Beautiful peaceful bay on the Houghton Canal, great for any water sports, fishing, hunting or just taking in all the beauty the Keweenaw has to offer! There is a deck on each cabin, a deck by the water and a dock. All three cabins are fully equipped with linens, and kitchen ware, cable TV and wifi internet provided. For motor sports enthusiast, these cabins are located roughly 3.5 miles from the nearest trail crossing.

Stayed Sep 6, 2025We were vacationing and had our dogs with us. This was a peaceful location with a yard for the fur babies. It was also great for day trips in the area.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025This property was just perfect for my stay. I was able to work remotely while enjoying the lake view, friends and family came by to swim and enjoy meals together. Very cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025The location was everything! Beautiful view of the canal with a perfectly sized cabin. We generally enjoyed our stay. I can’t give the property 5 stars though because there are maintenance issues that should be addressed for future guests. The screen on the window in the kitchen is broken and the screen door to the deck leaves about a 2 inch gap at the bottom. Since the property doesn’t have AC, these should be fixed as soon as possible for summer guests. Our first night, we didn’t notice these screen gaps and thousands of gnats joined us indoors for the evening - and then proceeded to die en masse. We vacuumed the gnat corpses up the next day and went on with our vacation. At least they weren’t mosquitoes. The next evening we closed the back door and only opened windows with working screens for air flow.

Stayed Aug 22, 2024Enjoyed our stay to visit the area and drop of our Tech student. Lots of room, wonderful morning and evening views and quick 10-15 minute drive to / from campus. Great central location for exploring the Keweenaw. My only comment would be that the on-demand hot water heater is a bit wonky and gives you inconsistent water temps in the shower from too hot to too cold in bursts - probably not a huge deal for most, but if you need a relaxing shower it might be a consideration.

Stayed Sep 1, 2024My husband, dog, and I enjoyed our stay right on the canal! The cabin is a little older with some windows and screens needing attention, but it was exceptionally clean and comfortable as our base-camp for adventures around the peninsula. Great proximity to Houghton and Hancock. Easy check-in process. Definitely a positive experience!
