Newly Built Trailside Chalet in The Brook - direct access to CAMBA/Birkie Trails

The chalet was perfect! Clean and cozy. Especially liked all the house dimmers and low lighting that were on when we arrived. Made it super inviting and pretty. Very close to downtown Hartford. Outside of the chalet was also great. Private and very pretty.

The cabin is truly a gem - every thoughtful detail for comfort and decor is not only beautiful to look at but very cozy and livable. The setting is storybook level - complete with fireflies during campfires and fawns frolicking outside during morning coffee. Jennifer is a stellar host and the location is perfect for outdoor adventures and visiting the Hayward and Cable areas - we will be back!

We would stay here again, no question.

This chalet is absolutely perfect -- clean, picturesque, only 10 minutes from town, and great for remote work (i.e. reliable WiFi).

This cabin provides a perfect retreat in the woods. The decor gives the place a rustic but cozy feel. Very clean. Beautiful fireplace, comfy beds. Everything we needed was there. The host was exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a fun and comfortable stay.

The lodging here was perfect. The kitchen was properly stocked and had sharp knives! The decor was lovely and comfortable. The ski in/out trails were great. Jennifer was easy to reach and fast to respond! Will come back!

We like the location near Mosquito Brook. Obviously, a new build that is cozy on a beautiful piece of property. I was glad the owner met us and explained the different heating systems. We loved hanging around the gas fireplace.

5 stars! This cabin is a Hayward gem. The highlight for us was the direct trail access; we could be on the Nordic ski and hiking trails in seconds. Beyond the great location, the cabin itself was exceptionally clean and very comfortable.Jennifer was a fantastic host and made communication incredibly easy. It was reassuring to know she lives nearby if we had needed anything. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing Nordic retreat—we can’t wait to come back!

What an amazing property! Our week long stay could not have been any better. The chalet is absolutely stunning. The decor, the layout, the comfortable furniture and beds .. it was all perfect. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and took daily walks along the paths that are just steps away from the front porch. Jennifer is an amazing host. We can’t wait to visit again!

Jennifer is an amazing host and The Chalet is an absolute perfect property! The warm cozy atmosphere, ski from the front deck (bike or walk the same trails in the summer), relax with a coffee or glass of wine and realize life doesn’t get much better than this. Secluded and quiet, yet less than 10 minutes to town for plenty of restaurants and shops. Definitely a 5 Star spotless property!

Quiet and private cabin. Tight space between the trees with anything over a 16 ft trailer. Easily accessible UTV trails near by. The backyard has a ton of walking trails you can follow. The hosts offer a box of wood for a decent price. Very cleanly cabin.

Super clean and private property. Everything you would need in the kitchen except for food is available. Bring extra chargers as no charging stations just standard plugs. Aveda products in the bathroom was a nice touch. Would stay here again!

Jennifer is a fantastic host. Everything was clean and the lights were on when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed cooking a wonderful meal after visiting the farmers market and local butcher shop for some fresh produce and steaks. The trails out front are fantastic for a bike ride or evening walk. Definitely will be back

Wonderful place to stay with one exception. The property has air-conditioning it is true, however, if you want the cool air to get into the bedrooms you need to leave the door open. The air conditioner located in the loft is a minisplit so cold air comes from one source and then spreads from there. The bedrooms get very stuffy if you shut the door. If an open bedroom door while you sleep is is not a problem then this is the perfect rental. Kitchen is well stocked. Very clean. Good Wifi. Beautiful well maintained yard. Bathroom shower head is a little wonky - does not have amazing pressure but it gets the job done. Highly recommend this place.

This our third year in a row staying at this amazing cabin. The place is always spotless, well stocked and cozy. Jennifer is so easy to communicate with and is always accommodating. The location is close to town and to other spots in the Hayward area. Highly recommend!

We stayed here a couple of years ago and we are happy to see the cabin still met our needs! We stayed for two nights and it was hot, hot, hot. We were grateful for the Air Conditioning. We enjoyed sitting outside and being in nature. Thank you!

We had a great week staying at the chalet. Everything you could ask for, super clean and comfortable, set in a quiet location yet just less than 10 minutes from town. We walked the trail right from the front door and relaxed on a cool evening with the wood stove taking the chill out. Definitely can’t wait to get back.

Had a great visit at the Nordic Pines Chalet! Such a welcoming place, soft lighting, cozy fire, nestled in the woods but less than 10 minutes to town. Bike trail just off the deck and a wonderful peaceful view. I worked for a few hours, no problem connecting with the fiber internet service. Will definitely be back!

Had a fantastic stay at the Nordic Pines cabin! Everything was perfect from the well lit porch as I arrived in the evening to the warm fire that was lit for my arrival. It just felt like home as soon as I walked in the door. Everything was just as described or even better. Jennifer is a fantastic host who knows how to offer helpful suggestions but also give you the privacy you have come to experience. With a great ski and ski out location and less than 10 minutes to town you couldn’t ask for anything else. Will definitely be back.

The cabin is really cute and super clean. Bed was comfortable and although we didn’t cook, the kitchen seemed to have everything you would need. It was cold when we were there so having the fireplace was nice. Jennifer was easy to work with and very responsive. Would love to stay again.

Comfortable cabin in the woods of Hayward. XC skiing trails available out the front door that meander through wooded trails connecting to the Birkie trail. Quiet and relaxing cabin with well furnished kitchen and fireplace. Jennifer was very accommodating and an exceptional communicator. We loved our stay here and would not hesitate to stay here again!

We had the most amazing time at our stay in the Northwoods at this gorgeous and charming chalet! It’s perfectly located near Hayward, Cable and the Birkie trails! The cabin is beautifully decorated, super clean, warm and cozy in the winter weather. It’s snuggled in the tall pines with lots of privacy, wildlife and wooded ski trails. Jennifer was an amazing host and so helpful and kind! We can’t wait to stay again!

We hiked snow shoe trails with beautiful snow and trails at North End trails in Cable and Rock Lake Trail near Lakewoods.There is direct access from cabin to ski a section of Birkie trail. Needs more snow tho!Quiet cabin in woods and nice meeting gracious host Jennifer.

We stayed here on a bitterly cold weekend in January, and this cozy cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway for my family of four. Despite the cold, we enjoyed skiing on the neighborhood trails just out the cabin door. We warmed up quickly in front of the gas stove afterwards. Will definitely keep this cabin on our list of places to go back to.

This is a great house in a private, quiet location. The house was exceptionally clean and exactly as listed. We slept in the king bed and found the bed and bedding to be very comfortable which is super important to me when traveling. Hiking,biking and nordic skiing trails are right out your door. If you are looking for a getaway that feels remote but has the convenience of being close to downtown Hayward this is your place. We plan to go back when there is more snow!

This was a perfect getaway. Near Hayward if you need anything, but still tucked away and secluded with access to trails. Very comfortable and clean.

This property had everything that I was looking for out of a cabin in the woods experience. Everything was very clean and well kept and I really appreciated Jennifers enthusiasm in answering all of my questions!
