PET FRIENDLY, cozy, quiet, cabin; river in the backyard STARLINK; VRP-25-0076

The property and the host, Chris, were both outstanding. The location was great. It's far enough out of town to be nice and quiet, but close enough to drive up there every day if you want. Our great dane and boxer both loved the space inside and outside. As a bonus, they even got to play with Chris's awesome dog, Boots, on several occasions. The river is a short walk from The Barn, and we went down there almost every day. It was so relaxing and fun. It was nice just to sit down by the river with the dogs and listen to the water. We didn't fish or swim, but we easily could have done so right at the river pavilion. The inside space of The Barn itself is bigger than it seems in the pictures and worked well for me, my wife, and our two large dogs. We didn't even need the second bedroom with the bunk beds. Absolutely loved our stay at this cabin in Pagosa Springs! From the moment we arrived, it felt like we’d found a hidden gem. Chris, the property owner, is truly one of a kind, welcoming, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about making sure guests have an unforgettable experience. The views were unreal in every direction, the kind that make you stop mid conversation just to stare. At night, the stars were stunning, no light pollution, just endless sky. The privacy was perfect, peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we were hoping for. And the river was incredible. It was absolutely beautiful running through the property, even if it was ice cold this time of year. Still, it added so much magic to the place. We are already talking about coming back this summer so we can fully soak in the beauty of the property and actually swim in the river. Can’t recommend this cabin or Chris enough. This is the kind of place you keep thinking about long after you leave.

Amazing cabin, everything you need.

The “Barn” was super nice, looked new, clean and had Direct TV and Starlink. The owner Chris was a very thoughtful and friendly guy. We loved our stay there.

Great location, far enough from town to be peaceful yet close enough for convenience. Excellent access to national forest and hiking trails. Wonderful wood burning stove! He's a great host and it's a super dog friendly property. The stars at night are breathtaking.

This property is very clean and easy to get to. The house has a small space to climb up to that the kids loved sleeping in.The river behind the property is amazing and makes this place worth staying at!Things to be aware of. The river is a short walk behind the house and can not be seen from the house. Any time the water is used, the pipes bang and clank and are very loud. When the hot water is used it gets very stinky and smells like sulfur. This house and the hosts house are five feet away from each other which came as a surprise to me.

The Barn & surroundings were even more beautiful, serene, & peaceful than advertised! The Host was accommodating, helpful, & friendly! Would definitely book another trip there!

This place is absolutely unreal. The barn itself is cozy, well stocked in the kitchen, and very comfortable. Literally no complaints. The river/swimming hole was our primary location for almost our entire trip. Our dogs had an absolute blast playing in the water and we floated in the river and just listened to the water. Chris, the host, was super friendly, helpful, and available at all times while still giving us our own space and privacy. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby. 1000% recommend this place for a getaway to unplug and just experience nature in peace.

The property was very pet friendly and the kitchen was very well equipped. I especially enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It was a great place to stay! I would recommend it for sure!!

This place is amazing! Friendly dogs and great scenery. The perfect place to just get away from it all. Peaceful, secluded, and not too far from things you want to do. Avoid the crowds and condos. Come here if you really want to enjoy your stay from home!!

Oh my goodness. Best vacation rental I have ever rented. 100/100 would recommend. AMAZING. Everything I dreamed of and more. Perfectly clean. Pristine. River is better than the pictures. Beds were so comfortable. Host was out of this world responsive and friendly. Location was incredible.

Came here for my girlfriend’s birthday! Beautiful property and awesome cabin. Has everything you need. Fire pits with plenty of wood, wood stove, nice furniture and beds, disc golf goal! River deck, bbq grills, awesome views and a welcoming owner! Will definitely be back! Couldn’t get any better!

Such a wonderful cabin in a great location! Cozy and quiet but not too far from town. Well built and clean with thoughtful touches and a well stocked kitchen! The pavilion by the river is beautiful and relaxing! We look forward to staying there again! Thanks Chris for such a great place to stay!!

Very pet friendly, host Chris is friendly and accommodating. The Barn was clean, cozy, really the right amount of space for us( a couple and dog). The area is beautiful, the stars are plentiful and the river access is very relaxing with the sounds of the water.

We loved the “barn”! The house and the surrounding property were clean and so beautiful. The river, the stars at night, the peaceful quiet and the hummingbirds were our favorites! We would be so delighted to stay there again. Relaxing, accommodating, had everything we needed for a peaceful Labor Day weekend with family.

This place is so much nicer than advertised! It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I love sitting by the river.

WiFi is nice because otherwise there’s no service. Not too far from Pagosa Springs. Really pretty. Cabin is a cute little set up. Chris was great with communication and made himself very available in case any needs came up.

Chris the host was very nice . I loved everything about my stay . The pavilion by the river was beautiful . I would recommend The Barn for everyone who loves a peaceful stay . I will be back in the Spring , already booking my next stay .

The Barn met all our needs. Good location for all the things we wanted to do. Host was very accommodating and he has great knowledge of the area. A quiet and safe place with a short walk down to a nice deck on the river for relaxing after a long day. Thank you Chris for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay.

Wow- this location was everything we wanted. My husband and 2 fur babies needed a weekend to recharge and relax and that’s exactly what Chris’ place afforded. I loved the coziness of the cabin, how spacious it was and all the fun wall hangings (there’s a beautiful quilt hung up in the main bedroom!). Chris himself is a giving and just wonderful person. Upon arriving at our location we were pleasantly surprised to see the wood stove already had kindling and log in there ready to be lit. This act of kindness is just who Chris is. We made delicious roast beef Sammies, had wonderful coffee in the morning and spent the evening sewing and cuddled on the fireplace. I’ve already sent this location to my closest friends! Chris, thank you for making us feel like family and opening your home to us, we will return!

This was a nice place to stay for our weekend getaway to Pagosa Springs. Its not a bad drive to town to enjoy the springs, etc. And it was nice to be away from the business of in town Pagosa Springs. The cabin is well set up with mostly everything you need. Easy to find, quiet, cute and just the right amount of rustic. Perfect size for our family of 3.

Property was located in a beautiful area. the remodel of the barn was well done and loved the wood burning heater. It kept the space warm and reminded me of my childhood making sure ours was well stocked. Very peaceful and quiet area. Would love to see it in the summer months.
