• You'll have the cabin and outdoor fire pit area all to yourself. Guests are not permitted in the loft. For your safety, please do not attempt to climb up there.
• Property Boundaries:
Please note that outbuildings, sheds, workshops, storage areas, and equipment are not part of the guest rental and are not available for guest access. The cabin is located on a private wooded property with neighboring homes nearby - but out of sight from the Cabin. For everyone’s privacy and safety, please remain within the immediate cabin area and do not enter neighboring properties or surrounding private areas.
• The only shared space is the main driveway entrance. The cabin is nestled among the trees on the lower portion of the 4-acre property, offering a peaceful and secluded setting. Although the driveway entrance is shared, the main home is not visible from the cabin.
▶ Other Details:
• Local Hosts:
Hosts live on the 4-acre property and may occasionally be seen working around the grounds or forest trails. While interaction is entirely optional, as long-time residents they are always happy to share local recommendations and favorite spots to help guests make the most of their Olympic Peninsula stay.
• No Smoking/Vaping:
Due to fire danger in our forest area and for the comfort of all guests, smoking or vaping of any substance is not permitted anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors.
• Sustainable Features & Backup Power:
Located just minutes from hiking trails and outdoor recreation, the cabin was designed with sustainability and simplicity in mind. The cabin features an easy-to-use incinerator dry flush toilet — a modern, water-conserving system that is clean, odor-free, and simple to operate. Clear instructions are provided for use. Enjoy a comfortable forest retreat while minimizing your environmental footprint.
• We use earth-friendly cleaning products to help maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally conscious space for our guests.
• Backup Power:
The cabin is equipped with a backup generator for added peace of mind during occasional mountain power outages.
▶ Wildlife & Nature:
Our home is located in a peaceful rural setting surrounded by native forest and abundant wildlife. It’s common to see deer, birds, rabbits, squirrels and other local animals on or around the property. For everyone’s safety please enjoy wildlife from a respectful distance and do not approach or feed them.
Because we are in a natural wooded environment, insects are also part of the ecosystem. We perform regular pest control and inspections, but despite our best efforts, you may occasionally see an insect or two indoors — they can be persistent little “buggers” in the forest!
▶ Food and beverages shown in some photos are for styling and inspiration purposes - not included with your stay. A starter supply of coffee and tea is provided for your enjoyment.
