Secluded property on the beautiful waters of Smith Lake. Sit on the front porch with your morning coffee & just enjoy the view or your favorite read. Later on you can go jump in the lake for a swim, kayaking, canoeing or sit on dock for fishing or just take a nap. Property adjoins Bankhead National Forest - perfect for hiking & exploring nature. Sit outside by fire pit in the evening, great for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows for s'mores, for your enjoyment!
This was a fun stay! We really enjoyed it. Getting down to the cabin was tough because I was on a car and the road had a little wash out. It was steep and gravel but we made it work. Would definitely come back! Beautiful view!
We rented both houses for 6 days. We loved it and would rent again. True cabins, which was part of the appeal for us personally. Quiet, secluded. Everything we needed.
Nice place to get away. Was supposed to be house 2, but received code for house 1. Quite place.
Really cool place. View from the front porch is amazing! Great for family and pets.
This is the perfect place to get away from everything. It is very secluded, the lake is beautiful but a steep hike down to it. We didn't have time to explore and see if there was an easier way to access it. Directions were a little confusing. When we arrived there were 2 cabins and we weren't sure which one we were to go to. Thankfully nobody was in the other cabin. They are marked 1 and 2, this one is 1. The cabin was very clean. We have Verizon phone service and barely had any service there. There is no cable and the TV channels don't come in, so I would suggest downloading some entertainment if you want it. Overall we enjoyed our stay here!
Property has what you need. (TV reception not so good, but...) We saw hummingbirds, hawks, a wonderful view of the lake, and morning and night saw a family of foxes! Beautiful, green, and with a great AC!
Overall our experience was very good. The cabin was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Also, the scenery was very pretty. We did have two minor issues. 1- our GPS sent us down a road/ driveway that was somewhat rough and steep. This made it difficult to haul our pontoon boat in and out. We later found an alternate route that was much better. 2- The blinds in the cabin were basically transparent and the people in the other cabin had their car headlights pointed in our window most of the night.
Ants were all over the kitchen. The roads were almost in-drivable and I had no clue it would be that way.. The access to the lake was ridiculous. The pier was sketchy, broken. The cabin was stocked with the nessasary supplies at least and I thank you for that. I definitely would not book this again.
The property featured a very nice view of Smith Lake. The cabin was definitely rustic but in a good way. Our family wnjoyed our stay in this secluded spot and look forward to doing it again when there is more time for a longer stay.
Very relaxing environment.
