Good communication with the host and the cottage was clean and comfy. Good location to what we needed. This was our second time here both during the winter months. The outdoor firepit and indoor wood burning stove were a perfect touch.

We had such a great time here for a long weekend! The weather was perfect, and the house was set up perfectly for relaxing and making memories. We floated down the Boardman River on our tubes, checked out the Traverse City Whiskey Co. production facility, and enjoyed plenty of space in the backyard for cornhole. The fire pit by the river was the perfect way to end the evenings.

Very clean and comfortable house. Great location near Traverse and a beautiful river view. Great dock and the screened in porch by the river was awesome. Easy access into the river. Well maintained yard.Kitchen was where the place lacked the most. Not a sheet pan in sight. Very small mixing bowls and the cookware needs to be updated. The non-stick is coming off and the size is too small, especially if you had a party of six. Nice to have a gas range though!A better chef's knife would be nice and a second pair of cooking tongs would be helpful. Utensils and serving ware are limitedAlso, usually when I have VRBO'D in the past there would be plastic wrap or Ziploc bags. None of the above was provided. Just toilet paper and paper towels.Bed was ok, small and soft. Sheets and bedding were nice. The umbrella on the table outside needs to be repaired. It's about to fall apart.Just a reminder, no wood is provided for the fire pit. Kayaks are fine but only 1 paddle is in good condition. We accessed the garage because there was no gas on the gas grill so there was a nice surprise of a ping pong table in there and we did enjoy that. The grill was in good condition. The view from the property is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately the roadside noise is loud. You hear more cars than you do River ripples. We did see lots of ducks, deer, a crane.Kayaking the Boardman we used Rudolf Ranch Livery just up the road and there is a nice hike at brown bridge quiet area nearby.

The place was spectacular. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and charming. The property was spacious with plenty of room to play outdoors. View and access to the river were great. The only negative is that it is not very far off a main road. You don't see the road and it's not a problem, but you do hear the traffic which can detract from the otherwise perfect ambience. It is Not a show-stopper at all ...

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin. Cleanliness was 10/10 and check in process was simple. We loved being right on the river and having access to kayaks. It was nice and quiet, while also being close to the city!

This cabin is exactly what we were hoping for. It was very clean and well stocked with some nice essentials. The stretch of river lining the whole back of the property was very clean. Even though it was too cold for us you could definitely swim if you wanted. It was also a perfect place to fly fish. Every thing was so relaxing and peaceful.

Excellent cabin located next to a nice river. Easy drives to all of the area sites. Regular morning and evening sightings of wildlife. The cabin had everything we needed and more. Perfect situation for us as a recently retired couple for a weekday getaway (3 nights). Would like to have stayed another couple of nights, maybe next time. Thanks for a great experience.

We had a lovely stay at your exquisite cabin! We wish we could've stayed longer when the temperature was hot enough for the river! The heated shower room was a great touch! Thank you for helping our group make great memories at your abode.

This was a beautiful location and we really enjoyed the space, the water and all this property had to offer. The listing did say there was a washer and dryer which did not happen to be the case but everything else was fairly spot on. Most of the kayaks are missing plugs so beware of that if you are wanting to use them but this space really is a hidden gem

The owner was highly responsive and easy to work with. We really enjoyed and spent time in the screened room right on the river. The current of the river is too fast to kayak against or go upstream but is shallow, clear, and fun to play in. Such a great place to spend with family.
