Beautiful place! The lake is down further from the cabin than it looks in pics, but didn’t matter to us! Lovely getaway place!!!

We are so grateful for a weekend trip here. The cabin was clean and cozy with fresh towels, fresh linens, no complaints. The little details are what really got us. Filtered water already in the fridge, a s’mores kit, logs for the fire pit… wow! We appreciated every bit of it.The hot tub was super clean, the views were gorgeous, and well lit path to head down to the lake which has a cute little dock. Communication and directions were so clear and thought out — honestly wish more hosts did this! Thank you for making this trip as seamless as possible!

We had a wonderful stay at Dave and Shannon’s cabin! The property itself was very clean and well taken care of. What set it apart from other places we’ve stayed is the additional touches that create a very comfortable stay. This includes a well-equipped kitchen, many options for outdoor seating, very clean hot tub, water filters, and Roku TVs. We opted to stay in the bedroom downstairs. You can only access it from the outside (which is detailed in the listing.) We didn’t find this burdensome at all— it was easy to go in between the main house and the downstairs. Hosts were also very responsive when I reached out to them. Would absolutely stay here again!

The cabin was built exactly as advertised

This was the perfect spot for my family. We fell in love with the property quickly and had a wonderful old fashioned family vacation with the cabin and lake as the heart of it. I went birding every morning in the surrounding area and was able to see many different species followed by a morning hot tub with the kids every day. There were many fires in the fire pits which never went out due to a huge stack of wood and we went on family excursions every day in the surrounding area which were fantastic. My son saw Sasquatch in the neighborhood also. Just a good old time had by all. It was nice having our own floor and the kids having their own floor. Loved it

This was a first for our family of four and two pups. We had so much fun. The hosts were truly accommodating and incredible. We loved everything about this cabin, especially walking down to the lake. It was not only a great workout going up and down, but it was such a fun time for us and the dogs. The s’mores were a great touch, as well as having all the appliances needed to make a meal. We look forward to booking again and prayerfully making this an ongoing winter break. And I must add do not travel up the mountain at night we arrived late and we were not prepared for that. Lol

The cabin was amazing! Host checked in multiple times and was very available if any issues came up, which we had no issues. The little details matter and this place was very thoughtful when it came to that. We will book this cabin again. And the views, multiple outdoor areas and lake was awesome!

We enjoyed our stay at The Lakeside Escape. The views were wonderful and had plenty of areas to enjoy them. The communication with the owners was top notch and they wanted to make sure that we had the best time. The cabin and property grounds were very clean and well maintained. I would recommend staying and it's in a central location between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. 10/10 would stay again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, relaxing and peaceful. Cabin is lovely and well kept and clean, (won’t lie we missed not having the dishwasher, but it didn’t affect us enjoying our stay) We enjoyed the fire table on the deck our first evening taking in the beautiful views. We caught the tail end of fall colors, lovely looking out on the lake and mountain's.

Beautiful views. The sun rises over the mountains and you are able to sit comfortably inside or out to enjoy.

Property was beautiful and home was comfortable! Hosts were very responsive. Very relaxing stay plus close enough to town to be able to do family activities. Road in and out very narrow but that is to be expected in an area like this.

What a wonderful getaway. We are a family of five there was plenty of space. There weren't any problems with the place and it felt like home. Hot tub was peaceful as well as the property grounds. My children love the walk down the graded path to the lake. New dock to sit out on the lake and watch the sunrise or watch from one of two spacious decks on the home. My wife and I liked the suit below the main level it's nice to have a half kitchen in place. There was no need to go upstairs to make that first cup of coffee or tea. The drive up to the property is quaint and peaceful. Fully paved our minivan had no problems. Advice be respectful to the area it is wide enough to drive, but everyone works together on a mountain road. You may need to back up or move over to let others pass. All in the owners were wonderful we booked last minute like the day before and everything was ready on arrival. Thank you Dave and Shannon for everything including the s'mores welcome package the kids love them.

My wife and I celebrated this years wedding anniversary for the first time in the mountains of Blue Ridge. First, our Host was very accommodating throughout our stay. The cabin was immaculant and as advertised. We were pleasantly surprised to find a extra bedroom uptairs with a gaming table. The mountain view was amazing and we absolutely loved being on both the top and bottom decks everyday. Thank You for such a great environment and experience.We will definitely be back.

The house was as described by owners. Mountain View’s are amazing. The walk to the lake was a workout for sure.

The Cabin was beautiful and very clean. I especially liked the little personal touches such as the s'mores setup and Starbucks k-pods.

Perfect getaway. Home was clean and absolutely beautiful. View was stunning. Roads are a little intimidating but, so worth it. Lots of shopping close by if you need anything at all.

The cabin was lovely. Just what we expected. The view and outdoor area were perfect for enjoying the time spent outside. Parking was tight for 2 SUVs but we were told this beforehand. All in all 3 great days

This was truly a perfect trip to celebrate my birthday with the family. The cabin was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed the king suite and kitchette set up on the lower level. Every detail was considered from comfortable beds and pillows, plush towels and even a smores set up including roasting sticks marshmallows and chocolate. Hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. The location was perfect too! 15 minutes to Blue Ridge and 15 minutes to Ellijay. Close by to shopping and restaurants. We were looking for a place with a great view. We found it and so much more. The location is quiet and serene. The house itself is airy and full of light, but also cozy and inviting. All spaces were clean and thoughtfully arranged to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. Dave and Shannon were extremely attentive, thorough, understanding and patient. Truly a delight to deal with. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Hosts were amazing to communicate with at anytime. They provided everything at this beautiful cabin. Only thing a visitor needs is their clothes and groceries if choose to cook. The views were very relaxing, especially sitting in the hot tub. There are two fire pits which are very well placed on the property.The walking trail was well lit and clean and easy to walk. This place is stunning, and my favorite part was the private room downstairs that has a small kitchen and full bathroom. I definitely give this place 10 I will return!!!!Melissa E.

This place is exactly how you would imagine it to be. The views from the balcony were breathtaking! The hosts were amazing and communicated very nicely! They were able to accommodate us with early check in after explaining how we were traveling with a baby and it was much appreciated! The place was clean, beautifully kept and everything you needed was there! The thought into the details made the experience that much better. From having a play pen for little ones to even walking sticks to walk down the trail. We loved it! I would 100% recommend staying here! Thank you again!

This host was wonderful! The cabin was clean and spacious with everything we needed! The views from the decks are breathtaking! We enjoyed our Easter Sunday on the deck taking in the sights! Dave and Sharon were so kind and let us extend checkout at the last minute. Only one thing to note is that the parking is tight for full sized vehicles, but we made it work!

My family had an absolutely perfect stay when we visited over Spring Break. We spent almost the entire vacation at the house, enjoying the views, the lake, and the hot tub. The large porches on each level were excellent —we cooked meals on the grill, made s’mores on the fire table, and our dogs especially enjoyed being outside on them. Dave and Shannon were very friendly and helpful when we had questions. We’re looking forward to coming back!

Father and son time to get away and spend couple of days fishing and exploring the area. The cabin is well maintained and super comfortable. We had a great few days being in the forest, enjoying the mountain top view, and local fishing lake.

Extremely smooth process booking, paying, checking-in, and staying at the cabin. The owner did a great job with the pre-arrival paperwork, explaining all the details about the cabin in the paperwork, from lighting the grill to operating the TVs! A storm prior to our arrival affected the hot tub, but the owner quickly resolved the issue and we were able to enjoy the hot tub that very evening. The cabin is beautiful with amazing views. The cabin is gorgeous! The road to the cabin is very narrow and very windy (a little scary). The view is stunning. We had a wedding proposal on the porch overlooking the mountains and water. Wish we could've started longer. Also, host keeps in contact with you to make sure you are well taken care of!

10/10 experience. We usually take most of our vacations to the beach & this was our first cabin booking. It could not have been better. Our hosts home was extremely clean & well laid out, with activities like smores and games supplied to us. They were also very responsive & kind. We will definitely be booking again.

This property was great! Excellent views!!! The drive up and down is a little tricky due to the road not being very wide. They have a great coffee selection and everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable as well. Very easy to check in and out. The attention to detail was great with the snore's kit. It was such a nice touch. Hot tub was very clean also. Definitely would stay here again!

Great cabin with beautiful views, access to a lake, and near area hiking and site seeing. Owners very responsive and fixed a small maintenance issue immediately. We had a great stay and will likely return.

We come to GA every November as a family tradition we started when our kids were born. This by far was one of the best vacations and it was because of the location of the cabin! Views like no other! 100% recommend if you are looking for Mountain View’s! The roads up to the cabin was very accessible as well. Our host were Amazing and communication was great. We will be back for sure!

Really enjoyed the view and having a separate living space from the ground level living space. Warm and inviting on the inside, beautiful on the outside. Spent most of our time enjoyed by the fresh clean air.

Stayed for a week in this awesome cabin in Cherry Log. Everything is as advertised and the host was easy to communicate with. Place was clean and spacious with all the comforts of home provided. There were a few days during the middle of the week where we were the only people in that side of the neighborhood and we barely even saw another person. Really an awesome place. I don’t have any suggestions other than to stay here!
