely screened porch, perfect for relaxing with coffee or a cocktail. Private dock for sun and swimming. Location was very secluded and peaceful. The stone patio with grill and fire pit also had a lovely lake view. This is a truly charming, artsy and restful retreat, and the hosts anticipated our every need. Pet friendly too! We will certainly visit again.

Lovely lake house. Incredible view, plentiful fishing. The house was clean, but had a mustiness to it which is to be expected on a lake house of that age, but it did flare up my allergies. The host was kind & helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was wonderful even tho the weather was rainy; we didn’t get to enjoy the lake but the cabin was amazingly cozy and significantly better than the pics, which was an awesome bonus. The cabin is right on the lake, couldn’t be closer, and we plan to return so we can enjoy the water. Clar was a wonderful host and very attentive; the cabin had all of the thoughtful little things that was the perfect cherry on top!

The architecturally stunning stone camp was a wonderful ADK escape from the CT shoreline. The cabin was easy to settle into with our 2 young daughters, and spacious enough that we all felt very comfortable. The screened in porch was a dream, with panoramic views of the lake. Glen Lake itself is a wonderful town, close to Great Escape (5 mins) and Lake George (10 mins)/Bolton Landing (20 mins). The cabin was fully loaded with everything you need to cook, refresh and rest. There were some cobwebs/dead bugs in the cabin, but we understand thats comes with the privilege of being lakefront and wasn’t a huge issue. The dock was fantastic for fishing and lounging, and we all enjoyed going out on the kayaks/paddleboat. The only thing that deeply bothered our family, unfortunately, was the display of two TRUMP 2024 flags (flagpole and pontoon boat) on the owners property immediately next door, both visible from the rental cabin and dock. Regardless of our political views, they were a distraction from the main purpose of our stay - to escape from it all for a few days. Overall, Clair (the host) was very responsive and was not intrusive whatsoever. The chickens on the main property quickly became our daughters’ favorite temporary neighbors :) Within hours of our departure, I received a note from Clair letting me know she found our youngest daughters stuffie under one of the guest beds and graciously offered to send it home for her.

Four of us over 70, friends from elementary school, got together for a 3 day stay. We absolutely loved the screened in porch overlooking the lake and had a beautiful sunset the first night. Loved the cabin.

My friend and I stayed at Stonehaven on Glen Lake for 5 nights and we couldn't have been happier. The historic cabin is nestled among the trees right on Glen Lake. Host has everything you need for whatever kind of trip you're looking for. If you want to relax and do nothing, then you can sit out on the enclosed porch and take in the views of the lake and the hills beyond. If you want to grill, you've got it. If you want to build a fire, you've got it. If you want to take a kayak or pedal boat on the lake, you've got it. I particularly enjoyed the mountain bike trails that are only 4 miles away. Communication with host was fantastic. My friend and I will definitely return if the opportunity arises. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The stone cabin (Stonehedge Cabin) was comfortable and very well equipped. Our host Claire was great! She answered all of our questions and just a very nice lady. The lake (Glen Lake) was very quiet and enjoyed kayaking, fishing and just taken in the scenery. Also enjoyed the outdoor fire. We look forward to booking a future stay!

Just a perfect place with gorgeous views in this marvelous cabin built in the 30s right on the lake. The don’t make them like this anymore. It has everything you need. Beyond that was both a lovely sitting dock and a launch dock. The screen porch was just beyond any I have been on. Hosts were kind, accessible, and caring. Will be coming back for sure.
