If you would like to book last minute (less than 24 hours from arrival) - message me directly and I can walk you through the steps if the cabin is available.
Please NOTE - if you are booking this cabin via any other website besides VRBO. You must create a VRBO account for all the check in details (including the entry code to enter the cabin). It was very nice and relaxing just what i needed.
This was the 2nd anniversary in a row we stayed here. It was great as always.
The cabin was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Very pleasant and peaceful.
This was exactly what we were looking for! No disappointment anywhere with this place. We will 100% come back.
Loved it
Third time staying on this property. Middle of July during a heatwave it’s like the planet is getting radiation treatment to get rid of the cancer making it sick? Its nice to get away from everything for a few days. The outdoor shower and a trip to Diary Queen helped a little bit with the heat of the day. We also went to some estate and garage sales. One of which was super creepy. It was in a barn and I think the people were werewolves! There wasn’t much of anything for sale and they were cooking in a bunch crockpots, in the barn, when it was 106 outside. If not werewolves, then maybe a Walking Dead Terminus situation going on. I pushed the lady that had her OF site plastered all over her car into the barn people to create a distraction and got the h e double hockey sticks out of there. That was a close one. I didn’t want any part of what was in those crockpots. I also thought I might have to fight a cow. She looked very unhappy, standing by our car. Maybe they were just trying to lure people to a super fun barn dance? Who knows? It was probably just the heat though. All in all another good stay at this little cabin in the woods, it is our favorite place to go. Quiet, secluded, lovely little place. Oh and we saw rabbits, armadillos, and even a roadrunner!
The cabin was very clean and the owner was very helpful and accommodating.
All of Donelle’s cabin was the best of both worlds: a traditional rural space with modern amenities. The cabin is secluded enough to feel remote, but you'll be close enough to the surrounding cities to get most of what you might need. I would go again!
We stayed at the other cabin back in October. This stay was just as good as that one. There was a parade in Woodville, we spent time at the Johnson Rock Shop, and went hiking at the Martin Dies State Park. Lots of things to do around there. Amongst the usual being in the woods things. Camp fire, outdoor cooking and even heard all the werewolves lurking in the trees around us. Good thing we took our big city dog with us to keep the strange creatures them away. She doesn’t do nature, she just won’t have it. A really fun place to stay.
Took the dogs, hiked through the woods some, but mostly just sat around the fire pit and enjoyed getting away.
Exactly the kind of place I was looking for in a beautiful secluded location the host was very easy to get in touch with and very friendly and accommodating loved everything about that cute little place
