UPDATE - the HOT TUB is ON and in-service for the season!

** PLEASE NOTE - I no longer have access to a laundry service that is able to take care of providing clean sheets, blankets, towels, washcloths, and pillow slips. Please understand that I would like to provide this service, but I am unable to. Thus, you’ll need to plan on bringing your own. I do apologize for this.

*** Please read this entire description before booking, and feel free to ask me any questions youmight have! ***

I have had some recent complaints regarding a few items so please read the following info prior to booking. Your booking this cabin acknowledges that you have read and understand the information contained in this ad.

This RUSTIC cabin is located in a wooded and grassy area. There are bugs and there are spiders and there are other furry critters in the area. The cabin is typically cleaned on a Monday after folks check out. The cleaning service has an hour round trip travel time, so it is likely it won’t be “freshened up” immediately prior to your arrival if you come later in the week. Please expect there to be a sign of activity of these bugs and spiders and other pests in this natural wooded area.

The lawn service might not always be able to mow or trim weeds directly prior to your arrival. Many factors such as rain, wooded property access, and land topology play into this. This is not a metropolitan or town location. If you are expecting that, understand you might be disappointed and won’t receive a refund.

Sometimes, a window might fail to lock. However, all main entry doors are secure and have locks on them. We have never had a security incident since we began cabin rentals in 2012. I have had many, many very happy customers. Many folks come back to each of my locations each and every season. However, a few have not been happy due to the items listed above. Please be sure you understand the above information before choosing to stay here.

This simple cabin is located in a wooded area to allow hiking, campfires, grilling out, and just relaxing while overlooking the scenic wooded view. It is located near South Bloomingville, OH, just minutes from Old Man s Cave, Ash Cave, Conkle s Hollow, and many other local attractions.

Plates, bowls, pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, and trash bags are included.

The cabin has air conditioning, an electric furnace heater, ceiling fans, leather recliner, leather reclining couch and loveseat, and a fire pit! It has beds and couches to sleep 6 (please see below for a description of the bedding arrangement), kitchen with stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Outside, there is a propane grill on the front porch. There is also ample space for a nice campfire to roast hot dogs and make S Mores!

Bedding arrangement: There are a total of 3 mattresses: 1 queen size bed in the bedroom (sleeps 2), 2 twin bunkbeds in one corner of the main room (sleeps 2), a couch (can sleep 1), and a loveseat that can sleep 1 small adult or child. {Entire cabin sleeps up to 6 - feel free to bring air mattresses to sleep more}.

Please note: I have very good feedback at my cabins, and I pride myself in trying to make sure folks enjoy their time here. I will do my best to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. In order to achieve that, I want to make sure you are aware of a few items:

At times an item within the cabin might not be functional. Items such as these will be addressed ASAP by the property managers, and I will always do my best to make sure you are notified prior to booking.

The cabin packs MANY items into a small area.

Don t delay! Get out to the Hocking Hills!

This property is located in a rural setting with open grassy areas and woods nearby. We do our best to keep pesky rodents away but at times there could be a rodent that was just caught in a trap. We have tried poison, traps, and using nothing at all; we have landed on continuing to use mousetraps. Poison causes them to die in the most inopportune places and having no traps at all just leads to larger issues. If you happen to find a mouse in a trap we apologize - we truly are doing the best to can to make the pests disappear. Just please be prepared to place all food in sealable containers or in the refrigerator so you don’t attract them even more!

In addition to small furry pests, an occasional wood roach might be wandering around a cabin. I assure you these are NOT a cock roach. Please google “wood roach”. They feed on moist damp wood. They don’t really want to be inside but they might have been carried in on firewood or wandered in looking for a mate. They don’t eat human food and they don’t want to be inside. If you find one, please either dispose of it or simply throw it outside. Thanks for your patience as you venture in to the rural wooded areas of Hocking Hills!

There was a large number of stink bugs that came into the house along with the wasps that came in through the same hole. The water was alright after you ran the cold water for a second but other than that, the local caves and winery were beautiful. The property manager was quick to respond to the issues that were brought to her attention which was appreciated

Cabin was clean and was in a beautiful little spot. A few bugs got in here and there but it didn’t take away from anything. Me and my wife would come again!

it was an amazing place and was exactly what we wanted for the weekend. The hot tub was amazing and had a couple clear nights to enjoy the sounds of nature and gaze at the stars. The days were hot but the cabin was nice and cool when we arrived. We definitely would love to stay there again someday

I LOVE this cabin!! I is tucked away nicely and feels private and cozy. I can sit on the porch in the morning and look into the trees and listen to the birds. The bed is a nice size and there are nice twin beds and a sofa. Kitchen is nice and open and stocked with the dishes and pots and pans I needed. Shower is small, yet nice and the water was nice and hot. The hot tub was down, but I have been in it before and it was in a perfect placement looking out over the trees. Listen, this is a cabin in the woods— it gives a nice lightly rustic glamping feel without being too hotel- like. You may see bugs and bees, you may see snakes and deer— the owner communicated with me nicely upon check in and Connie the property manager was so great during our stay and helpful with anything we needed. Cabin was clean and ready for us. The price was great and check in and check out was easy and seamless. This is my all time favorite cabin and I suggest you try it out and really enjoy the authentic cabin camping experience right in the midst of so many local attractions with the caves and waterfalls and hiking, also around the corner from an amazing vineyard, a local mercantile shop called Stella’s, and not too far from other local shops and restaurants. Can’t wait to go back!

The cabin was not clean. There was dog hair on the furniture.Dog hair on the floor. Bathrooms were in need of repair. The sofa bed is worn out. Needs new mattress. The deck had boards that were loose and raised up in places. The cabin was in bad need of repair. I’ve visited Hocking Hills many times. This cabin was the worst by far. Would not recommend at all.

It was great. A lot of dead stink bugs in the windows, but it is a cabin. It was super cute, and the location was great. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. Would definitely stay again. The only thing I would change is having bedding there. I felt like it was so much extra work to bring bedding and wash it when we got home.
