Stayed Jan 5, 2026This house has a lot of potential but the others who mentioned the home needs more attention from the owners are accurate. First, the amount of broken items in the home was very surprising. When we first arrived my children were very excited about the foosball table, but then we quickly realized the legs were broken and there wasn’t a ball in sight. After that I took pictures of all the broken shelves, cabinets and walls so nothing would be blamed on my family. Secondly, the house appeared like it wasn’t cleaned by professionals. It wasn’t filthy, but the amount of dust on shelves, crumbs on the floor, spider webs in kitchen light fixture and dirt all over the ceiling felt like the cleaning job was likely quickly done and without fidelity. It bothered us enough that we do some sweeping and wiping ourselves. BE AWARE: There are exposed spikes at the entrance to the rooms. We also weren’t able to get the remotes to work, but had a Roku app that allowed us to control the tvs from our phones. We planned on playing games from their game room that were pictured but all the games were broken or missing pieces. It was definitely disappointing as my children were looking forward to having a game night during our stay in Big Bear.The best thing about the place is definitely the hospitality of the owners. They were wonderful from first communication to last. They were attentive to our needs.

Stayed Nov 27, 2024Doritina is a very sweet host, she responds quickly to messages and questions! This is my first time using VRBO. I’m not sure how often the owners visit their rental, i feel if they did make frequent visits they would not be satisfied with the condition or cleanliness of the house. This is a house that accommodates 9 quest. First there isn’t enough plates or cups to accommodate. The lack of cookware and the condition that they are in is in my opinion very disgusting. The couch and decorative pillows with food stains. The floor where the couch sits seems to have an old dried sauce stain. The bathroom with the tub had hair in it. The kitchen island had a stain of what seamed of some sort of once again dried sauce dripping down the island wall to the floor. The wonky faucet in the master bathroom. The no head shower in the other downstairs bathroom. The unsafe carpet to floor transitions have nails poking out of the floor, ( which in fact my husband stepped on. ) Baseboards to shower curtain and the list goes on. I would recommend a lot of upgrades to this rental before renting out to guest. Again Doritina is very sweet, but unfortunately I would never stay here again.

Stayed Aug 31, 2024We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was very clean. The only issue was the protruding carpet tacks on all carpets - Fix that and it is a perfect place to stay at Big Bear.

Stayed Jul 21, 2024The house was roomy for our large family of 8 ranging in ages from toddler to teen to young adult. The description doesn’t show it, but the house is actually multi level. The second family room, second queen bedroom and 3rd bath are upstairs in a loft area that is removed from the the main family room/kitchen area. Perfect for the older kids to have some space away from the littles . The location was convenient to the lake and grocery shopping- 6 min drive. . Overall a great stay.

Stayed Feb 22, 2024Do not stay here if you care about cleanliness or need the house comfortable for 7 people. Here is a list of our disappointments: -No hot tub as was originally advertised -Locked bathroom door on main floor (had no access and was never fixed eventhough owner said they would send someone) -extremely moldy master shower -Dirty spaghetti dishes in cabinet, dirty coffee pot, dirty silverware and refrigerator held up by duck tape -Not enough dishes/silverware for 7 -Not enough hot water for 7 -dirty baseboards/dusty -broken games -food on the floor -filthy carpet I was so sad the owners did not help us with these issues and will never stay there again.
