The little house is next to a 2 acre pond, in a small neighborhood, 15 minutes from Brevard and Rosman. Upstairs is a covered porch with a bench, and down stairs is another covered porch with a swing and laundry room. Inside is a Queen bed, full kitchen, and a three-quarter bathroom. Pet friendly. Outside is a fire pit and gas grill. This is the only house on the pond, and you will have your own dock with a paddle boat. East Fork River, Dupont, and Pisgah Forest are all nearby, which providehiking, biking, and fishing. So bring your fishing poles/floats and swim at your own risk.
The pond may fluctuate depending on the seasons. It is out of my control and has a mind of its own. One day it may be full for months and then the next it may be empty. There is another dock that is for the neighbors. Almost a boat house without the rocking waves.
We are working on a firepit outside on the corner of the property, you can see where we have had a small fire before. Two hammocks are ready to enjoy around the fire pit, looking out at the pond. The big outside trash can is for bagged trash only. We also provide a propane grill that is just steps away from the kitchen. In the laundry room downstairs is a stackable washer/dryer, a water spigot with hose for rinsing off, pond/dog towels, and cleaning supplies. We are pet friendly.
Once you make a reservation I will send you more information and needed directions, GPS will take you somewhere else. We do provide a turnaround spot and parking. The driveway is somewhat narrow. We live a mile or so down the road and can be available when needed. I clean other vacation rentals as well as our own.
Check out Sassafras Mountain, which has a 360 degree view and is 15 minutes down the road out East Fork River, a fisherman's paradise. Living Waters is my favorite water falls to adventure on, it is a 30 minute drive up curvy 215, near the blue ridge parkway.

Absolutely perfect cabin for the pup and I. Easy walk from the cabin to the east fork of the French Broad river. Love the porch swing looking out over the pond. Definitely need to use the wifi to set up gps before leaving, but toally worth it.

This was 2nd time husband, myself and our little chihuahua have stayed at the Little House On The Pond and it never disappoints! Super cute, super clean with easy check in and great communication with host! Close to many great attractions! Our go to rental when visiting relatives in North and South Carolina.

We had a great stay at this cabin. The cabin itself was extremely clean, well-kept, and very comfortable, which made it easy to relax right away. The location is one of its biggest strengths. It feels peaceful and tucked away from everything, yet you’re still just a short drive from a charming little town and an incredible forest with beautiful hiking trails. It’s a perfect balance between seclusion and convenience. The host was very kind, accommodating, and communicative throughout the entire stay, which made everything smooth and stress-free.The only note is that the pond was quite low during our visit, which was a bit different from what we expected. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.Overall, a wonderful place to unwind and disconnect. We’d definitely consider staying again.

Me and my dogs really enjoyed our Little House getaway. While I do wish the water in the pond had been higher, that’s not anything controllable, and the frog chorus while we sat in the swing and watched the birds made up for it. You can tell a lot of love went into this place and I would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay with, Jessica. Her and her husband, Levi were great! The only problem we had was the lack of a pond. But, the local waterfalls made up for that. Haha will stay again.

We really did enjoy having adventures here. The inside of this home is the most cozy, clean environment. It’s just fun to be there. If you like nature and enjoy the simple life this is a wonderful getaway!

Everything needed for a weekend getaway, except maybe a couch. Nice seating outside on the porch, though.

One of my daughters and I took this little getaway together. The Little House was perfect for our stay. It was tucked back off this quaint gravel road right on its own little pond. The wildlife noises at night and in the mornings were amazing. We got to see deer come drink from the pond in the early mornings while also getting to watch a family of ducks and also geese enjoy the pond. The Little House had everything we needed and the size was perfect. Also, Jessica was wonderful! My daughter and I were trying to find the best fishing spots and Jessica and her husband were so gracious to take time to chat with us to give us the rundown on our options. The checkin process and check out process were super easy and convenient. We will definitely be looking to come back again!
