The local grocery store is about 2 miles from the cabin. They will have everything you need:). There is also a local Walmart. It is not a super Walmart but carries the necessities. A Dollar Tree is located next to the Walmart for smaller needs.
Good location for hiking. Well appointed cabin. Thematic interior.
The property was great. Close to both Steelville and Cuba but very quiet and peaceful locale. My family did an early Thankgiving for my grandmother who can no longer host herself. The kitchen had everything one would need, the charcoal grill was great, and the rooms were perfect for the family. The host was responsive and accomodating. We will definitely stay here again.
The cabin was perfect we will definitely go back! The road sign was damaged and it took a few minutes to find.
We just loved it! The kitchen had all the amenities we needed to cook for 11 all weekend. Everything worked, was easy to find. The decor is so cute and has such a comfortable relaxing vibe. We all loved the sinks!! They were different and just gorgeous. Almost like art pieces. The host was so friendly and easy to work with. There was a lot of back and forth as the guest list settled and she worked with me every step of the way. Terrific weekend!! Would go again in a heartbeat.
Log cabin atmosphere, back on a long gravel road, bring firewood for a camp fire
Everything was great at this cabin best cabin i have stayed at in the area
We loved staying at the cabin! It comfortably fit 10 of us, and it never felt cramped. The float company we used picked us up in a bus, and dropped us off at the front door. The owners answered quickly when we had any issues. 10/10 would stay again.
Very clean, and it was everything we needed to have a great relaxing stay.
This was just the best family trip ever! The cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed. We saw so much wild life. Caroline gave amazing suggestions for where to play and float. We asked the grands if they wanted to come back. A solid yes!
Very clean cabin close to all the fun! Owner very responsive
Cabin was very clean, and well stocked with all things to make your stay enjoyable. Easy to get to, plenty of parking, and the property owner is very responsive and helpful! Most things to do, state parks, fishing etc were just a short drive away.
Good
This is a beautiful property with comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. The patio seating, grill, and fire pit were our favorites. There are beds for 11 and inflatable mattresses for many more. The host is great and had good recommendations for our float trip.
Caroline is everything you want in a VRBO host. She is incredibly responsive and clearly cares about her guests experience. We were greeted by flowers and a bottle of wine upon our arrival. The house is brand new and in great condition. It is secluded enough to feel like you are getting away but a short drive to the grocery store and very close to the Cuba golf course. My family came in from Nashville for a memorial and a family float trip. We wanted some thing more low-key than what the rafting “resorts” offered. This house was perfect. The bunk room was wonderful for our four kids. They loved the arcade. We had s’mores one night around the fireplace and really enjoyed our time. Another thing to note is that the house is incredibly well stocked. Caroline has thought of every detail including extra camper chairs, cornhole, marshmallow roasting sticks, and all the necessities you would want in a kitchen. Aside from the float trip which was a lot of fun, we also took a day trip over to Meramec Caverns. It was a really fun tour and I would highly recommend it for kids.
