Stayed Mar 26, 2021Pros- checking in was easy, close to village, back yard, TV in living room, heater works great, parking and hot tub. Cons- fridge did not cool down until we were leaving and even then it wasn’t very cold (called and someone was sent and told to give it more time), underneath beds and behind night stand there were wrappers and other items left by previous guest, shower curtain too short and shower head sprays everywhere resulting in large amounts of water pooling outside of tub. Overall it wasn’t horrible but I would not stay in this particular property again.

Stayed Jan 31, 2021House was nice the issue was the hot tub. Was unable to use it do to high chlorine levels. Made my eyes burn & irritated my skin. There was no point of renting this property if it's for the hot tub.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really loved this little cabin. The location is great and we loved the jacuzzi. Being able to walk into town is wonderful. The only negative was the dust- the blinds were covered in dust which I'm allergic too so it was hard to sleep. Other than that, it was very clean. The check in was a little confusing, no one reached out to us until 5 or 6pm on our check in day and then the next day someone from Destination Big Bear knocked on the door and said they thought the cabin was vacant. I showed them my booking and they were really nice about it. All in all I'd definitely stay there again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property is a bit old and small. The deck and yard were a nice size. However, please check the chlorine levels in the hot tub before getting in. We didn't it our eyes starting burning and tearing, we were coughing for a while and our skin was burning! They sent out the pool person and he confirmed that the levels were through the roof. We lost the hot tub use all our first day! We were not happy! Then the cabin only came with half a roll of toilet paper. They told us to go buy some! We had an OK time, but will not be booking this cabin again. Thanks.

Stayed Dec 26, 2018We’ve stayed at several cabins in So Cal, and have had some really great experiences and some not so great. I would give this cabin a solid B. The location is great, walkable to downtown, and the fenced in backyard was awesome, especially so the kids could play in the snow. The hot tub was lovely to have as well. The rental company was extremely easy to work with, and we received our damage deposit promptly. Very professional. So, those are the pros. The feel of the place is rustic. Everything is dated and not really that nice to be honest. It does the trick, but it just felt a little tired. The pots and pans were just really old, nothing you could cook a nice meal in. There was an odor that they tried to take care of but I recommend a carpet cleaning be done. There was everything you need, but for the price of the cabin (over 400/night when we stayed 12/26-12/28), it’d feel better to have some basic upgrades. Overall though, we had a good time as a family and are really happy we found this place on such short notice.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Arrived around 5ish so it was dark. Tried to enter the code to the lock box for the key. It wasnt working for anything. Called the desk. They sent a maintenance guy, very nice guy. Turns out theres two lock boxes. They need to specify which to use, because we didn't even see the other one. Get into the place. It's cute enough. A little older but we were only here for a few days so it worked. Went to the bathroom. All the towels were damp. Called the office again, 'hey we have damp towels.' Their response, 'ok we'll try to get you some, but you have to understand how busy we are.' How busy you are and not having enough people to bring us towels doesn't seem like my problem. We never got towels. We hung them on a chair in front of the heater to have dry ones to shower with. The backyard was awesome for my doggo to play in. However, they didn't shovel the stairs all the way and it was kind of dangerous for me to walk down and clean up after my doggo. Please shovel all the snow because it turns into ice during these warmer winter months. It is close to the village which was great. And I was really thankful that its pet friendly. I suggest you spend a little extra to get something remodeled and will give you dry towels and stairs that are shoveled and salted.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a wonderful time here. Good location. Loved the back porch. We spent a lot of time out there. The only negative was that the hot tub was loud when it was heating up.

Stayed Aug 6, 2017We had everything we needed for a great vacation in Big Bear. The cabin is close to the lake AND the bike trails. And the walk to the village is easy, for a nice dinner or a beer, too.
