Very cozy and quiet. Loved sitting outside by the fire listening to tree toads and looking out over the fields.

Love this cabin and the location is perfect

Very nice stay. The cabin was hot when we arrived and the air conditioning looked like it needed cleaned. My daughter has allergies so we chose not to use it but luckily it cooled off in the evening after opening the windows. Other than that it was a perfect stay. Great location. Make sure you have four wheel drive if there is any weather as the road to the cabin is very steep with loose gravel. Owner was super responsive and we enjoyed the trail to the state park.

Had this trip planned for a while and of course the snow storm just had to come in right before. Thankfully they were amazing and reached out to offer a different option with a safer driveway. Had a wonderful stay! No complaints!

We ended up staying at a different property due to weather challenges. Hannah was very accommodating and it it was cozy and had everything we needed.

The host and hospitality. Owner came and plowed the driveway when it snowed and even wiped pur car off!

My husband & I spent 3 days over Christmas here with our 2 adult kids & a grand-dog. Our son lives 1.5 hrs away & we drove from Nebraska. When they say all wheel or 4 wheel drive is needed to get there in inclement weather, they aren't kidding. The cabin was exactly what I expected based on the listing & reviews. The kitchen is kinda small if you want to do extensive cooking but very sufficient & well equipped for a vacation rental. There were some asian lady beetles as others have mentioned (look like ladybugs) but you are in the middle of the forest. It seemed that they had treated for them as we found more dead than alive. My son & I hiked the main trail at Hocking Hills on Christmas day. There were more people than I expected but it wasn't crowded. We all, including the dog, hiked to Whisperiing Cave the next day. We only saw three people once we got past Lower Falls. We were able to let the dog off leash (I know, very much against what we should have done & we wouldn't have if there were people around. She was within a few feet of us at all times & leashed as soon as we saw those 3 people.) She was in heaven, running a few feet ahead & coming back to check on us to make sure we were still coming. The hot tub was amazing after this hike to ease our tired legs & feet. My husband liked this trip so much he wants to rent a cabin for Christmas every year now.

Such a cute property and would definitely return! Minutes from many of the pet-friebdly Hocking Hills attractions. Huge private yard. Hot tub was a great touch! The hostess was very responsive and helpful, providing info about the area, as well. Absolutely recommend this for your next HH stay!

Had an outstanding time. This is my second year staying at the cabin and always have a wonderful time. The place is cozy and perfect for a cold November day with hiking.

Overall was an amazing experience. Only a few minor things weren't great, tv remote didn’t work and the showers water pressure was very low. Location and cabin was amazing, had a great weekend relaxing there.

Hot tub felt great and very clean. Cabin felt like home and was clean.

The location was nice and quiet and the hot tub was great. We loved the cabin and location, it was only five minutes from the main state park entrance. We were disappointed the grill didn’t work since we brought steaks and hamburgers to cook on it and ended up having to cook it in the oven. The only thing I would say is that the cabin needs a little deep cleaning. There’s a lot of dust and that can be easily cleaned up and some nicer, cleaner bedding and pillows to help make it 5 stars.

This cabin is perfect if you are looking for a quiet get away. It has everything you need along with a hot tub, grill, and firepit. We enjoyed spending time relaxing outside on the porch. Property manager Hannah was also very kind and helpful.

Excellent location close to trails. Very private and comfortable. Hot tub was great after hiking all day. Beds were ok, wish I had brought my own pillow. Would definitely stay here again! ( Could use a deep clean of ceiling fans and light fixtures, but this didn't take away from my stay. Also had a little issue with wasps on porch, but that's too be expected this tone of year with all the natural wood) Decorated for the season which was a nice touch.

All four of us were very please with the property. Clean, decorative, fully equipped, close to the hikes we wanted. Wish our stay was longer.

What I sent the owner with no response Thank you for allowing us to stay at your cabin. While we enjoyed the location and overall atmosphere, I wanted to share some concerns we encountered during our visit that impacted our stay.    •    Bathroom issues: The shower had very low water pressure and was difficult to use. The toilet seat was loose and slipped each time it was used. No hand soap in kitchen and bathroom hand soap was almost gone so we bought one and left there.     •    Wasps: We experienced a significant wasp problem outside, including one of us being stung. Unfortunately, this made it impossible to enjoy sitting on the porch during the day. So we had to go do things since we couldn’t relax on the porch.     •    Linens and towels: There were no additional bath towels provided, and one kitchen towel. No trash bags.     •    Amenities: There were no instructions for using the TV, which made it difficult to access.I’m sharing this feedback so you’re aware of these issues for future guests, as they did make our stay less comfortable than anticipated. We chose your property because of the great reviews and photos, and I believe addressing these points would help keep it in line with the expectations set on Vrbo.Thank you for taking the time to review this. The cabin was nice. The bed was hard . And the shower needs to be up dated. The way to get the shower started. It very strange. The hot tub was very nice. We enjoyed are stay .

Quiet rural cabin

Older cabin with a very long gravel driveway that is off the beaten path. I would recommend a 4x4 if you are expecting rain. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning some day.

This was the first vacation including my 10 month old pup and what a wonderful experience it was. We had everything we needed (except scissors and a pen, my bad though), actually had a cell signal (not the case at another cabin last year) for both of our providers. Location is great and private. Not as fancy as some cabins (my guy friend's comment), but rustic and comfortable.

Secluded, peaceful, and relaxing

Very cute cabin in the woods!! Centrally located to everything in the Hocking Hills area, 18 minutes from the grocery store in Logan. We had so much fun spending time in the hot tub and cooking in the kitchenette. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a little rustic cabin getaway!!

Very secluded property. No one around you except for deer and other wildlife. We found a little turtle which I will share a picture with. Property managers or owners were very helpful dealing with the problems that we had which was out of their control. Thank them!

It was wonderful and so quiet just what we needed and so close to all the trails

We stayed 9 nights. The cabin is secluded with views over fields on three sides. We used it as a base to explore the trails, forest, caves, water falls and lakes. The location puts it in the heart of the hills with beautiful drives through the forest all around. Deer everywhere. On the property every morning and evening deer were active. A couple of times we saw fawns with the zoomies racing around there mother. The cabin was clean, the bedding was clean and comfortable. The window air conditioner was adequate to keep the cabin comfortable. The host was thoughtful calling or informing us prior to mowing the grass and servicing the hot tub, so as not to interfere with our time. The 1/2 mile gravel driveway was maintained and since we use our vehicle off road we counted it as off road time(lol). We would stay here again if the opportunity arrisses. Thank you Hannah and Patrick for maintaining such a nice cabin.

The cabin was very cozy . It had all we needed for a quick trip ( 3 days and 2 nights ) . We enjoyed seeing turkeys and deer in the surrounding fields . Very close to the hiking trails we needed . Hanna (host) checked in with us via call and text to make sure we had all we needed and gave us some advice on trails .

We loved our stay. It was close to all the hiking areas but set far enough back that it was very private. We brought our two dogs and the property had a huge area for them to run around. Communication with the host was great and the property was very clean. Not only was it clean but it was also super cute and cozy. I would highly recommend!!

Overall, we had a great stay. The cabin was perfect for just the 2 of us and our dogs. The location is probably the best part, very secluded, and plenty of nice yard with grass for the dogs. Other cabins we have stayed in were muddy outside when it rained, or had very steep inclines for a yard. This place had acres of nice grassy fields for the dogs to explore. We will definitely consider this place for future visits. Never heard from owners prior to check in, but instructions were clear and we had no issues checking in.

Be prepared that the half mile gravel road to the cabin is a challenge- definitely recommend a truck/jeep vs car - as we found out with our car.now for the cabin- beautiful specious living room with comfy couch and a nice spacious kitchen.the left bedroom as you face the bathroom had a nice comfortable bed - the right bedroom unfortunately was not as comfortable as my partner found out - it felt like the springs were poking through the mattress. other than that the electric fireplace was awesome as was the hot tub. the only thing with the hot tub would be the wooden block used as a step to get into the tub- its a bit awkward and my partner almost lost his balance getting in and out of the hot tub- recommend getting a step stool that is balanced and goes up a little higher so its easier to get in and out. overall we had a great time and the view was terrific . if u want to be away from the usual cabin neighbors this is the place - quiet and peaceful. the owners also responded very quickly to my messages and were very nice .thank you hannah and patrick. this was our second time renting from them and hope to do so again soon.

Hannah and the cabin were wonderful. It was just what we and our dog needed. A wide open space to relax and enjoy nature. You won’t be disappointed!

My daughter and I met up at the cabin for a long weekend of trails, coffee shops, the winery, and puttering around. The weather didn’t cooperate, but we were very comfortable and excellently located. The cabin owners checked on us when the power went out due to storms and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent family and wonderful property for this trip!

Only trouble was with location. Google maps thinks the cabin is in another lot. But it does say on the map Ponderosa Cabin so my fault! Clean, secluded, and near all the fun in hocking hills!

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Ponderosa. Everything was great! The hot tub was wonderful and was steps away from the door - so perfect for the cold winter weather!Hosts were very great & responsive

Check in was easy, place was very clean. Went hiking in hocking hills on the 2nd day and the wife tripped on a root and rolled 30’ down steep embankment and hit a tree and then went 10’ mare and landed in a creek. Over an 1.5 hours waiting on park personnel to help we started walking out. 2.5 hours later she spent 5 hours in the emergency room in Logan. That’s about all but this had nothing to do with the host. Everything was very nice place to stay Just cut short.

Perfect place to get away and very close to all the area hiking attractions. Our dog enjoyed the huge field to run around on. Host was responsive and helpful.We will definitely book this location again!

We enjoyed our peaceful, secluded stay at the Ponderosa. The house had everything we needed. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking and we loved seeing the deer in the fields everyday. The host let us know the cabin was ready early for checkin and provided contact info if we needed anything additional (which we didnt). The contactless checkin process was simple and the directions to the property were accurate. There was another house that shared the same driveway, but we did not encounter any other cars on the long driveway during our stay.

We certainly enjoyed the quiet cabin and perfect hosts, but the bonus for us was the open field where our dog could run free. He LOVED it and I loved watching him! This nice private cabin gave us a perfect place to get away from the city lights to enjoy the Perseid Meteor Showers. The free John Glenn Astronomy Park program was only a mile away.

Nice a quiet cabin in the woods. Able to hike to Old Man Cave from cabin. Just about 1.25 miles from park. Enjoyed our long weekend.

The Ponderosa was the perfect spot for a weekend away. Secluded, lots of wildlife, a trail near to cabin, hot tub was perfect after hiking all day!

Cabin was just as described and very clean. Only complaint is the mattresses are not for people with bad backs. Other than that, we enjoyed out stay very much

Really enjoyed the privacy. Close to the things we wanted to do.. Would suggest.. new mattress, water pressure in shower, and we couldn't the water in the hot tub to heat past 80.. maybe a new frying pan.. Over all. We'd stay again!!
