Stayed Sep 6, 2024Had a wonderful stay. Small but well designed. It feels like you are tucked away in the trees. Place was clean and well maintained with thoughtful touches. Listening to Johnny Cash on vinyl while cooking dinner was awesome. Hot tub was clean and a treat after spending the days on the trails. Location is a wonderful. The cabin is in a small quiet community outside of town. Plenty of privacy and pleasant natural forest landscaping. Skate Park is near and wonderful if you are traveling with a dog for a walk along Skate Creek to the Cowlitz. Magical little spot. Thank you for sharing

Stayed May 20, 2026MICE INVESTED OHANA CABIN.EXPOSED WIRES DRYFOODINCLEANPANS FECES ALL OVERMICEON FURNITURE.Pulled up to our first VRBO — the Ohana Cabin. Rustic doesn’t even begin to describe it. This place looked like it had survived every storm since 1942 and politely declined modern upgrades ever since.used to be a forest preserve cabin years ago, mixed with “did that floorboard just whisper at me?” energy. But honestly? It was beautiful in its own weird little way. Tucked into the trees, quiet, cozy, and exactly the kind of place where memories happen. The kids were excited, we were exhausted, and after the chaos getting there, just standing in the mountain air felt like a reset button for the soul. At that point, nobody even cared about unpacking properly. Bags got tossed wherever We decided to run into town to Blanton’s Market to grab something quick to grill for dinner. When we got back, my husband started preparing the food when suddenly a mouse ran directly across his foot at that point, I immediately called VRBO. There had already been a few things the husband & I had quietly noticed earlier, the horrendous musty smell that slapped us silly...no grilling itensils, a dead bug on top of the bedding upstairs.. but we didn’t want to mention them in front of our girls and ruin the trip.... after we dealt with the numerous mice i told the ladies the other things that were not okay....Dead bugs, rat feces, hair on the shower wall.. these are things we should have never completely unsanitary

Stayed Dec 31, 2025This cabin is rustic, which we loved. It had a good kitchen with basic essentials. The hot tub was wonderful. Check the water temp when you get there though. Our first night we couldn't use it because the water was scalding hot. We turned the temp down and enjoyed it the second night. If you are looking for a comfy cabin to lounge in, this probably isn't it. The seating inside isnt for old folks wanting to put their feet up. But we made do! It's so very cute and we would definitely stay again. My only suggestion was updating to new sheets and bedding. The bedding was older and had stains especially in the camper bed. Otherwise, our stay was perfect.

Stayed Nov 13, 2025Great hot tub, great location and a comfy cabin. Record player didn't work because the power cable had a hole in it and one of the rope seats pictured was not present. Otherwise perfect.

Stayed Jul 27, 2025This is a cute and clean place to stay. We stayed with our dog and two teenage kids and the layout of the cabin plus camper was user friendly and spacious enough. Loved the record player and hearing the elk at night. We did a bit of cooking and found the kitchen was sufficiently outfitted. There were nice places to hang out inside and out, and the hot tub was also really good. Also loved the hammock down the path in back.

Stayed Apr 18, 2025The only down side would be the lack of description on very steep - narrow stairs up to the bed- I had a knee surgery last year and my husband is 6’4 so it was interesting… other than that we loved the property.

Stayed Dec 7, 2024Really enjoyed my stay here. I especially loved the fireplace, which kept the entire cabin warm and cozy in 30-40 degree weather and provided excellent ambiance. I only wish there were drapes—as a woman traveling alone it would’ve made me feel safer to know no one can look in. It’s fairly tucked away despite close proximity to other cabins though, and I didn’t have any troubles while I was there. Overall I would recommend this spot to small groups or solo travelers looking for a quiet getaway.

Stayed Sep 21, 2024My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin while hiking Mt. Rainier. It was as described. The pros: good location, had most everything we needed, quiet, The ability to cook breakfast and make lunches was a plus because there are few dining choices in Packwood. Cons: housekeeping needs to step up their game. I personally did more cleaning there than I would have liked to.
