Private fishing pond with cabin and hot tub!! Perfect vacation spot.

We have stayed here three times now and will definitely be returning. The property is gorgeous and peaceful, but still only a few minutes from shops, restaurants and local attractions. The cabin is always clean, comfortable and well supplied. You can fish, take a walk in the woods, enjoy the wildlife and the owners animals, plenty of room for outdoor games, and just sitting back enjoying the view. The best part is the owners though, the Lyons always make sure you feel welcome and enjoy yourself. You will not regret staying here.

Great host. Cabin was clean and amenities were as described in the listing. Kids enjoyed fishing and the paddle boat. We had a lot of fun watching the deer and turkeys while drinking coffee on the porch.

5 stars isn’t enough! Everything was so perfect at the cabin: quiet, peaceful, super clean and better than we had hoped for. We had plans to visit Chattanooga but we ended up spending the majority of our time just relaxing at the cabin. Chris was quick to respond to questions. Zero complaints!On our list of DEFINITELY will return!

Nature at it’s finest. Able to watch the Super Bowl from the hot tub. Perfect hot tub weather too!! The wood work on doors is beautiful!! We had get relaxing weekend !! The owners super accommodating. Would I rent this place again?? You bet I would! Thank you!!

This is PERFECT getaway. It's actually secluded. The cabin is gorgeous, the beds are comfy, and the host was friendly and responsive. The recliners in the living room are top tier cozy. Will definitely be staying again.

Amazing long weekend family getaway! We drove up from Louisiana during our kids' fall break and had a great time. We spent a full day just enjoying everything the cabin had to offer - ponds, fishing, trails, livestock next door, hot tub, etc... Truly was a great trip. Fort Payne is a great little town too. We enjoyed a quick visit to Little River Canyon as well as a short drive to Tigers for Tomorrow. We hope to stay here again in the future! Only issue was no Wi-Fi, so make sure you're not trying to work while on vacation! Recommend Rim of the Canyon Cafe for breakfast, and Little River Burgers and Brew for dinner

Check in was super easy. The owner reached out to inquire about our stay and to offer additional fishing opportunities. Property was clean and had most everything we needed. Really enjoyed petting the miniature pony and donkey at the attached pasture.

Surpassed our expectations in every way.Although we traveled for an event, this is the kind of place you can check in and stay in!Relaxing, QUIET, clean and homey. Great cabin. Very private. Grand kids enjoyed fishing but it was too hot to catch fish (they did catch 3 small ones the last evening). Highly recommend!.

My mother and I came down for a long weekend for The Alabama Band Songwriters Showcase. Location of the house is perfect compared to the town. The entire property was serene. The Owners are wonderful. We will be planning another trip as soon as we can. Loved seeing the wildlife: turkey, colorful birds, skunk family(from a far), little frogs and fish. I highly recommend this property!

The cabin was clean and so secluded! We enjoyed the beautiful pond and relaxing in the hot tub. The host was very nice. This cabin had everything we wanted and more!

We loved every minute at the cabin! Everything we needed was provided and it was all clean and comfortable. Chris was always quick to respond if we had questions and wanted to make sure we were happy with our stay. It is so quiet and peaceful. We made friends with the donkey and miniature horse in the pasture next to us. We walked the small trail behind the house. There was also firewood ready for the fire pit outside. And then, us girls had the hot tub to relax in nightly. The area itself is friendly too! There is a large grocery store with a starbucks inside close by and some fun shops downtown. Theres also plenty of retail chains close by if you want to shop or forget some essentials.

Great cabin with all amenities

The rustic, mountain theme of the decor was absolutely beautiful. After a day of hiking in the mountains we came back to a peaceful country environment of this cabin nestled in the middle of a cow pasture overlooking a quaint little pond. We enjoyed the grill, hot tub and making friends with the donkey and pony in the fields. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Fort Payne. The location was great. It was a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go with little to no traffic.

It's amazing just how a day and a half can revitalize you in ways you least expect. Sometimes, vacations are going to one location and visiting all the things that place has to offer. Sometimes, it's about staying put and what's there. And we did just that. Even if we caught nothing, the quiet of casting the rod in the water on the dock was worth it. The hot tub, fireplace, the sunset and sunrise through the windows, the animals in the field. The simplicity of where we were gave us the relaxation we needed and I am so thankful for a breath of fresh air. Lyon's Den will definitely be a place we go back to. Everything was as described and Mr. and Mrs. Lyon's were so communicative -- even to the point of following up with a friendly phone call to see how our stay was. My kids wrote thank you letters to them because they enjoyed themselves so much! I'm excited to return soak up more of that cabin.

The owners are fantastic and very prompt communication. Couldn’t have asked for a cleaner home. It was beautifully decorated and made us feel like we were in a Gatlinburg Chalet. Total seclusion and quiet. Felt like we were all by ourself. Beds are Very comfortable and clean. Hot tub was a great relaxing time after walks around Mentone and Desota Falls. Definitely will be coming back.

Place was spotless. A very comfortable setup with everything we needed. Hot tub was great; too bad the pond was low. Don't trust your GPS.

We loved it so much, we came back for a second visit! This is the perfect little getaway spot. While there is plenty to do in the area, we only left the property to run to Wal-Mart and out to eat one night. Plenty of fishing, grilling and relaxing. Wonderful owners as well, great communications and they make sure you have everything you need!
