Private and Serene Snowshoe Family Chalet!

Such a great, spacious, beautiful home for 9 of us, including 3 generations. Everyone had their own space and many bathrooms helped accommodate us all. We loved the spacious deck for morning coffee and thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit for s’mores every night and being enchanted by the nightly fireflies. Being from the west coast, we all loved the fireflies and peace and quiet. Our host was fantastic and replied to every question in a very timely manner. We will definitely return to this spectacular mountain hideaway.

Very nice. Isolated and private which was good for us. Just two couples of us so we didn’t use the lower level which smelled a little musty. Messaged the host re a minor question but didn’t receive an answer. Great value compared to properties in Snowshoe.

Overall great place to stay. It was very clean and accommodating. The game room was great for groups.

Had a great fishing trip with family. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids. Some birders in the family were really excited about the wide variety of migrating spring warblers. Incredibly peaceful and quiet setting. Star gazing was also amazing. Much better than on Snowshoe mountain because of light pollution from the resort. Only downsides were a couple of the showers weren’t functioning well but likely can be fixed easily. Also had evidence of mice which isn’t too surprising given the wooded setting.

It could use a little more cookware, a cabin that siize needs a few more pot & pans maybe a griddle

This place worked perfectly for 3 small families! Place was cozy and clean. Host was very helpful! We were provided very specific instructions on how to find the house since navigation/GPS can be off sometimes. Host checked in often to ensure we were happy with our stay and didn’t need anything else. Would recommend!

The place was perfect for our family of 9 adults, 1 child, and 1 infant. We had plenty of space to gather, eat, play games etc. The separate apartment was perfect for my daughter and her family with small children. Would definitely recommend!

We filled the place with family and had a wonderful stay. It was really special to have all the kids and grandkids together under one cozy but spacious roof. Brian is a great host.

It was a terrific stay at the Chalet.

It was fairly nice, but the basement smelled like mildew really bad. No one wanted to go down there because of the smell. Therefore, we never got to play games. The place was very hot when we arrived, but after opening the windows which weren't locked and turning fans on it cooled down. The dishwasher wasn't unloaded. TV's were really nice.

We vacationed with our children and their families. The house was very clean and met all of our needs. You need to bring most of your food, as the only grocery is a small IGA market and a Dollar General. The local gift shop was awesome offering a coffee bar and baked goods along with souvenirs. The area is pretty secluded but very close to Snowshoe Mountain resort where we got day passes for swimming. Also, the historical town of Cass featured train rides and little shops. We took long hikes up the mountain road close to the house and saw lots of deer, rabbits, and heard birds chirping. We set up a baby pool and water bounce house in the back yard for the little ones and it was a perfect spot. We were hesitant of using the charcoal grill, but it proved to be more than adequate for steaks, burgers, and brats. We loved the decks and the fire pit for cooking s'mores. If you love nature and getting away from the business of life, this is the place for you. Brian was a great host.

It was a very relaxing stay. If staying in summer time there is no AC it’s very warm at night. There is not TVs is all bedrooms and the private suite bedroom did not have a remote. The bathrooms do not have blinds in windows. Outside the house could be cleaned up with some weed whacking. Overall had a great time!!

We rented this for the weekend; it was absolutely perfect, the owner was courteous and was able to accommodate our stay-which we are very thankful!! The house was super clean with everything you needed! Would definitely stay here again!!! Highly recommend! Thanks again!!

This home was the perfect size for our group - 7 adults and 3 kids. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking necessities, even things like flour and sugar. And the game room was great for the kids! The host quickly responded to any questions or concerns. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay! The house had everything we needed and plenty of room. Located just a few minutes from the ski resort.

We just got home from a week vacation in this rental. Perfect for our family Thanksgiving and having some quiet time away in the mountains. Pictures were accurate, everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival and host communication was fabulous. Beds were super comfortable and large tub in master was a nice way to unwind. Hope to be back next year for round two. Highly recommend.
