Hidden and quiet. Screened porch was nice for the evenings. Unique history. Really neat place to stay for a quiet getaway

Left without staying. House had not been cleaned from prior users - dirty beds, towels, kitchen. Dirty dishes in sink. Feces on the toilet. Food on the floor and on table. What appeared to be mouse droppings inside refrigerator and elsewhere in house. House smelled horrible - like moldy towels - likely because there was an entire load of moldy towels in the washing machine. WiFi did not work. No laundry detergent to try to fix the situation. Host completely non responsive - it has been 3 days and we still have not heard from the host. Working on a full refund - host has not responded following numerous messages from guests and VRBO. Reading back through all reviews, this is not the first time house has been filthy with host non responsive. DO NOT STAY HERE. Unrelated to cleanliness, house is 30-40m from Slade on an unlit twisty road and very dim lighting inside house. Also, picture does not accurately depict the property - there is no driveway or parking area - it is all grass, so it seems you are driving onto the front lawn.

This property looks nothing like the photos, also to note it is pretty much right on top of the road. Upon arrival, beds were slept in and not changed, towels all over both bathroom floors, dirty toilets, cobwebs and spiders throughout the house, floors dusty, sawdust on both couches, and the fridge was full of food and fruit flies. We stayed only long enough to see everything and take photos as evidence for a full refund. The host has not yet responded to me, our case for a full refund is pending.

Stayed Sun- Fri (was supposed to leave Sat, but the litany of issues had taken their toll)Paying 300 total per night should give the renter some sense of comfort they chose a suitable place to stay, but the negatives certainly outweighed the positives. Would not rent again.

The overall impression of the property was horrible, burnt out lightbulbs I had to change, many many many spiderwebs in all corners on the walls, window, shades lamps, etc., including spiders. A wild dog that kept running around the cabin and barking wildly, which meant any outdoor. and marshmallow roasting was completely out of the question. We were only at the property from our check-in time about 48 4 PM for about an hour assessing the cobwebs spiderwebs wasps inside and the wild dog running outside. At that time we decided we can’t stay at that cabin so we left we never spent any time in the cabin that we paid for and we’re not we’re working to try to recuperate our money not to mention it was impossible to make any contact with the host via text or phone call so please beware of this property.

Upon arrival: “Front door” locked from inside, no key for side door anywhere nearby except for the owner, who was a 2hr round trip to Lexington. She was too busy to bring key to us and her husband was at a movie. She offered us a hotel stay however with a dog and the fact that we Vrbo for a reason, that would not work. Since she was not going to be accommodating, we made the drive with our dog, who was sick of riding by this point. After the hour drive and continued efforts to make contact with her; she gave me 16 keys in total, she was unsure which was actually the correct one. It was all very sketchy and unlike anything I’d experienced in my years of renting from Vrbo/Home Away. I should also mention that during this ordeal, when I told her that we were 12 hours from home and didn’t know where anything was, she enlightened me that she had made a trip to Japan alone once, she even told me to calm down at one point. The cabin was definitely rustic. Cobwebs and bugs, not a big deal. The upstairs is hot, the window unit is unusable since it will leak through to kitchen. Urine smelling clothes were in dryer. Sheets stunk and you are even instructed to leave sheets on bed when you leave…gross. Had to flip breakers for microwave, washer and both bathrooms multiple times. I tried contacting her several other times on our trip, even to let her know she had left her purse there…sketchy. Still haven’t heard back from her. She said she’d give me some money back, not holding my breath.

This cabin is huge. It’s full of antiques and eclectic decor. We loved it. It’s closed to red river gorge and natural bridge so perfect for day hikes. It is dusty. Remember it is a cabin. Don’t expect Marriott or Hilton. There were some issues I addressed with the owner, who seems attentive to taking care of them. There is no pool table. The game room is now an extra bedroom but there are plenty of board games, a chess/checkers table and ample room to spread out, read, play games, whatever. The hot tub is a jacuzzi bath. Overall, a nice place to stay with plenty of room and I was so appreciative that our dogs were welcome too.

This cabin is about a 30 minute drive from Natural Bridge/Gorge/and Miguel’s Pizza. It is very secluded with a short hiking trail at the rear of the property. The cabin is cozy and rustic. The decor is very eclectic and really cool! The cabin was stocked with most everything you would need (shampoo, first aid, breakfast, etc etc). Which is a good thing because once you get to the cabin, you don’t want to leave. The cabin is very spacious and comfortably can accommodate 6 people! The host was extremely helpful and we appreciate that they allow pets! We would definitely stay again!

We loved the cabin, a little sad we didnt get the yummy check in dinner and breakfast goodies everyone was talking about, but of well. The cabin is amazing, had plenty of room for us, very comfy beds and pillows. Coffee maker was broken, but we managed. We loved everything about it. We will for sure be back

We had lovely a girls weekend at Peddlers Inn. We were greeted by fresh Mums, a casserole, lots of breakfast goods, and even s’mores. The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and very rustic. The beds were very comfortable. Only 30 minute drive to Red River Gorge.
