very small bedrooms and weird bathroom setup; additionally, not much privacy for anyone with the loft setup. outdoor deck very dirty/ unusable and the walk down and over the creek/water to the dock was VERY LONG. Felt a little misled by photos and description. Not what we had hoped for.
Had a bumpy start but the property manager and owner were amazing in resolving things asap. Everything was great after that. Way more stairs than I realized even though they warn you!
House has a good kitchen with everything you may need. Clean, plenty of board games to entertain everyone.
Quiet getaway location near Craytor Lake - perfect for R&R. Great kitchen - and plenty of sleeping space. Internet Connectivity wasn’t good - but an opportunity to put the devices down and reconnect playing some good old fashioned board games. Would go back!
Stairs down to house need hand rails
Stay was okay. Disappointed no lake view or internet/wifi. Beds need upgrading. Kitchen fully stocked. Lots of steps! Quiet. Good get-away stop on our trip.
Great house with lots of books, puzzles and games. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen to cook in.
We met our college aged daughters here for a break from the dorms and studying. We enjoyed lots of good meals- kitchen was well stocked with everything. Lots of tea and hot chocolate choices. We enjoyed our time in the local state parks.
The house was very nice, clean. It is very comfortable and has everything you would need. We had a great time. However Walking down the steps from the driveway to the front door is difficult. If you have problems walking up or down steps this could be difficult. Handrails on all steps would be a big help. A number of local dogs wonder around the house and do there business everywhere, to include the front door area.
My family had a nice mid-week stay. The house was as-expected, and we had the lake pretty much to ourselves. Mountain2Island delivered a rental kayak and paddle board right to the community dock for us, and we had a great time paddling around the coves and swimming.
I absolutely love the house and the area, but saying lakefront is a little off. There is flights of stairs that are steep, wooded walkway and then a path in a ravine to get to the lake. Still a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed it!
Was very nice and clean we enjoyed our stay only problem we had was a neighborhood black and tan dog started growing at my aunt and a friend who are in there late 70 I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet getaway
This is a lovely little house on a quiet road. The big bedroom (queen) is in an open loft area so very little privacy. The online listing is lacking transparency regarding the outside. The older, wooden platform/walkway had no railing. The little railing on the stairs offers little support because of splinters. The uneven stone walkway to the front door is uneven for anyone. There is absolutely no view of the lake and to get to it requires a lengthy hike downhill. It's really a dishonest practice to say this property is lake front because it's not. Now that we know what to expect with this property, we would rent this again
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lakehouse. We were traveling with our 4 adult children to celebrate our sons graduation from Radford. The house was perfect for our needs. Thank you for sharing your lovely lakehouse with us this weekend.
The rental we had was amazing! I didn’t even know there was such beautiful areas of Radford we hadn’t know about. The house was spotless n welcoming and the perfect everything for our stay. As always, thanks vrbo!
