Lewiston, California
"Cabin in the Woods" is a remodeled 1920's Trinity Lumber cabin sure to provide guests with a memorable stay. Close to three charming towns my cabin is very comfortable and has everything guests need to enjoy the area's fishing, golfing, kayaking, rafting, soaking in the hot tub, hiking and other wonderful recreation opportunities.
The Trinity Riverfront is on the same 7-acre property one block away from the cabin. The cabin area also has a lower meadow/campground area with boat & trailer parking as well as an RV space (for separate rental fees). You can kayak, swim, raft, boat and fish on the river, or visit nearby Lewiston, Trinity and Whiskeytown Lakes.
The cabin has beautiful views, lots of privacy, a private 4-person hot tub, high speed & unlimited Internet, Wi-Fi calling, washer/dryer, full kitchen, a 43" flat screen Roku smart TV with DISH satellite channels, board games & cards, books, fans, front furnished patio deck with a Charbroiler propane BBQ, umbrella, rear deck w/fire pit/BBQ (fall/winter), and chairs. The lower shed is stocked with recreational items such as inner tubes, rafts, outdoor corn hole game, 4 bicycles, helmets and pump available for guests' use.
The cabin is a perfect place to get away, "unplug" and help your well-being, getting away from the daily grind--Fishermen and fisherwomen welcome! The area has surprisingly good restaurants, bars, great music venues, annual craft fairs, special art and cultural events, Wednesday farmers' markets from 4-7 pm in Weaverville (Highland Art Center Meadow, mid-May through mid-October). Trinity Brewing Co. has wonderful craft beers, entertainment and food. Also, hosted Art Walks are held the first Saturday evening of the month, and the wonderful Trinity Performing Arts Center is host to several live music, comedy and performances every month.
Please note: Even though allowed, please provide information about your pet, confirm he/she is house broken, and that you agree not to leave him/her in the cabin alone. The pet fee is $40 and waived for ADA- certified service dogs only.
Wet nice location. Narrow road to drive in the dark but close to River if you want to drop a line
Loved this property!!! Was a little scary driving down the road at night but once we found the property it was very nice and peaceful! There is a cute town 20 minutes away so not too remote but still away from too many people which was really nice!!! Property was also very clean and communication with host was fast and easy ?
We had a great stay at Poker Bar Farms cabin. It was clean, comfy, and very well stocked with everything we needed. We loved sitting in the hot tub in the evenings after being out exploring and fishing during the day. The cabin is centrally located between Weaverville and Lewiston which made exploring both areas really easy. And pet friendly… perfect for us!
Cob webs around premises stay was decent pictures of place are outdated they say 2017 on some of them and show like its right on the river and have river access did not have access to river the bikes that were there all had flat tires and had to air up chains were rusted could barely ride them at all cause the chains were mess up bbq needed extensive clean before used it hot tub was very nice and enjoyable beds were very comfy tv is not same as pictured in tv either also accused/harrased of taking some ice chest thing but we brought our own.
This is by far, the cleanest, coziest, most organized little cabin we have ever stayed in!! Very quiet & peaceful, nicest place on the block! Love, love, love ❤️ ? Thank you Lisa!
Very nice and clean!
Very relaxing, very quiet, best of all, a private small beach to go into the water and just sit there listening to the river.
Our family of three little bears found the cabin in the woods to be just right. Lisa was a great hostess, she has thought of everything, even down to the homemade zucchini bread. We took the bikes out for an evening ride, played cornhole in the yard, and soaked in the hot tub after a day of exploring the area. We drove to several river access points, as there wasn’t access from the cabin/neighborhood. The access points are just that, access and not really beaches for pole fishing. But they are free and we were able to drop our lines in a couple of places. This was a short trip for us, so we couldn’t possibly get all of the things done that are offered in the area. Lisa had an incredible catalog of things to do, menus, maps and more. The cabin was fully stocked and clean! The cabin looks exactly like the pictures. This was our very first VRBO experience and we had a great time.
Lisa made sure everything we might need was at the house down to dog toys and treats. We will be back. Jim
Lisa is a fabulous host and made sure everything was perfect for our stay - offering lots of suggestions on things to do in the area. The cabin had everything that we needed for our getaway - perfectly equipped, lovingly appointed and located close to a multitude of outdoor activities in the area. A perfect getaway and highly recommended!
We had the best time, the cabin was perfect, the peace and quiet is what we were looking for and found it thanks Lisa for a memorable weekend.
Great property. Lisa bent over backwards to make our stay excellent. Will definitely be returning.
Perfectly placed near the Klamath and Six Rivers National Forest, this cabin provides the best location for those adventure seeking individuals. Lisa made me right at home with her amazing host skills along with her delicious homemade baked goods! If you want to feel sucluded in a beautiful small town community, that’s also filled with tons to do for the outdoor enthusiast. THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU !!
This property was a perfect home base during the afternoon and evening after exploring all the local communities, hiking and shopping. The cabin is very comfortable, everything you could ever want or need. Lisa was a great host, answered questions, made sure we got there ok and provided a great place to relax and enjoy the landscape of Northern California.
We came to Douglas City to visit our daughter & family who moved into the area recently. This was the ideal place to stay for “downtime” to ourselves while being only 10 mins away from our daughter’s place. They also enjoyed coming over one evening for bbq. We had everything we needed and it was peaceful, comfortable & private. We hope to stay here again when we visit next year.
Our family including our Siberian Husky had a wonderful visit to the trinity river area near Lewiston. We swam in the river and kayaked Lake Lewiston. Lisa went out of her way to make our stay comfortable . The stars at night were magnificent.
Great little cabin, very comfortable stay. It has everything one needs and was sparkling clean upon our arrival. Lots to explore in the area!
We stayed as Lisa’s beautiful cabin in the woods while I was in town for my baby sisters wedding. The cabin is beautiful inside and out, and the surrounding landscape and river are absolutely beautiful too! The cabin had everything we need for our stay and then some. Lisa was amazing, dealt with last minute questions from us and is very quick to reply and we definitely appreciated her checking in on us to make sure we were good to go and enjoying our stay. If I’m back in town I will definitely be looking her up again and booking with her!
