Stayed Jun 21, 2025We wanted this general location as it provided fairly easy access to Lake Almanor, Lassen, and everything in between. Didn’t disappoint, it was great. Even with 10 humans and a large doggo, never felt cramped, there was room around the giant dining table for everyone to have meals together, kitchen was pretty well stocked with the items you need to make food 2-3 times a day for that crew.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024Had a great time at the property. Plenty of room. Great recreation opportunities - Golfing and hiking. Chester is a fun little town. Not all the crowds you get in many other areas

Stayed Jul 21, 2023This house was perfect for our family of 10, which included grandparents, parents, preteens and a dog! Wonderful location with complimentary access to beach and boat launch. Close to golf course too! Loved spending time on the deck in the mornings and evenings. Host was also very responsive and took care of needs that arose very promptly. Highly recommend!

Stayed Jul 17, 2023The house design was great. We had the misfortune of being there during a heat wave so the lack of AC was keenly felt. A few fans throughout the house would have helped a lot. There was an issue with towels and the fridge struggled to keep cool when we transferred stuff from coolers to fridge (they were cool, shouldn't have been an issue). Overall, great location, accommodating host. Would rent again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The place is great, has everything you need, and a short drive to the lake. A previous guest broke the sofa bed and evolve let us know less than 24 hrs before which was disappointing since a guest was staying there. Also turned out Lassen was closed so be sure to double check that.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Quiet and clean. Amenities could have been stocked better. No coffee filters , sponge at kitchen sink and bathroom supplies were sparse. Hot water ran out too early ? Was staying up here for work , didn’t have time to go and get essentials that should have been offered. Other than that it was a nice place to sleep / shower. Loft over garage was really nice for over flow guests , maybe next time .

Stayed Jun 12, 2023Easy drive to beach and to Chester. Easy check-in. Very clean and everything we needed in the kitchen was there. Separate room over garage w/bath was nice for a quiet retreat. Futon in that room, however, could use an update. Metal frame combined with a thin futon was really uncomfortable. We ended up putting futon mattress on the floor. The beds in the main house were fine~~ 3 bathrooms were great for a large group. And our dog was very relaxed there. We appreciated that our pet could join us.
