Great place to stay for a group! The house was just like the photos online, very clean, and the view from the deck was amazing! We will definitely stay here again in the future and recommend it to friends looking for a stay. The location is just a few minutes from Main Street in Banner Elk or you can drive up to Beech Mountain for more restaurants and Mountain Views.

Amazing space, would definitely stay again. The queen bed is in a non-private loft space which I couldn't tell from the listing but it wasn't a problem for us. Love the area.

The house worked out great for our family of 9 and it could have held a couple more. The house has an amazing view from the back porch, along with deer that would visit often.

This property is excellent! The location is awesome. You're close to Sugar and Beech ski resorts and groceries/shopping, but it feels like you're not. The house itself is nicely appointed and equipped with more than the appliances you'd expect, and has plenty of space for everyone. Everything is clean and comfortable. The windows and wrap around deck give unbelievable views.John is a great host. He's friendly, accessible and helpful. We have stayed at a number of his properties and will continue to do so.

The views were truly stunning and we enjoyed that part of the stay. A few things could be improved—such as the non-working hot tub and the need for updated pots and pans in the kitchen. We also would have appreciated knowing the trash rules beforehand, especially with Thanksgiving cooking. Families with small kids may find the space a bit challenging.

The cabin exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The host, John was very attentive and accommodating. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful house

Beautiful home, great location, very comfortable for 8-10 friends. Kitchen was well stocked. Fitting 5 cars into the narrow, curving driveway was a challenge. Disappointing that the fire pit area could only accommodate about 4 ppl safely.

The cabin was very clean and cozy with beautiful views. The kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking needs! We had a wonderful weekend stay!

The home was perfect aside from the bee problem. I had to kill 20 live hornets/yellow jackets in the house on the main floor and bedroom. There were dead bees on the window sills when we arrived.

We absolutely loved our stay at this mountain cabin in Banner Elk. The cabin was clean, cozy, and perfectly tucked away for a peaceful mountain escape. The views were stunning, and we especially enjoyed relaxing on the porch each morning with a cup of coffee.The location was ideal, quiet and secluded, yet close to everything. There were plenty of activities within a short drive, from outdoor adventures and wineries to downtown Banner Elk’s great restaurants and shops.The host was wonderful, quick to respond, and made sure we had everything we needed. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway!

Beautiful escape from our crazy life! Beautiful property, beautiful home & friendly host! We were able to explore all the areas around the area, Banner Elk was a cute quaint town!

Above all the rest.This rental home experience was exceptional, compared to all the many other VRBO homes I have been in for the past many, many years. This homeowner is most generous in bringing a feeling of comfort and warmth to this home with comfortable furniture and touches of decor niceties. I have never been in a VRBO rental where the owners kitchen had everything and more a family needs to make their meals. I always bring dishes, utensils and cookware with me when we go on vacation because most rentals have very little or they have old cookware. I am most grateful to this home owner for giving to me and my family a wonderful stay! Of course, the view, and the deck is also above and beyond what we expected. The sunsets brought tears and happiness. Thank you, thankyou!

Great place with amazing views.

This is our second year at Longview. Everything is clean and well organized. The well equipped kitchen, large dining table , and deck dining make meals a breeze. Longview is a perfect place for extended families. We will be back!

We had an awesome time. We stayed for our 46st wedding anniversary! We enjoyed every moment. So much thought went into making this cabin your home away from home!!

Great weather, close to ski slopes, fun time. Perfect location for an amazing view. Loved Fred’s Mercantile nearby. We enjoyed seeing the many deer in the neighborhood. We loved the security of a gated community and the privacy of the area. The house is beautiful with comfortable beds, and gas logs were fantastic. We made some good memories.

Pretty, well appointed home. Our group of 11 enjoyed the two living spaces and the nice kitchen. Beautiful views from the porch! We got the snow we were hoping for, too! Dining room chairs and downstairs bunk beds were rickety, need some attention. Matresses on 3 king beds not in great shape. Overall, with a few tweaks, a very nice place to stay.

The cabin was lovely and located close to slopes. Well stock kitchen with a wonderful views. The owners responded promptly to any questions. I highly recommend property.

We trully enjoyed our stay here! Fantastic property and views. You can also take a gorgeous walk by taking the road that goes through the community and get to the green fields to enjoy sunset. Will be coming back!
