Clean place everything worked close to everything you could possibly wanna be

I loved everything is there

The ants in kitchen were bad. furniture in cabin was not comfortable and not enough seating for 5 people. porch roof was not good leaked . not enough seats on porch for 5 people. they should say you can only enter by using steps. I have a handicap and was hard to use steps. Road up to cabin was horrible.

Loved the privacy. Wasn’t sure if what if anything we needed to do in order to get our deposit back. Could not find the switch for the gas fireplace

The location was perfect, close to numerous attractions and delicious food. A shout out to Secret Sandwich Society, Char and Pies and Pints. Had a couple problems upon arrival but Michael was attentive and went out of his way to try to help. The cabin had about everything you need to stay comfortable. People were welcoming everywhere we went and the area is beautiful.

The cabin was clean and perfect for a weekend get away..

We always have a great stay. The cabin is very cosey and the location is close to a lot of activities. We will stay here again next time we are traveling thru West Virginia.

Everything about Mountaineer Cabin 6 was perfect during our short two day stay. Easy check in, very clean, plenty of kitchen supplies and towels, etc. The hot tub worked great, lots of jets to get all the sore spots after a long hike. This cabin is very close to many great excursions at New River Gorge. We hope to stay again when we have more time to enjoy more of what the area offers

This cabin was exactly as described, and for being in a wooded area, it was one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed in! The hot tub was great and completely private. Having a sink in each bedroom was such a smart move because someone could be in the bathroom shower and everyone else can still get ready. The kitchen had all that was needed and the grill was clean and ready for use! The location in relation to the gorge area was really ideal. The town of Lafayette is less than 10 minutes away, and really has great little shops and great places to eat. We traveled down to Nuttallburg for a hike and saw the abandoned coal town that still had the coal chute and tipple. Would highly recommend going down there! Nicely run cabin and even had a visit from the dog who lived over the hill!

Perfect home base for exploring the national and state parks in the area. The hot tub was much appreciated after a day of hiking the trails. The host was quick to respond and we had everything needed for meal prep, showering and relaxing. Strong Wi-Fi for remote working as well. Adorable and comfortable in a private setting! Will definitely stay here again.

Hot tub was perfect, great location

Cozy secluded cabin in the woods, close to New River Gorge and all of its attractions. Internet and phone service spotty throughout the area. Each bedroom had a sink, with mirror, which really freed up the bathroom. Big porch with swing and rocker to relax after an active day.

The property was amazing, good location and kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub worked great and overall property was very clean. The host was challenging to communicate with.

Cabin was cozy and very clean. It snowed while we were there so satellite not working. I brought my clothes on hangers and there are no closets only chest of drawers. We had a great time though. I would recommend the cabin.

Great cabin - very clean with all the amenities. Owner very responsive. Even put a small Christmas tree in the cabin for us to enjoy. We will be back!

Amazing place to stay! The driveway up to the cabin could use a little repair- it was rutted and a bit difficult to navigate in a sedan but this didn't detract from enjoying a cozy getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were in the area for our anniversary and did a lot of hiking and site seeing of the bridge. The property was clean, the perfect size for my husband and I, and conveniently located to all the areas we wanted to visit.

We enjoyed our stay with the dog. The hot tub was nice and clean. The cabin was clean internet worked well and was comfortable.

Everything was spotless! So cozy and comfortable. Very private. The host responds almost immediately. I highly recommend staying here.

The cabin was clean, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms were very tidy. Super close to New River Gorge. There were a few things that could have been improved on. There were not any blinds in the windows, most windows had curtains, so we used them and used a bath towel on the kitchen window & taped some paper on the window on the front door because the blind was broken. There were not any handles to open the kitchen cabinet doors and drawers, you had to use your fingertips and grab the edges. Maybe put a few knobs on the cabinets and drawers. As noted, the cabin was nicely cleaned, the girl was just finishing up when we arrived and we figured the strong perfume smell was because she was just done, but the scent was so strong the whole 2 days we were there. One of the bedspreads was soaking wet from having been sprayed so much, it wasn't even dry by bedtime. We couldn't use that bedspread the 1st night. No comment on my communication with property mgr. because it was not necessary before or during our stay. My above comments are not complaints, just honest feedback on our perspective as guests regarding privacy, difficulty opening drawers & strong scented sprays. I hope it's useful. The cabin had a classic “ cabin in the woods “ feel. The interior was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hot tub was appreciated.The location was perfect for our New River Gorge experience. The host was welcoming and informative. It was a wonderful experience!

The cabin was quite inviting and had everything we needed. We loved how peaceful our surroundings were but also how easy it was to get to our other activities. We went whitewater rafting, toured the New River Gorge Bridge area, went to the Beckley Coal mine and even visited Thurmond. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations Paul. I must mention how nice the bedsheets were.

Great locale, very nice cabin, awesome host, very private, per friendly. My only suggestion is a little more work on the access road to level it out

We loved Cabin 6, tucked back in the trees for some quiet and privacy. It's in a great location, quick drive into town and popular hikes. It had all the necessary amenities, just what we needed to catch up with family and get away for the weekend.

Quiet, relaxing and extremely comfortable. The cabin had all the amenities of home including coffee, dishwasher, and TV. The hot tub was awesome and we had a great time!

Rented this for a white water rafting trip. AOG is only 10 minutes away. Some updated appliances and some bigger beds would be nice

We really enjoyed our stay . The cabin was clean and well stocked. It was a very secluded setting . There were plenty of activities to enjoy nearby .I will rent it again .

Such peaceful place!

We were suprised how secluded this cabin felt while still being close to everything you want to see and do at New River. Check in was super easy and the cabin has everything you need to cook meals, relax, and sleep. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub was clean. We did have a mouse visit our kitchen in the night, but given you are surrounded by nature, that is not suprising, just keep your fruit in the fridge.

Location was very close to the bridge and Fayetteville. It was a very private cabin and well cleaned.

Thank you so much for the amazing cabin !!!! It was perfect for my husband and i ! Location was great and very private! The only semi complaint is I wish we had brought DVDs bc the WiFi wouldn’t work …. But the hot tub was perfect! Appreciated that cabin ! We will be back for sure

Nice secluded cabin in the woods but close the New River Gorge National Park. Cabin is well kept and has pretty much everything you would need. Cabin is pet friendly and has a bit on a grassy area for them. Owners are great host and respond to messages quickly.

I just left this cabin today so I wanted to give a thorough review while everything was fresh. First of all, loved the cabin. We had no issues with the booking and was even permitted to check in an hour early. You are secluded yet only 10 minutes away from fast food restaurants, gas stations, Walmart, etc. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay here again. Now for what I wish I knew. It’s pet friendly and my 2 dogs had a terrific time exploring the woods around the property. However, the neighborhood dog clearly makes himself at home and will walk right up through the woods. I’m a dog lover and my dogs are friendly but we don’t know this dog and it put us on edge to just let ours run around. Unfortunately, this wasn’t our only visitor. 3 more dogs came running up to the back of the cabin barking as we tried to enjoy the hot tub. Now this is absolutely no fault of the cabin owner and we had no issues whatsoever; however it would have been nice to be warned so that we could be prepared for our dogs to meet them. So here’s your warning!!The hot tub was very nice and clean. We took full advantage of it; however, there must be a timer set on the heat because ours shut off at 84 degrees and we didn’t know until we were going in and that’s way too cold haha. But we turned up the heat and it was fine before bed. I enjoyed my stay. You will too!!!

We had a short stay here to visit New River Gorge National Park and enjoyed it.

A nice, clean cabin with plenty of amenities!

This cozy cabin is secluded and surrounded by trees. Very clean and comfortable. The host truly went out of there way to makethis a pleasnt trip. .

We came here for a weekend trip and loved the place! Everything was clean and the cabin was very cozy. We will definitely want to stay here for any future trips.

We've stayed here a couple of times and its always a good experience. Plenty to do in the area, private locations, clean and up-to-date cabins.
