Near Lake Fork: Home w/ Fire Pit in Yantis!

Rough, run down place. Spider webs everywhere, inside and out. Broken window in the living room, back door doesn’t open, no tv in the rooms as pictured, grill and oven were dirty, bugs literally all over the floors, windowsills, and even on some beds. Find another place, this isn’t the one. The owner ensured things would be taken care of after I read bad reviews and was adamant about it being cleaned and ready to go, considering we intended to spend Thanksgiving here, he told me he would make sure it was cleaned and ready for our holiday. After driving 7 hours across the state, just to find he failed on his promises.

Inside of home was very clean and mostly as described. The exterior of the home was not well maintained. Most of the amenities were broken and unusable. Grass was so high that most of the lot was inaccessible. Mosquitos were everywhere due to the hot tub not working but full of water. The ground was covered with ants.

There were cockroaches, and bugs. We found a scorpion in the kitchen. And so many wasps everywhere. You cannot even sit outside. Every ammenity was broken. The slide is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Every joist is crooked and unsafe. Deflated nasty costco hot tub on the porch gathering filth and more bugs. All of the furniture was different than in the pictures. Tv's and windows broken. Broken shower, no soap, or toilet paper for a 2 wk stay. We left the fourth morning after cleaning for days, and never recieved feed back from the owner, no refund, nothing from encore. We had to find another property. This place is a health hazard.

Overall was a good stay, the house had the bare necessities. Our kids loved the slide & zipline. Hated that the grass was a little long but understood because the weather. When we got there, there were dirty dishes in the dish washer & not a lot of room in trash cans for our trash. Other than that we truly enjoyed the stay.

The house worked perfect for our needs, the guys had a great time staying there!

Filthy hot tub. I reached out twice requesting the hot tub be cleaned- no answer from property owner. Yard games were warped and not useable. No condiments in the house, and only two trash bags. Not a well-maintained property. Requested discount due to hot tub issues, and again, no answer from the owner.

Our stay was great. The kids loved the zip line.

House was a HUGE hit with our kids! Seriously…. An indoor slide? Zipline? Foosball table? Yes, Kids loved it! The house was nice,and the owner was very nice checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. She even let us pay for a late checkout. It’s right up the road from a crawfish place, and very convenient to go to Lake Fork. If you have a family, this is the place to stay!

two of the guys didnt get there until 2:00 on Thursday nite due to his son having emergency surgery as result of cancer(17 yrs old), they enjoyed it once they got there.the driveway is in need of repair aand the walk way to the house made it difficult to not track in mud, we did the best we could.
