FAQ:
- When is trash picked up
Trash Collection happens on Tuesdays after 6:00am.
*Trash policy- Guest(s) will bag and properly dispose of all their trash including recycling items.
All trash/recycling items must be bagged in appropriate (13-gallon bags or larger) trash bags and placed in proper outdoor locations prior to departure. The local trash company will not haul away loose left items, small bags, pet bags, or grocery bags.
Failure to properly bag (kitchen size bags or larger only) and/or remove all garbage/recyclables from the cabin will result in additional charges not less than $200.00 for bagging and additional haul off.
The trash bin is located at the end of the driveway. Trash bin must have lid shut and secured after each use to ensure animal damage/destruction doesn’t occur.

Our septic systems are fragile and items such as feminine products, paper towels, excess toilet paper, or anything else that does not belong in a toilet can cause a backup in the system. Do not put anything in the toilet except for normal use of toilet paper.

We were extremely comfortable in this beautiful cabin. We hosted a dinner one night for some friends from Ohio and Virginia. We flew in from Texas. Kids had a great time playing pool, adults had a relaxing time on the patio. The kitchen is very well stocked. My kids loved the cat café in town, and the naked olive was fun. We hiked at the Cacapon park. Although the overlook point was closed for cars, we ended up hiking it (6miles!). We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub with our tired muscles afterwards.
This home is very nice. We did have some issues, the hot tub we had to fill up with water every time we wanted to use it. The fire pit we had to have someone hold the start button so it would stay on, so it wasn't worth dealing with. The upstairs bed was very uncomfortable. It is a very nice home just needs some TLC for certain things it was disappointing for the amount of money spent that major things didn't work properly.
Me and my family stayed at Base Camp for the weekend so that we could attend a friend's wedding. Base Camp is an absolutely gorgeous home. Whoever designed this home has impeccable taste. We enjoyed hanging out at the hot tub and used it several times during our stay. Also, the sleeping accommodations were wonderful. The beds couldn't have been more comfortable. There isn't a thing that we would change about this home. We hope to be able to visit again in the future with our family. Thanks again!!
We had a great stay for our girl's weekend with plenty of space for all 5 of us to spread out and feel comfortable. The hot tub was nice but a little cloudy. We were able to cook in for the majority of our meals. One suggestion is to get a larger coffee pot! We had to run the small one three times to get enough coffee just for 4 of the coffee drinkers. Beds are comfy. Plenty or indoor and outdoor space to fellowship with others. Highly recommend.
We had a great stay! Base camp was beautiful. Only problem we had was the fire pit didn’t work. We will return though!
The cabin was even better than the pictures! We had a group of 10 ladies staying for 2 nights and didn’t feel cramped at all. We made a big breakfast, set up buffet style on the kitchen island and had room for everyone at the table. The hot tub was a hit but the screened in porch was my favorite. Perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. The view was beautiful and peaceful. The VHS collection in the basement was full of great classics. All of the beds were very comfortable even the pull out sofa! We had a wonderful stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed Our stay at Base Camp. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would love to return.
Beautiful house lots of room!
We loved your place. Plenty of room for all 5 of us to spread out and enjoy our long weekend. The house is very comfortable with plenty of living space on all three floors. The outdoor space was very nice with the hot tub and we enjoyed as much as we could with the rain. We had fun watching a couple of VHS movies in the basement! Few suggestions: -We sent a message to learn how to turn on the ceiling fan in the living room but we never heard back from anyone. -The power went out for 24 hours and we were never contacted. It would be nice to have some communications while these natural events happen. The fridge leaks terribly from the ice maker when the power is out. We took care of keeping the water off the floor. -We never figured out the thermostat. It would be nice to have easily accessible directions on how to operate. We had a great weekend! Your place is lovely.
The house is beautiful and full of all the misc items you wouldn't normally find at a rental. Having the linens and towels already in the home was such an added bonus, but there were so many other things like picnic/dinner ware, utensils, pots, pans, bowls, cutting boards, knives, etc. The list goes on and on. It is a very clean home and the beds are SO comfortable! We will definitely keep this property in mind when renting in the future.
