Only 500 feet from Higgins Lake

Last minute we decided to get away. We were able to book this for the weekend without any trouble. We brought our two goldens with us and had a great time. Higgins Lake is a special place I had not heard of before our stay. We fell in love and will be back. The lake house was very clean and equipped with everything you might need. I highly suggest taking a long walk around the neighborhood and down to the lake. It is beautiful! Overall, I would stay here again, and I would recommend this place to a friend.

The cottage is amazing. So cozy and welcoming! The location is perfect. A walk up the street to the lake. The host is so sweet and is available for any questions or concerns. Very clean cottage, well stocked with everything you will need. We will definitely be back!

The property was exactly as described in the listing. Check in and check out policies were really clear and easy to follow, and the cabin itself is super cute! All the benefits of a rustic woodsy getaway with some thoughtful creature comforts like great internet and streaming available. The host, Melanie, is a great communicator and had some excellent recommendations for local attractions!

We were disappointed that there would be no place to anchor our boat overnight so we would spend way too much time and aggravation launching it every morning and putting it back on the trailer from 10 pm to 8 am the next day. Too much work, and lots of time waiting at the boat launch. This property IS NOT waterfront as in the vrbo listing. It is Lake Access daytime, but never is LAKEFRONT, or the boat could be anchored off the property overnight.

Cozy, quiet, clean, wonderful host!

Wonderful cottage, cozy, had everything we needed for an awesome stay. Quiet block, walk to the lake/dock. Location is fantastic, a quick drive to Houghton Lake where there's lots of restaurants, stores, all you need. We will definitely be back!

Cabin was very clean and decorated nicely. Had all the amenities anyone could ask for. Host was very responsive to all calls and texts.

The cabin was great for us, my husband and teen daughter and our two dogs. The layout of the cabin was fantastic and the outdoor space was magical!!! We walked down the street to the dock and enjoyed the view in the evening. It is great for swimming. The cabin was easy to find and close to a market for supplies. The neighbors were very friendly. We enjoyed cooking out and a fire in the evenings. We can't wait to visit again.

Definitely cute comfortable and clean and well equipped, except for paper towels;) no biggie! Perfect for 2-5 people. Very close to waterfront or dock within sight distance however i wished it a bit closer but all and all no real complaints only compliments. Great and cery attentive host! I would for sure visit lady slipper house again!

Nice cabin with a quiet road end area. Neighbors were nice. Needs a larger refrigerator! I was there for ten days while I worked and found it to be quite pleasant!

Cabin was cute and well equipped. Walk to water was short and access was perfect for our paddle boards. We enjoyed our evening at the backyard fire pit and played games at the picnic table under the string lights.

Our stay at the Lady Slipper Lakehouse was amazing. The house was located only a short distance down a peaceful road to the lake. It was nice to walk past the other cottages as we approached the fresh morning beauty of the lake. The house itself had everything we could need with all kitchen and home amenities. Our young girls loved sharing the spacious room with two separate beds in it. The property was perfect including a nice backyard firepit area complete with a bundle of wood on the house. We were so happy to bring our dog to enjoy the vacation with us and are grateful for that. Exploring the area led us to South and North Higgins State Park which had great beaches for us and the dog to enjoy. We also visited the model train museum, the Roscommon Zoo and the Gahagan Nature Preserve. All in all an amazing trip, thank you Melanie and Matt for letting us stay at your home.

Very cute and cozy, had everything we needed. It was a short walk to the dock. The boat launch was a short drive and very organized.
