At The Deer Tracks Lodge, the best mountain days start with coffee on the covered deck and end with a long soak in the hot tub, a little arcade competition and s`mores beneath the stars. This dog-friendly 3-bedroom cabin sleeps up to 10, with a king master suite and 2.5 baths. Between adventures, settle in with fast Wi-Fi, cook together or fire up the outdoor grills. Zion, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, mountain lakes and miles of hiking and ATV trails are within easy reach of Duck Creek Village.

🦌 Main Floor 🛏️

The main floor includes the kitchen, living room and king master suite. The suite has its own private full bathroom, giving guests private space close to the cabin`s main gathering areas and covered deck.

The living room is set up for movie nights, slow mornings and taking in the mountain views through the windows. Start the day at the coffee bar, then carry your cup onto the covered deck as the sun comes up in the direction of Bryce Canyon.

The kitchen has the equipment your group needs for meals at the cabin, including a refrigerator and freezer, oven, microwave, air fryer, crockpot, toaster, waffle maker and rice cooker. Dining is casual and spread across several gathering spots: the kitchen island seats 4, the window table seats 2 and the outdoor table on the covered deck seats 6. There is no single indoor dining table that seats all 10 guests together.

🦌 Basement + Arcade Game Room 🎮

The basement is where Deer Tracks shifts from mountain cabin to family competition zone. The lineup includes 3 arcade machines: Terminator 2, Golden Tee and a custom-built machine loaded with more than 9,000 games spanning classic arcade titles and generations of Nintendo, Sega, PlayStation and more. The hardest part may be deciding what to play first.

The game room also doubles as an open sleeping area with 2 queen beds and a queen-size sleeper sofa. A separate bedroom on this level has another queen bed.

This downstairs arrangement works especially well for another couple, cousins or a second family traveling with the group. The separate queen bedroom offers added privacy, while the open game-room sleeping area keeps the additional beds together on the same level. Everyone sleeping downstairs shares a full bathroom with a spa-inspired feel.

🦌 Outdoor Living + Hot Tub ♨️

Outdoor time at Deer Tracks does not end when the day`s adventure does. Ease into the hot tub after hiking, riding or exploring the parks, then settle in beneath the pines as the mountain air cools and the stars come out.

The covered deck also has a fire table for cool evenings. A Traeger grill and a commercial-grade infrared Char-Broil grill are ready for everything from slow-smoked favorites to burgers and steaks.

After dinner, move to the separate fire pit for s`mores and another round of stories beneath the night sky. On a clear evening, you may even see the Milky Way with the naked eye. Bring a telescope if someone in the group takes stargazing seriously.

The cabin sits on a spacious lot surrounded by pine trees, with ample parking for your group.

🦌 Explore Duck Creek 🥾

Fish at Aspen Mirror Lake, Navajo Lake or Panguitch Lake. Explore hundreds of miles of hiking and ATV trails around Duck Creek Village, or plan a day trip to Cedar Breaks, Brian Head, Kanarra Falls, Zion, Bryce Canyon and Coral Pink Sand Dunes.

🦌 Whole-Home Backup Power ⚡

Mountain power outages can happen. The cabin is equipped with a Generac whole-home generator that helps keep the lights, heat and essential systems running if the neighborhood loses electricity.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire cabin, hot tub and outdoor living areas.

The detached garage/Conex box and a locked closet in the master bedroom are not available to guests.

Self check-in is provided through a smart lock. Arrival instructions and access information are sent during the afternoon of check-in.

The Neighborhood

Duck Creek Village is a small mountain community with easy access to Southern Utah`s national parks, lakes and year-round outdoor recreation.

You`ll have pine trees and breathing room around the cabin while still being part of a mountain neighborhood. This is not a remote, off-grid location, so you can expect to see and occasionally hear neighbors during the day.

The cabin is close to The Village, where you`ll find the gas station, country store, restaurants and pub. It is a short drive or an enjoyable walk when weather and road conditions cooperate.

Getting Around

A vehicle is necessary for reaching the cabin and exploring the surrounding area. The Village is a short drive away and may also be reached on foot when weather and road conditions cooperate.

‼️ 4WD is required October through April—no exceptions. A 2WD vehicle with chains is not an acceptable substitute.

The cabin sits at approximately 8,500 feet, where mountain conditions can change quickly. Roads may be clear when you arrive, but significant snowfall may occur overnight. Roads and the property are generally plowed after approximately 8 inches of accumulation or following a major storm. During active snowfall, snow may accumulate before the plows make another pass. Please arrive with the proper vehicle and be prepared for active mountain conditions.

There is ample parking for registered guests, including space for a trailer. Trailers may be parked at the property, but guests may not sleep in an RV, trailer, tent or vehicle.

🦌 A Few Practical Notes 📝

🔐 Booking Verification

After booking, the primary guest will receive a secure verification link by text or email. The guest must use that link to submit a valid photo ID and payment method to complete the required verification. Please do not send ID or card details directly by text or email.

🚗 Winter Access

4WD is required October through April—no exceptions. A 2WD vehicle with chains is not an acceptable substitute. Please review the Getting Around section for complete winter access and plowing information.

🛒 Groceries and Dining

Complete your main grocery shopping before driving up the mountain. Cedar Mountain True Value carries a limited grocery selection, while Loose Wheels has gas, snacks and convenience items. These are helpful if you forget something, but neither should be treated as a full supermarket for your stay. Duck Creek Village also has several restaurants and a pub, although operating days and hours vary by season.

🐶 Dogs

House-trained, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Guests may bring up to 2 small dogs with a combined weight of no more than 75 pounds, or 1 larger dog weighing no more than 75 pounds. Dogs are the only pets permitted.

🔥 Fire and Grill Supplies

Guests provide their own firewood for the outdoor fire pit and propane for the deck fire table. Propane for the Char-Broil gas grill and pellets for the Traeger are provided. All outdoor flames are subject to current fire restrictions and may not be used when local restrictions prohibit them.

👥 Occupancy

Maximum occupancy is 10 guests, including children—no exceptions.

📶 Wi-Fi, Power and Utilities

The cabin has fast Wi-Fi measured at 125 Mbps. Mountain internet and utilities can occasionally be affected by weather or regional service interruptions. A Generac whole-home generator helps keep the cabin powered during a neighborhood electrical outage, but it cannot prevent interruptions involving outside internet or utility providers.

🪜 Stairs

The basement sleeping areas, arcade game room and full bathroom require stairs.

The cabin is extremely welcoming and comfortable. Everything in the pictures and descriptions was on point. The gated patio was a tremendous feature for us while sitting outside with our pups. The hosts were amazing to deal with! I messed a couple things up during booking and they were fantastic to work thru my mistakes with. I really appreciated that. This was an anniversary trip and it was everything we wanted it to be. We plan to make this a yearly trip. I typically want to be home after a night or two away, but I found myself wishing our trip would have been longer. I credit that to the vibe of this peaceful cabin retreat. Thanks again Nick!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was exactly as described—new, clean, and beautifully decorated, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. The peaceful, quiet setting made it an ideal getaway. We also really appreciated that the cabin is pet-friendly. Just a heads-up to future guests, if you're planning to bring a pet, it's worth checking with the host beforehand. The third-party management company applies a separate pet fee and a damage protection charge that aren't included in the initial Vrbo pricing. These additional costs caught us a bit off guard, so it's helpful to be aware of them ahead of time. All in all, a lovely place to stay and a very comfortable, well-maintained cabin!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. Everything was clean, very well stocked, comfortable beds, excellent driveway length and grading for accommodating our enclosed trailer, and a great location with close proximity to the restaurants, hardware store, and gas station. The host was quick to respond and follow up to make sure our stay was perfect. This our new go-to cabin in Duck Creek Village.

We were really lucky to find this place. We used to go to a family cabin every year in duck Creek since I was a baby, but haven't been in about 20 years, because we grew up and got busy. My parents are now elderly and it was important to go one last time together as a family. This cabin was in the perfect area, clean, beautiful and it limited stairs with a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor which is hard to find in the mountains and necessary for my parents who have mobility issues. It is also dog friendly, so we were able to bring the third generation of family dogs to experience all that this area has to offer. We relived memories of Bryce Canyon, Escalante, Red Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Brianhead, Panguitch, Parawon Gap, and a few days at Duck Creek ane Navajo lake fishing and swimming. Note it is mountain living at high altitude, so read hosts notes in description of you haven't been to this area before. The hosts were responsive and check out was easy! Thank you for giving us a perfect home base for our adventure.

We had such a wonderful time at this property. The grounds are beautiful and the down was so sweet. We had a snow storm and stayed in one day but had plenty to do with the game room, smart tv access, etc. I loved the coffee bar! The house is spacious, and had all the necessary items to cook. Will be back for a summer trip. I highly recommend staying here.
