On a 3200 acre lake with 400 ft of frontage. Great fishing kayaking boating fun

Place was unique and cozy. Owners were kind enough to have the lights on as we arrived at night and couldn't see. They left us a bottle off wine and chocolates and came to check to see if we needed anything the next day. Great people I could see us being friends with. Beautiful property will definitely stay there again.

We liked everything about the property

Great amenities, even some of the amenities weren't listed in the listing. Very accommodating hosts with nice touches and gifts for staying at this property. This was the nicest cabin that I've stayed in. A plus is having access to canoe, kayaks, SUP, sauna, and hot tub.

A great cabin for a couple or small family. Clean, cozy and well-equipped. We were there in the winter so we didn't take advantage of being on the edge of the lake (other than the view) but it was great to hang out in with the fireplace going. We would definitely return in either the summer or winter.

Cozy cabin on the lake. Loved the wood burning fireplace as well as the wood burning outside sauna. Good communication with host.Great place for a quiet getaway.

This is an awesome place. I looked at dozens of cabins and this jumped off the page.I went up solo and this is definitely a romantic or small family place. I did some hiking and property scouting. Great location. Everything is maintained top notch. Absolutely fantastic place.

The cabin was pleasant and the kitchen was well appointed. We did not enjoy the owner, who lived on the property, entering the cabin when we didn’t respond to her knocking (she was giving us fresh produce that could have been left on the outside table). There were spider webs all over the doorway and deck. The front room smelled so strongly of mold that we had to keep that door shut. The canoe was broken and full of debris. The paddle boat was also full of debris. The last night we watched a mouse crawl out of the fireplace and into the woodwork. When we informed the owner that we were leaving, she stated the glue traps should have caught the mice! We saw no traps. I requested a refund on that last night as we left immediately but she never responded. We’ll not return.

Very beautiful cabin! Loved the vibe of the compound with the different cabins and buildings. It was so cozy and we had everything we needed for a little weekend getaway. Loved the use of the different boats!

We love Fogarty’s Compound! Beautiful cabin, beautiful grounds and Garden Lake. Carol and Jim are the best. We look forward to going back again next summer.

Cozy cabin on a beautiful, peaceful, well maintained property. Easy check-in & out. Great fishing dock, clean lake for kayaking and swimming! Lots to do in the Cable/Hayward area. A great place to recharge with family.

Great location! The property is beautiful! The lake is right in front of you! This was my second time staying there, kitchen and bedrooms are a little small, when you have five girlfriends in one cabin. But the living space was perfect for all of us. We had everything we needed. Carol and Jim were wonderful! They were always there if we needed anything! We’ll definitely be back again! Thank you, Carol and Jim for making our girls trip perfect!

The Fogerty cabins are so cute and Jim and Carol were both very nice. The cabin had all the amenities needed, and if you're not sure, message the hosts and theyll get back to you promptly. Very quiet location and a great cabin for getting together with friends.

Everything about this stay was great! The cabin was clean & very cute, the location on Garden Lake was perfect, and the hosts were so nice & accommodating! Also appreciated the bonus amenities (e.g. fire pit, boat rental option, sauna, etc.) We would absolutely come back!! Thanks Jim & Carol!

EXCELLENT AND RELAXING

Great location!

Nice property on garden lake.Close to Forest Ridges golf course and several nice restaurants and bars. It was cool in the evenings so we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and wood stove.

First night we got there they had all the lights on for us and the fireplace going! Welcomed us with a wine basket and chocolates! Very clean and great location! We will definitely book a trip with them again!

sunk waay down in the couch in the living area.For older folks hard to get out of. Mustiness of sun porch should be addressed. Sauna and lake setting is great!

We stayed at Jim and Carols cabin for a full week, which gave us an opportunity to get to know the area as well as the amenities the property offered. As soon as you arrive, you can see the little touches that reflect the properties hand crafted artisan flair! This is a one of a kind cabin and pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a beautifully built home with so many interesting features throughout. The property sits right on the shore of garden lake. We enjoyed having coffee on the dock and watching the sunrise and occasional loon. We went fishing daily. Which was great for pan fish. I lost track of counting how many we caught! The evening was great for using the grill to cook up our dinner on the deck. There is a wood fired sauna that Jim surprised us by getting it started for us. I absolutely recommend enjoying the sauna followed by a dip in the lake to cool off. This was a highlight! We brought our own little fishing boat, but had motor issues on the last day. Jim was kind enough to offer his boat, even though we hadn’t reserved it for the day. Carol let us tour the two other little cabins on the property while they were vacant. They were also beautifully built and decorated! I am already talking with our family to have others join us for another trip next summer! This really is a wonderful property, with great hosts! We can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay! Being on the lake was great. They let us dock two boats on the property so we could walk out of the cabin and into our boats to go fishing. there was also an electrical out by the dock to recharge trolling motors. Carol and Jim were available onsite when we had questions. The cabin was clean and well-equipped. I also took a great kayak trip with no rental charge for them. We would stay here again!
