Stayed Jul 25, 2025Beautiful setting, but a steep ramp down to the front door, and bedrooms that are on the first floor (stairs) or the loft (stairs). We had my 85 year old mother with us, so that was a big concern. The listing might of said lots of stairs, but we didn’t pick up on that. It seems that their family uses their property often, since closets had their clothes there. A few maintenance issues such as cob webs on the deer’s antlers on the 2nd floor, a portable AC unit in the basement which made it very warm in the bedrooms, and a cracked tile in the loft bathroom. We did find clothes in the washer and dryer from the previous tenants. Towels were old but plentiful. The cabinets were full of stuff not related to a VRBO rental. We did not meet the host, but they were responsive via email. Simple checkin and checkout procedure.

Stayed Oct 26, 2024The location was perfect. The view was spectacular. It was easy to get a hold of the property owners. This is definitely a well loved family home they are renting out occasionally. That means there is a lot of personal items around and a little less focus on cleaning some of the dusty corners. This also meant it wasn’t very childproof for our two under 2. But we had everything we needed and the view from the screened in porch was priceless.
