Everything was perfect, we dont have any suggestions. We went out on our Paddleboard and had an Experience of a lifetime. We saw 8 Bald eagles and one got within 6 feet over our head, As a Native American this was surreal. Thank you so much.

Felt right at home. We've been coming to Ottertail lake every summer as a family get together and this was one of my favorite summers in a long time due to the little red cabin. The kids played in the lake everyday, or fished off the river dock, my dad caught the biggest fish of his life, and we all hung out on the beautiful deck from sunrise to sunset. This was an excellent place to visit with family and enjoy the lake view. It was well stocked, comfortable, and spacious. We hope to return.

Rick's little red cabin was PERFECT for us. It was clean and very comfortable. We loved our family get away time. And the view of the lake from the deck (as well as the river from the other side) were amazing for relaxing with a beverage. ;-) Communication was amazing too! My wife and I picked this place as it had a boat lift advertised on the riverside. I got my boat stuck coming into the channel cause the water was so shallow. Finally got it out. The boat lift was so shallow there is no way any boat is going on there. Also, it would have been nice to know that there is no turn around area at the cabin. First day I pulled my boat up through a very narrow driveway. Very difficult to get the boat and trailer in and out of that property.

Gorgeous location right on the lake. Very comfortable cabin - a nice lived-in feel. The property is a little tired torn screens, inconsistent plumbing (mostly a water pressure problem in the bathrooms but a couple of fixtures that didn't really work).

Felt very at home with a phenomenal view. Great fishing! Extremely relaxing place to be. Quick response to any questions or concerns. Great host! [🥰 Thanks Evy! When I had questions he responded in a timely manner. The cabin was clean and quaint. The kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed for preparing meals and saving leftovers. The river was fun to fish. The kids even caught and released a painted turtle. The deck furniture was comfortable and plentiful. His recommendation on where we could rent a pontoon was great! The cabin is cozy and everything you would need is there for cooking etc including a blender. They have books, puzzles, couple of kayaks and life jackets in the deck box to use for safety. My only issue was the water was to low to use the boat ramp at the time I stayed. Great view on the deck, plenty of comfortable chairs and nice fire pit on the beach.

The little red cabin was perfect, very clean, cozy, amazing views, and Very well stocked. Owners were very responsive and helpful. It was a great weekend. [😁 Wonderful! We especially enjoyed the beautiful deck overlooking the lake! Because we brought our small boat with us, we chose this property as it has docks on both the lake and the river. The communication and service was the best we have ever had with a VRBO rental. Check in and check out was simple. The inside of cabin was immaculate. Plenty of room for a large family with a lovely indoor porch area separate which would be great if you had kids or teens along. We used that space as a reading room and opened the windows to enjoy lake breezes. I will rent this property again!

The pictures do not give The Little Red Cabin justice. It is very cozy and plenty of room for all of us. The VIEW and LOCATION is perfect. Being located between the lake and the river is amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the deck relaxing and enjoying the view of Ottertail Lake. Plenty of restaurants and shopping located close by. The cabin is clean and stocked very well from kitchen utensils to games and puzzles. Rick and Terry are very accommodating and friendly. We highly recommend The Little Red Cabin.

My partner and I visited my son from Detroit Lakes, MN. We enjoyed greatly out stay and visit and had pretty fair luck fishing. Best of all, we met Terry Elkins while attempting to dock the boat in the river, and he helped us find safe, out-of-the-way place for the boat trailer. He also loaned us 2 boat bumpers for the 4 days we were there. Terry was a great and friendly help to us. We do have some recommendations for rental improvements: 1.refridge froze all the vegetables the first night and we had to replace them. 2. the mattresses need to be replaced as they are all saggy and uneven. 3. the coffee pot is broken and leaks water and grounds and should be replaced. 4. care should be taken to make certain customers know that there is only limited parking, and absolutely no trailer parking. It would be greatly helpful to have a definite spot to park, especially for the trailers. The river is outstanding and care should be taken to ensure that customers are aware of the potential fun involved in floating the river. The entry point for floating the river should be cleaned up and made safer for smaller customers. All is all, a great stay! Thank you!

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your family's cabin for much of July. We had to be in the area for a family medical issue, and the cabin was the perfect place to be able to be relatively close, but get away for some rest and reset from it all. It meant so much to us. Thank you for everything! And... your father in law was extremely nice and helpful too!

My family absolutely loved our time in the Little Red Cabin on Ottertail. It felt like home, and we were very comfortable. It was clean and well-supplied. Perfect for us. We hope to come back next year!
