Main Floor

Step into The Wishlist Lodge, where a warm and inviting living room awaits, complete with a cozy fireplace and expansive views of the Dixie National Forest. Unwind with your favorite movie in the comfort of the recliner, while enjoying the ambiance of the gas fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen caters to your culinary needs, and the dining table, with seating for six, offers a view you can't resist. A convenient half-bathroom is shared on this level.

Upstairs

Ascend above the trees to the master bedroom, where beautiful forest views and seclusion await. The California King size bed invites you to stretch out after adventurous days outdoors, and the full bathroom ensures utmost privacy.

Basement

The lower level features a twin over full bunk and two queen beds in the common area, along with a separate queen bedroom. All guests on this level share a full-size bathroom.

Outside

Set on an expansive lot surrounded by towering pine trees, this property is a nature lover's haven. On clear nights, gaze up at the Milky Way or bring a telescope for stargazing!

For outdoor enthusiasts, nearby Navajo, Panguitch, or Aspen Mirror Lake provide fantastic fishing opportunities. Explore Duck Creek Village's network of hiking and ATV trails.

Two grills, including a Traeger for smoking and a classic propane BBQ, are available under the covered deck for cooking your favorite meals while enjoying nature.

Soak in the sun and breathe the fresh mountain air on the back deck, furnished with two sets of patio furniture and a fire table for your enjoyment. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. '

Finish your day by toasting s'mores around the firepit under the starry night sky!

Please note that Traeger pellets and propane for the fire table are not provided.

Winter conditions may cover the deck in snow, rendering it inaccessible, and the furniture may be snow-covered during the winter months from November to April.

You will have access to the entire property. Access to the back deck is seasonal, depending on snow accumulation, during the months of November to April.

Duck Creek Village is a small, quaint mountain town that offers quick access to Southern Utah's best national parks. Although we are 'in the mountains,' we are not 'off the grid' and we do have neighbors nearby, so you can expect to see and hear others during the day. The cabin is very close to 'The Village' where the gas station, hardware store, restaurants and pub are located. It's a short drive or a nice walk to get there.

‼️ 4WD is REQUIRED in the winter months, from November to April. NO exceptions! Please do not attempt to make it in 2WD with chains. We are at 8,000 feet on the top of a mountain. The roads could be 'clear' upon your arrival and a 2-foot storm can roll in overnight. You need to be prepared with 4WD ‼️

You will have ample parking for you and your guests. We do have a parking spot for trailers, but we do not allow guests to camp in RVs outside. Guests are permitted to stay INSIDE of the property only. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests, no exceptions.

We highly recommend that you complete your grocery shopping before driving up the mountain, as there are very limited options for groceries on the mountain. The hardware store has a small grocery selection in case you forget any odds and ends, but we would not recommend relying on this for your entire trip. There are restaurants in The Village and their hours vary depending upon the season.

We allow house-trained, well-behaved dogs in our home. 75-pound weight limit. 2 small dogs totaling 75 pounds OR one large dog not to exceed 75 pounds. Dogs ONLY. No cats, fish, lizards, snakes, mini horses, pigs, etc. - sorry!

We do not stock firewood for the fire pit or propane for the fire table on the deck. We do stock propane and pellets for the grills.

    This property and the host were amazing! We had booked another property in thane area and we had to leave due to a lack of heat and general uncleanliness. Nick was gracious enough to get us into his VRBO quickly and we found the home beautiful and in a gorge location in the woods. Beautiful views and an amazingly beautiful home.My brother passed expectedly the day we’re were to leave a Nick waived the cost of our final night.Can’t tell uuu grateful we are to him. What a wonderful person. Thank you Nick! We would be back but we are buying a home in the area now but, we will pass into others the great stay we had and share with them the opportunity to stay at Nicks beautiful mountain home.
