The cabins are dated, old, buggy, and not for the faint of heart. I booked this property HOPING it'd be good for my teen/tween, but it was older couples instead. The pool was buggy and FREEZING cold. The shower had a broken faucet knob and barely got warm no HOT water. It's a step up feom camping, but barely. The emails/texts from VACASA were confusing. One said to strip the beds and load the dishwasher (we had no dishwasher) and the other said to leave the beds alone but to wash dishes and put away. 3 people for 5 days... the cabin came with 2 forks, 2 spoons, 10 table knives, 4 towels, 4 pool towels, 4 hand towels and ONE washcloth. Weird? The door was OPEN when we got there. In fact, it never actually locked/closed unless we were in it and used the deadbolt. I hope no one snuck in and took stuff while we were out. You need a permit to use the firepit, and there wasn't firewood to be found in the vicinity. The property was quiet, and a short distance to Rte 93. Less than 30 minutes to Clarks in Lincoln and/or Funspot in Laconia. GORGEOUS mountain view.
The property is small, but we knew that before we arrived. At check in the code to open door did not work. We had to call Vacasa for alternate entry information. There were a number of small items that were deficient. No handle to control water in shower, No stopper for kitchen sink. Stopper on bathroom sink did not work. Bathroom sink was not completely attached to wall. Oven was inoperable. Had to call to get these items fixed. It took two days, but the person was able to fix most items. We were never able to use the oven because of a faulty knob. Otherwise, the cabin(# 8) was okay. We did enjoy the area as there were numerous places to walk on nice trails in the forest and near the lakes.
I rented this cabin while visiting NH and VT with my wife in the fall. It’s pretty convenient, just a couple miles off the freeway. I’m pretty picky about beds and this bed was quite comfortable. Bathroom is a bit tight, but not uncomfortably so and especially if you’re not spending a lot of time in the cabin to begin with. Heaters work VERY well - it was cold in the morning and literally 10 minutes of heat was more than enough to get it nice and toasty. The extra front room is nice for suitcase storage or for watching TV/playing games. The smoke alarm was sensitive, going off twice when we were cooking even though there wasn’t much smoke and we had the windows open and fan on. It’s nice having a parking spot right next to the cabin. Plenty of hot water for showers. I would definitely stay here again.
The cabin was perfectly comfortable for me & husband. We went out hiking 3 out of 4 days and played board games and cards on the 1 rainy day. Brought groceries to prepare all of our meals there, kitchen was just right and equipped with what we needed. Fabulous to use the propane grill for our meats. Really appreciate the clean bathroom and bright white towels! Bed was comfortable, WiFi worked well, pool water was 81F! Yay! Would stay here again.
This was an extremely small cabin that was probably built in 1950. It's outside presentation was poor. No renovation on the outside. Inside was different. It had a lot of renovation which made it acceptable and clean. However, I will not be returning. And, I think that it was way overpriced.
Had a great time in NH only had one problem of losing power in my cabin and no answer on fixing issue for over 2 hours. We ended up fixing the problem ourselves.
Everything was good except the strong smell of onions from the fridge
I had no hot water for the first day and found ticks inside.
Everything was homey and very organized. Definitely coming back for winter!
Stayed here during the winter. Good location in the Whites. Cabin was clean and cozy. Would stay again.
Property was well appointed and very clean.
