The house was absolutely covered in filth, including the restrooms, two out of three of which didn’t even work properly. One toilet was completely broken, and the entire house smelled beyond terrible. I literally sprayed my perfume, and it still didn’t help. That’s how bad it was. I absolutely do not recommend this house to anyone.

This was a really cute cabin but the cleaning fee charged vs the clean we got was unreasonable. Dirt on the floors and couches, only 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people in 3 days, we needed to clean our own dishes and the leaves from all the trees are not part of the clean up so pine needles and cones all over. I tried to clean the first night because it was thanksgiving the next day and it was pointlessness… I rarely stay in rentals I’m a hotel person and wanted to try renting a different space now that I have a baby but I’m going to be sticking to hotels. I let the host know the house was not left clean and the response was thanks for letting us know! Maybe next time

The host was very interactive and quick to reply. The cabin location and proximity to both the lake and Big Bear Village were the best features of this place. We did have to wait nearly a hour to be able to get into the main cabin because the door lock code was not programmed in time for our check in.The cabin amenities were sparse with the ‘bare’ essentials. There was one roll of toilet paper in the main restroom. The other bathroom had a nearly empty toilet paper roll. We could not find the extra toilet paper rolls in the cabinet. Also, the living room coffee table was quite unsafe as it kept wobbling and falling over. There was only one pillow per bed in one of the rooms and the bed was quite lumpy. Lots of dust in cabin A also.Could be a more pleasant stay if those issues were fixed.

The place was beautiful and very roomy. When we got there the code to get in didn’t work so I contacted the host and they responded quickly with a backup code. The host was very responsive with a few issues that we had and they were very respectful. The scene of the lake and the wildlife was also beautiful and very enjoyable. Thank you very much for our visit to Big Bear.

Really enjoyed the home. The kids loved the dock they each got a fish . Both homes were very cozy. Definitely coming back. I just wished the decks were swept.

The location was great & we loved having a dock. The fridge didn’t get cold and our food spoiled overnight so that was frustrating. There wasn’t any cleaning supplies so we had to go out and buy things to clean up (soap for dishes & dishwasher). This house fits a lot of people but there wasn’t enough toilet paper so we had to go out and buy more. There also wasn’t a lot of cooking pots/pans so we had to be very creative with meals and we expected a better stocked kitchen. The furniture outside was falling apart and could use an upgrade. The hammock outside is broken. The AirPlay on the TV didn’t work and we wanted to use it but unfortunately were unable to. We made the best of the stay and we had a lot of fun but these things should definitely be addressed.

Absolutely Disgusting, Misrepresented, and Unfair – Do Not Book This RentalWe booked this Big Bear rental for a family birthday weekend with grandparents flying in to join us. What we expected, based on the photos and listing, and what we walked into upon check-in were two completely different things. This place was filthy, unsafe, misrepresented, and managed by people who clearly care about nothing but squeezing money out of guests. The management company was robotic and didn’t take real action —they claimed they’d send a cleaner but only did so after multiple follow-ups even though we never came because we left early. We asked for a fair partial refund for the first night, which we were entirely entitled to given the misrepresentation, but they refused. They finally refunded the second night after we left. This place is truly so awful, unlivable and really ruined our whole weekend together.

It was very disappointing three nights that we stayed here, from one unite unfunctional toilet to thick spider web all over ceiling, Brocken furniture, Brocken window screen and not having AC. Very small kitchen considering a place with 5 Bedroom and very limited cooking pots and pans.

The property has 2 homes on it and ideal for large groups. It is located right on an outcove of the lake and ideal for water activities because you do have your own dock and the lake levels are great! The house is nice and well kept. This location is beautiful and the views are incredible.
