Fletcher, North Carolina
Summary:
Ready to bring the family together for a relaxing Spa-Like vacation with breathtaking mountain views of the Blue Ridge Mountains
The Spa Lodge is a cedar siding cabin that will give you the peace & quiet of the country while still being only 25 minutes to The Biltmore House & 30 minutes to all that the downtown Asheville area has to offer.
The two words that describe The Spa Lodge design are RELAXATION & FUN, for the entire family.
The Space:
The Spa Lodge was designed to bring families together for quality fun time with large indoor & outdoor dining areas, an outdoor fire pit, Ping Pong, Corn Hole, Horseshoes and board games.
Also slip into deep relaxation and restore your energy, in the barrel sauna & hot tub. Enhance your spa time with built-in bluetooth speakers and colorful lights.
The first thing you’ll notice, when you pull in the driveway, is the quintessential front deck, overlooking the sunset mountain views. In the winter months, you can actually see Mount Pisgah, off in the distance, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Walking through the front door you will be greeted with an open floor plan, allowing you to enjoy a view from the front dining room through to the back deck and yard.
The first room you walk into is the dining room. The beautiful, large, farm-style dining room table, made from reclaimed wood, comfortably seats 10.. Perfect for spending family dinners & breakfasts together telling stories.
As you pass through the dining area, you enter the cozy living room with an electric fireplace, couches & TV. You will instantly feel relaxed looking out the large windows that let in tons of natural light on all sides of the home. In the downstairs living room there is a 42in smart TV, our guestbooks filled with recommendations on activities, things to do at the Spa Lodge and great food recommendations.
Turning to your right you will enter the open-layout kitchen with a grand window overlooking the backyard & Spa area. The kitchen is fully equipped with:
- Gas oven
- Microwave
- Toaster
- Dishwasher
- Silverware for 12 people
- Plates for 12 people
- Cups for 12 people
- Keurig cup coffee maker
- Large refrigerator w/ Water & Ice Maker
Also on the first floor, is the master bedroom, furnished with a King Bed, walk-in closet & a luxurious ensuite bathroom, featuring a large glass shower with great water pressure & a double vanity.
Finally there is a half-bath & laundry room with a stackable washer & dryer on the first floor!
As you move upstairs, walk into the Game Room with a full size Ping Pong table, a 60in smart TV with Netflix, a large cozy L-shaped couch and plenty of games including a deck of cards, board games & chess board. One of your favorite things about the game room will be watching the sunset, out of the giant window, overlooking the long range mountain views.
On opposite sides of the game room are two bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with a king bed and closet on the right and a cozy small bedroom with a single bed and a trundle, for additional sleeping space.
Finally upstairs you'll find another fully renovated bathroom with beautiful, black tile and a bathtub shower combo.
For extra sleeping, the L-shaped couch, in the game room, pulls out into a very comfortable queen bed AND downstairs the sofa-chair pulls out into a comfy single bed.
Walk outside to the huge back deck to find our lounging couch and table for enjoying coffee or wine, an outdoor dining area that can seat 10 people and a propane grill. You'll see, in the backyard, a fire pit with 6 large Adirondack chairs (we do have s'mores sticks, don't worry).
And don’t forget, for that added luxury, just down the steps from the back deck, you'll find a barrel sauna and Hot Tub. Jump right in for your much needed relaxation!
Even with being just 30 minutes from downtown Asheville, you will be surprised how magical the stargazing in the hot tub is at night.
Last thing to mention, yes we are dog-friendly! We love our furry friends and have a food/water bowl, as well as a dog bed at the home.

Property was great, clean and well equipped. Great location, not far to anything. Only issue was that the game room tv was not working but for us that was not really an issue. Looking forward to possibly a return visit. Thanks for a great week.
Very enjoyaable
The Spa Lodge is a great place for a relaxing vacation and is situated on a country lane halfway between Asheville & Hendersonville. More than enough space for the 3 of us in our party (comfy beds!)- the way the space is laid out, would be ideal for grandparents traveling with a family with children. Suggested itinerary for those of you doing a weekend stay from this location: We arrived on a Friday, and after getting groceries at Ingles conveniently located on Rt. 25, we spent the evening enjoying the hot tub and steam sauna (gently jiggle the timer switch if resetting the machine doesn't get it up and running). On Saturday, my partner and his son spent the day exploring Hendersonville while I had a badly needed spa & reading day at the house. The back deck is wonderfully large and I enjoyed the space for doing some yoga, as well as meandering around the deep backyard. For Saturday evening, I made dinner reservations for us at Tupelo Honey South Asheville, then we drove to the NC Arboretum to explore the gardens (parking was free by the time we got there!). On Sunday, checkout was at 10am, and we drove to Asheville to spend the day there before heading back to Virginia. We considered going to the WNC Nature Center, which would have been a nice addition (note that they have limited visiting hours), but our kid had not remembered ever being to a city so we decided to spend all our extra time in exploring Asheville.
My husband, our children and my parents stayed here on a recent weekend trip to Asheville. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and space this property offered. All the bathrooms were also updated and the rooms had comfortable furnishing. Our three boys stayed in the kids room, (we brought our own pack and play). My husband and I stayed in the other room on the second floor nearest our children and my parents took downstairs. There were other creative places for others to sleep like sleeper sofas and a chaise lounge, so you can accommodate more people especially if people aren't picky, but a solid 3 rooms. The location wasn't far from the Biltmore or Arboretum, which was one of the primary reasons for our visit, and was an easy commute into Asheville. I'd recommend it. (***Just make sure you check with your credit card company if you're redeeming travel miles since ours didn't cover this VRBO because of the way the category is coded)
Large, clean house with everything you may need for a large family. Awesome outdoor space! Hot tub works perfectly. Sauna is a bit small and the door doesn't seal tight, however the heater is big enough for that space that it heats up fast (we appreciated the detailed operating instructions). Will be glad to come back the next time we're in the Asheville area.
This property was a great place to stay. Very quiet neighborhood and responsive host. When you come to the property, be aware the street is a little hidden. We really enjoyed our stay.
We loved the cabin. We traveled from Indiana to do some hiking in the area. It was clean and as described online. Enjoyed the hot tub each evening.
The home and space were perfect for our family of 6. The house was clean and in great shape and Rachel was super responsive to any questions or needs.
This property was very clean and comfortable and met our needs. Location allowed us to make easy trips into Asheville, Hendersonville and several local wineries. Our host, Rachel, was very responsive to our questions and provided great customer care.
