The Space:

Quiet woods surround you as cool mountain air drifts through the trees, the scent of pine lingering as steam rises from the hot tub. Evenings settle in early this time of year, inviting slower moments - a light spilling onto the deck, and the calm that comes from being tucked away in the West Virginia mountains.

This family-friendly cabin in Berkeley Springs offers a comfortable retreat for couples, families, or small groups looking to unplug while staying connected when needed. The setting feels secluded, yet you’re within an easy drive of both nature and town.

Sleeping arrangements

The cabin sleeps up to six guests and includes two bedrooms plus a loft sleeping area. Both bedrooms feature queen beds, while the loft offers two twin beds. The layout works well for families or friends who want shared space with some privacy.

Bathrooms & comfort

There are two full bathrooms, including a spa tub located just off the primary bedroom for winding down after a day outdoors. Bathroom essentials are provided, along with fresh linens and extra pillows for perfect nights.

Indoor living

Inside, the cabin centers around an inviting living area that becomes a natural gathering spot. A window AC unit is available. A TV is available for relaxed nights in, and WiFi supports streaming and video calls, though speeds may vary due to the remote setting. A dedicated workspace in a room with a door makes it easy to balance work and downtime.

Kitchen & dining

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals at home, with space to cook and dine comfortably. Whether you’re brewing coffee on a slow morning or preparing a hearty dinner after exploring nearby trails, everything you need is here.

Outdoor living

Step outside to enjoy the wrap-around deck, complete with a BBQ grill and outdoor seating. The private hot tub, offering a good soak under the stars. The backyard offers room to roam, though it is not fully fenced. An outdoor basketball net adds a fun option for active guests.

Nature & surroundings

The cabin includes private access to Sleepy Creek, about a 15-minute walk away. While the creek is shallow, the surrounding woods are peaceful year-round. You’ll also appreciate the location - roughly 15 minutes from Cacapon State Park for hiking and golf, and about 20 minutes from Berkeley Springs for restaurants, shopping, and local attractions.

Good to know

The property is pet-friendly and well-suited for families, with thoughtful touches like children’s dinnerware and baby safety gates. Self check-in via lockbox makes arrival simple. Due to the natural setting, occasional leaves or pollen may be present on outdoor surfaces despite regular cleaning. High-voltage power lines are visible through the trees approximately 100 yards from the back deck.

This cabin is well suited for travelers seeking a quiet, wooded setting with comfort, space to unwind, and easy access to both outdoor recreation and town amenities.

Note

We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).

About 100 yards to the right of the back deck are high-voltage power lines that you can see through the trees. There's no safety issue or anything, but wanted to make sure you're aware.

Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!

Wi-Fi is provided, but due to the remote setting, service can sometimes be slower or spotty. We suggest downloading any essential content in advance.

Guest Access:

You'll have the cabin and surrounding property to yourselves. You can also access the small stream a short walk down the road.

Interaction with Guests:

Tony can be reached via cell/text during your stay, and a property manager can be onsite for any issues that arise.

Tony was a great host, very good to deal with. The cabin was clean, and organized; so peaceful, and quiet.

Absolutely beautiful location. Way more secluded than we had in mind. The hot tub was absolutely necessary, and it was a selling point. The beds were way more comfortable than other places I've stayed before, so that was definitely helpful. They offered a grill under cover from the rain, I don't remember having a grill available at any other place I've stayed on VRBO (although it's been a while.) Tony the host was very communicative whenever necessary. This place is definitely worth a stay if you're into being off the beaten path!

Based on a few other reviews, of it being 'rundown', yes - you can tell its aging, but it was a beautiful cabin, very private and quiet. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The bedroom and bathroom in the bottom floor was very nice and can tell everything was newer. Overall a geat little getaway and would definitely go back if we had the opportunity.

Pictures were deceiving.Would have been nice to have a you are here to kind of orient you with the map on bulletin board. No pot holders for hot pans out of oven. An arrow or something nailed to tree to signify direction to stream/creek.But, overall experience was relaxing and enjoyable

There was nothing wrong per se but the listing photos were very good. The place was clean and quiet but everything was just old and worn, a bit scrungy frankly. If it was a lower rate itnwould be less of a big deal but

Exactly what we were looking for - a quiet and relaxing cabin away from reality. My only suggestion would be to take a lantern. We did not and it was a little too dark for my comfort down by the fire pit. I would have felt better with a little more light! We brought our own flatscreen and firestick and set it up in the bedroom for relaxing and watching a movie in bed.

Cabin was nice but needing some updates & upgrades. The bedding was nice but no other furniture was comfortable to sit in. The area around cabin was very quiet. There is not much to in town and most businesses are closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. The property manager did check in with us and was very nice.

The neighborhood was quiet, the house had been cleaned fully and the hot tub seems very new and worked well. The cabin's deck oversees powerlines with the crackling sound close enough to obviously hear while outside. We stayed on a day when temps were around 80 during the day. There is one AC unit on the top/loft floor which does not come even close to air conditioning the cabin. There was a family of squirrels or rats or birds making very loud sounds in the woodstove's inside chimney. All of this would be fine if the price reflected it. However the price after including the cleaning and other fees is well beyond the value. If you choose to stay here: here, expect to receive 3+ text messages about how important it is that you leave at or before 10 am with no exceptions (unless you agree ahead of time to pay another $95).

    1) Problems checking in: Direction instruction to cabin: Unclear, not precise. instead of emphasizing do not use apple map---. Give the actual directions for example : depending on where you are coming from take 522 turn –to Oakland, how many miles and then to---. This way customers can read out of printed directions if your gps does not work. This is how vrbo rentals and others provide directions to the rental house. 2) Cabin location: close to Cacapon State park and trails, Berkeley Springs shops. Although there are neighbors from both sides of the rental, the back area is wooded and private for the use the hot tub. Would be safer with a step stool to get in and out of the hot tub. Deck flooring is worn out and furniture old, wobbly. 3) Cabin facility: small and tight appropriate for a couple or small family, not for special needs people. Small children must be watched-steep stairs. Kitchen well stocked. 4) Overall, ok with the pricing. Website ad of property description not accurate and misleading.
