Private Cabin in the woods,/ Near Summersville lake and Gauley river

The cabin was clean and privacy was good.

We had a such a wonderful stay at this secluded, quiet cabin. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you would need as well as plenty of bedding and tons of towels. The washer/dryer was an added bonus. These are the kind of people you want to rent off of. I've never had hosts as kind and accommodating as the Leggs were. We will definitely be back.

I can’t say enough positive things about our stay, there was absolutely nothing negative about our experience and as far as I’m concerned I have found my home away from home in West Virginia!!! Cabin the in the woods was an amazing stay! We had the best time and the hosts completely took care of us. The fire pit and hot tub were a plus for us! We were able to purchase a huge stack of wood from Barbara for 25$ which was more than enough. The cabin was well equipped with anything we needed. Barbara made sure we had her contact information in case we needed anything during the night and throughout our stay. We were about 20-30 from most things including Summersville Lake/Dam, New River Gorge and Fayetteville. The 2 miles leading up to the cabin is gravel and the driveway is a bit steep- just in case anyone has a low vehicle. There is no wifi and we had spotty internet- but that was perfect for us. We can't wait to come back!

We loved the location and exploring around the property. The mountain road led to beautiful waterfalls, historic old homes and churches, and a cemetery. Barbara was great and she even made sure we were updated on the weather because it snowed the night before we left. We cooked at the cabin every night of our stay and had no problems using the appliances, dishes or cooking utensils. The grill, fire pit and hot tub were great. We would definitely recommend this place and we would stay there again ourselves. Thanks for a great vacation!

This is a beautiful gem in the mountains. Very secluded and peaceful. Hot Tub, Fire Pit, beautiful front porch. Kitchen is very nice with everything you could need, including a Kerurig, coffee maker, slow cooker, All you need to do is take your clothes. Pets are very welcome. The owner is so nice. We are going back in October and can’t wait. I just can’t say enough good things about this cabin.

Overall it was very clean nice little cabin close enough to basic needs like Gas station Dollar General. Easy to get to major roads to sight see in this beautiful area. .

Very peaceful, lovely, secluded cabin. Saw several deer during our stay. Cabin was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful family holiday. Relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. Barb went out of her way to try to fix an unexpected issue that was totally out of her control, and told us not to hesitate to contact her if we needed anything.

We Stayed a Full Week, Within 30mins Of all the Places we wanted to See, I Enjoyed the Hot Tub! & the Bath tub, Cabin was as seen On Pictures. Dog Friendly My Girls was Very Happy with Yard and Free Roaming. I Hope to Return Again In the future, Such a Beautiful Area. Loved having a Washer & Dryer. It Had Everything we Needed & More. And Our Host Gave Us the Privacy we Hoped For & Responded within Minutes of Any Messages! We'll be back ;) The Bathroom was On Top Floor, but We Used Upstairs Bedroom So work Out Great. Only thing I Would Advise is Not having a Vehicle to Low to Ground. You are In the Mountains on Back Roads. But We Loved it...

From start to finish we enjoyed everything about our vacation. Steve and Barbara are absolutely the most wonderful hosts we have ever encountered. Barbara saw we were having some issues with our truck upon arrival and showed up quickly to offer a helping hand. Unfortunately we found out the hard way we have a vacuum issue with our 4 wheel drive that made it impossible to make the last 50 yards of the hill to the property but Steve showed up with his tractor to pull us to the top! Again...amazing over and above hosts. The hottub was perfect and hot! Much needed to soothe aching muscles after rafting the Upper n Lower G plus the ATV trails going straight to the river are amazing. Plenty of supplies available in home and the peace and tranquility and seclusion are exactly what we wanted. Advise to 1st timers...make sure to test tour 4 wheel drive before attempting that hill...front wheel drive vehicles probably have the advantage. We will 100% be back for our WV visits! See ya soon

Everything about this place is great. Very private. Very clean. Lots of room.

The place was clean. The hot tub was clean and ready to use, coming in handy. Thank you for that. We stayed just one night, but we used the fire pit for a bonfire and grilling dinner fare, which provided an authentic camping experience.The last 100 feet of the gravel driveway are quite steep; one of the vehicles with front-wheel drive couldn't make it to the parking area, but the 4-wheel drive SUV managed without a problem.All in all, I would recommend this stay.

The cabin is very well maintained and we were all comfortable during our stay. One issue we had is with the driveway. The gravel on the hill near the cabin is very thick and our van had a hard time getting up the hill. I had to give it three attempts on the first time driving in. We eventually had to unload a few things from the vehicle to get up to the parking area. I think it warrants some improvement, perhaps even just thinning the gravel? Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

Very private location. Older cabin but i prefer that over the new age stuff feels more like home to me. Plenty of stuff to do around within 30 mins. Simple info for check-in and owners were very respectful of privacy. Hot tub was a plus but i stayed out front burning wood which you can buy from em and not have to deal with it. Definitely planning on going back

The cabin and property were wonderful, very secluded and private and very relaxing! The hosts were very helpful and responsive and very accommodating. It was a little to hot outside to fully enjoy the hot tub but it was a nice option to have a long with the fire pit!

Cozy, remote cabin in the woods with hot tub! About 2 miles from Gauley river access, 15 minutes to Summersville Lake, and 30 minutes to Fayetteville.

We booked a 3 night stay. The host was wonderful and began communicating with us before our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and even checked on us after check in. If you are looking for a cozy cabin that is off the beaten path with a 20-30 minute commute to Summersville Lake this place is for you. It reminds me of Grandmas house growing up with its rustic mountain charm.

Had a great time at the cabin. It had everything we needed for our stay. The cabin was very quiet and comfortable. We hiked all day in the beautiful New River Gorge, Hawksnest State Park, and Babcock State Park. Saw hundreds of waterfalls after all the rain. The hot tub was just what we needed after long days on the trails. The only thing I would suggest is a hot tub cover lift as the cover was heavy and difficult to get back on. Other than that everything was great. We would definitely return if we come back to the area. eeded

No extra things such has hands soap and such on premises. In prepared ahead of time to being that along. Gravel around hot tub. Worn out furniture. Cabin seemed unfinished for money paid

It was a very clean quiet stay. A few stink bugs, but nothing to worry about. The hot tub was great. The owners were amazing help and always were in communication. Highly recommended.

Cabin was quaint and comfortable. Property was secluded, quiet and beautiful! My only advice is to try to arrive before dark. We got in late and it was kind of an intimidating road getting to the cabin, but paved or gravel all the way. However, my husband, has driven on winding, narrow, hilly roads before and therefore we had no issues once we found our way. When we went back out the next day in the daylight the road did not seem so intimidating. The cabin was most definitely worth the drive! We timed our weekend well as the leaves were changing into vibrant colors! Our dogs loved the property as they could run about freely without disturbing any neighbors. Woods all around made a peaceful relaxing space! Hot tub was hot and jets were powerful! Most enjoyable after a day of exploring the area. Would definitely come back!
