It was a amazing stay

The property was as described, a quiet cabin within easy reach of local attractions. Clean and well provisioned. Especially enjoyed the hot tub.

The property was in the perfect location, surrounded by woods. It was so quiet and picturesque. The inside clean, set up and decore just perfect for a cabin. I would give this place 5 stars. My sister and I plan on going back for sure.

Super cute, clean, wondeful amenities. Fire pit was fantastic. Hot tub was great for relaxing after a day of hiking.

The cabin was exactly as advertised. There were little nit-picky things like the tiki torches were rotted and the fire starter was almost dead. But the outside string lights worked and we were able to roast a couple of marshmallows with the limited fire we had. I wish we’d had more hand towels, or aluminum foil, or some ziplock bags. A hair dryer would have been wonderful! The owner did reach out and ask us if we needed anything, but these were all little things. We could have gone to Walmart ourselves if it’d mattered so much. Overall, the place was wonderful and the location was exactly where we wanted to be.

We loved how centralized the property was to our destinations. The cleanliness and warm, welcoming environment. Only critique: The door and kitchen window could use a curtain.

Host was so patient and we enjoyed our stay esp the hot tub.

The host was very nice and everything looked okay at first glance, but unfortunately there were a few really unpleasant issues that made our stay uncomfortable.First, the amount of pet hair was overwhelming. We were absolutely covered just from sitting on the couch. We had our own dog with us (a bichon), and we actually had to open the windows because we were having allergic reactions.Second, the bedding had clearly not been changed. When we went to put our children to bed, there was a significant amount of long dog hair, food crumbs, and even a fake eyelash (ew!) on and under the covers. The host suggested we look for clean bedding in the hallway closet, but there wasn’t any available.I vacuumed in the morning and the vacuum bag was nearly full just from pet hair from a long-haired dog. We ended up leaving as soon as possible.Additionally, we never received check-in instructions and had to ask the host for both the front door code and the WiFi password, as neither was posted anywhere.For 350 a night, we really expected much better in terms of basic cleanliness and communication.

This cabin was a fabulous get away. Tucked in the mountains, it is so charming with so many great amenities. The coolest part was roasting marshmallows while enjoying the outdoor theater. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time! This place was perfect for the short getaway my wife and I were trying to have. The hot tub was fantastic, especially after a long hike, and it was cool watching Castle in the Sky in the middle of the woods. We were even visited by a Rosy Maple Moth in the middle of the movie, and I had never seen one of those in real life before! Definitely would stay again!

This place is supercute! There is a very home-y feel to everything. They have multiple options of things to do on the property as well as give you lots of ideas of things to do in the area. Our family of 5 really enjoyed getting away from everyday life and being able to spend it in a home away from home.

Very nice rustic get-a-way in a quiet neighborhood - relaxing retreat. Close to attractions and kayaking in the river. The outdoor theater was a nice touch - helpful hints: you will need a computer, DVD player, or an Amazon fire stick to work the projector (HDMI connection) with wifi capability and take a Bluetooth speaker to enhance your experience. Great yard if you have dogs, but don't forget flea/tick protection to keep them safe. Kristen was excellent with communication! I would recommend this cabin in the future.

Kristen’s place did the trick! We enjoyed the privacy and outdoors of this place. Got a fire going and made memories. Definitely will be back soon!

Our stay was okay.

My wife and I spent a lovely weekend at Cardinal Cabin along with our dog, who lived his best life running and sniffing through the adjacent forest. The property was clean and cozy. We especially enjoyed the firepit and hot tub!

The place a trip was fun a great spot just a few minor things but definitely didn’t over weight the good

Great little weekend getaway spot to escape the city.

We just got back home from an amazing stay at this property! We absolutely loved the location. Close to the local Walmart and Luray Caverns! We wanted a low key getaway for Christmas this year and this property was AMAZING! I brought a small Christmas tree for Christmas, but was so pleasantly surprised that a Christmas tree was already there! This place lived up to my expectations and more. The hot tub was amazing! We played endless amounts of the board games that were provided which our family loved! So many great memories made. The bedrooms were cozy and the bathroom was very clean. The host was so accommodating and very fast with responses to questions. We made great use of the fire pit that already had wood that was provided. I can’t say enough great things about the property. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again!

This place is exactly as described. Extremely clean and put together. I felt like I was walking into a home! The location is great, as it's close to Luray, and all that Shenandoah has to offer. When we first arrived we were having issues with our door code. I message Kristen and she immediately responded. We had to troubleshoot some things but she was able to quickly get us into the house. I was worried we would be sleeping in the truck. But her attentiveness and quickness to response was amazing. I'd definitely recommend a stay here.

Although we only stayed one day, our stay was perfect in every way. The rental details described were acturate and the host provided everything we could possibly need. We would definitely stay again!

Second time staying at this cabin. Just love it here literally 15 minutes from Luray town center and Luray Caverns. Five minutes from Cooters. Thoroughly enjoyed the cabin to include the fire pit and the hot tub. Really easy to ask our host any questions we might have with quick response.

We had a lovely time in the house. Was perfect for visiting the park and going on a hike. Bed was comfortable and the house had everything needed. The oven could use a upgrade but wasn't a big issue

My mom and I had the most amazing stay! We enjoyed all the amenities and it’s in an ideal location- close to the caverns and NP. House was clean and cozy and I want to add how appreciative I am that the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need (other hosts take note). She thought of it all. Will definitely be back :)

Very clean and reling! We didn't get to use the hot tub as it was too hot for the weather and didn't get to use thvie theater due to weather also. Maybe better in the fall!

Loved this spot. Clean, decorated nicely, has all fhe amenities you could ask for! My 2 poodles and i enjoyed our stay! The bed is comfy, the hot tub was super-clean and perfecr temp, the house is close to town, and we only wish it was cool enough to enjoy the firepit! My only recommendation -- something to hang our towels/bathrobe while in the hot tub. Other than that, the place was exactly what we needed!
