One Oar Missing on Little River w/double fireplaces

My family and I had a wonderful time at One Oar Missing. Our stay was so nice and peaceful. The house had everything we needed and more. It is so nice anytime we can bring out fur babies with us. We will def be back in the future. I highly recommend using Delightful Retreats.

Had everything we needed for cooking. Great view. Very relaxing and quiet. Enjoyed a meal at the hatter cafe. Very responsive host.

Excellent Water access

We took a weekend to get away for an anniversary. The stay at One Oar Missing was terrific and very relaxing. While we did take a little time to stroll through some of the little shops in Mentone, we spent most of the time relaxing in the sunroom or down by the water on the floating dock. The area is quiet and allows you to disconnect and just enjoy nature for a while! We will definitely be returning in the future.

The house could not have been better for my family. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed making our meals in it. The rooms were more than adequate for us, allowing for everyone to have space. The recliner couch in the den is outstanding! The back decks were great and the pier was enjoyed by all. The house could not have been more welcoming. Holly was a first rate host throughout. We do hope to visit One Oar Missing again.

We found One Oar Missing to be quite comfortable and perfect for a microvacation for this couple and a long-time friend. As titled, One Oar is exactly as described and pictured - very comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the screened in porch to just relax, read and visit; the porch and indoor furniture were clean and comfortable. The split plan with master King on one side and two Queens with jack-jill bath gave plenty of privacy for us. The kitchen was well-equipped but do read the provided 'suggest you bring' info as there is only a convenience store nearby. While the breakfast bar was fine for meals, we would suggest a four-top table as the stools are not comfortable for everyone. Plus, there's not really a good place to play cards/dice games, etc. Easy direct rental process and communications leading up to and through our stay were very good.

Nice, large house with great room and extra-large screened in porch. There is a boardwalk down to the water where there is a nice dock. We spent a lot of time on the dock and on the screened in porch. We also cooked out and ate outside. Highly recommend.

We had a great time with our stay there. We will definitely be back.

One Oar Missing was the perfect place on the lake! I had friends and family come up to visit and stay at the cabin. I did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed, even the correct measuring cups. The porch was a true bonus!

This was my wife & I’s 2nd year in a row staying at this cabin for our anniversary. With it being only 30 minutes away, it’s the ideal place for us to fish and be on the water with our doggo. Kayaks and paddles were easily accessible and the screened in back porch was nice to enjoy the outside while it rained. Also, huge thanks to the host for making our trip experience extra special by accommodating me with a bottle of champagne & a dozen roses for my wife! DirectTV was fine for us, we brought Ipads and were able to use the wifi to stream netflix & youtube (blurry, but still watchable) Overall, amazing cabin. Will be returning!

Great use of space in this home. Marvelous kitchen, great for food prepping. Fishing was good. Dream screened porch with fireplace. Could use some decor updating, and more televisions.

We had a nice time at One Oar Missing. The cabin was clean and stocked nicely. The beds were very comfortable as was the cabin. It was a nice weekend retreat.

This was the perfect location to get away and relax. From the fireplace and roasting marshmellows to feeding the ducks on the lake. We really enjoyed it here and plan to book again.

Clean and very well supplied with everything needed for a quiet weekend stay. While I realized the house did not have a dining table, I thought the large bar area would work for us. We did not find the bar suitable for sitting to eat or playing games.

We had a wonderful time around the fire spending time with each other. The area was peaceful and a great retreat. Lots of space and amenities! This is a great cabin for family and dogs! The host was friendly and helpful! The coffee is always the best touch! Thank you for having us!!

My family of 4 very much enjoy this property. Exactly as advertised. Very clean which we loved. The cabin is big, with enough space to enjoy a good book, the fireplaces and just a quiet vacation. Somehow close to local adventures and the river was beautiful. Thank You! We will come back!

We enjoyed our stay at One Oar Missing. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We sat out on the screened porch every night and visited. We cooked two meals in the kitchen and ate out one night at The Wildflower Cafe. Beds were comfortable, but the king bed in the master is really tall - about chest height on me, and I wished for a step stool. But I managed. Our only disappointment was that the water levels were so low due to the drought conditions this summer that we couldn't really enjoy the dock or swimming because it was so muddy and yucky. We did visit Little River Canyon and DeSoto Falls, both of which were just a trickle, but still lots of fun.

We absolutely loved the area, plenty of things to do and see. The home was really conveniently located to everything. Beds were very comfy, great water pressure, we were able to catch a few fish, even though the water was low. We enjoyed the house, but could use an additional television. The yellow heart pine in the main living area was beautiful. Massive fire places. We would definitely recommend this property.
