Stayed Jun 7, 2026Good luck trying to get help if something is wrong with the cabin. We didn’t stay the first night because the AC was not working. Unfortunately, when we booked through VRBO, the reservation was actually managed by a third-party company. We had no idea when we booked that the reservation was being managed through a third party company. Since we booked directly through VRBO, we assumed VRBO would be able to assist if any issues arose. It wasn’t until we experienced the AC problem that we learned customer service and support would have to go through an outside management company instead.We contacted the management company to report the AC issue and were told a technician would come out the following day. I waited at the cabin for seven hours without air conditioning, but no technician ever arrived. We ultimately had to leave and find another cabin.To make matters worse, we were not fully refunded for the inconvenience and were initially charged for nights we never stayed. If you’re booking through VRBO, be sure to verify whether the property is managed by a third-party company, as it may complicate customer service and resolution of issues.
