Stayed Nov 27, 2025This was our first trip to Newland, NC, but it definitely won’t be our last. This rental exceeded all of our expectations. It had so much space, far more appliances, entertainment options/games than we imagined. Papa’s Place was beautifully decorated and incredibly cozy.

Stayed Oct 16, 2025Everything was perfect! Beautiful view, easy access, very clean, lovely and comfortable furnishings, easy access to wineries and the Old Hampton Store for an evening of music under the trees . . . we enjoyed it all and wish we had stayed longer. Thanks for a beautiful fall visit!

Stayed Jul 22, 20252nd time we have stayed here. Very clean, great location, has every amenity you need. Would love if it had comfy deck furniture to sit out on upper deck. Otherwise, it’s perfect

Stayed May 18, 2025two couples stayed here for a golf vacation. We have friends who own a place not too far away. We loved this property. It had two separate living areas which made it ideal for us. The porch overlooks the first tee of Linville Land Harbor Golf course. It was fun to sit out there and watch people play through. There is a nice firepit also overlooking the green that we didn't get to use because of the wind. The house was very well equipped and we didn't lack for anything. We did not have any maintenance issues at all. We would definitely stay here again

Stayed Aug 11, 2024My husband and I spent a week at Poppa’s Place in Land Harbor. Beautiful surroundings, lots to do….golfing was fun. House is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend

Stayed Jul 23, 2024We had an amazing time at Poppy’s place. There was plenty of room and the kids loved the games, fuse ball game, and especially the hot tub!! We will be back!
