Moose Meadows near Kilcher Homestead in Alaska the Last Frontier

What a special place! The views are magnificent. The mama moose with her babies were my favorite part. We were lucky enough to watch the mama moose put her babies to bed in the bushes as she laid down in the open field next to the bushes all from the porch. We weren't in Homer long enough, I will return.Homer and this cabin was 10 out 10 recommend!

Overall, it was a great stay. Hosts were excellent. Cabin was quite dated. The kitchen needed to be more stocked as far as cookware. Needed some comfortable outside furniture for the deck outside chairs for the fireplace would be nice quick check-in and out just far enough out of town that it felt secluded we did see a moose one morning in the yard. Cabin needed updating. I would recommend this stay.

Moose Meadows is in a beautiful place with a great view. The property is in a great location as well. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. It was a great place to stay and would definitely stay here again!There is 1 bathroom on the 1st floor and all bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and the water has a strong tinny/metal taste/smell. You can not park near the house either so be prepared to walk all items through the front yard to get them to the house.

Knew the area from a previous trip. Cabin location was as described. Listing describes cabin as a 3br that will sleep 5, but in amenities it lists 4 bedrooms and 4 beds. To be fair I assumed the 4th bed was a fold out couch or something but upon arrival it was a separate small building with a bed in it. Worked great for my older teenager but would not have worked for young children. The and could be more clear, but I should have read better and asked that question. All the other amenities were perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My older kid probably enjoyed the time away from the younger siblings.

This was a great stay for our family.

Nice quiet place tucked away in nature with great views of the mountains and glacier. Some views of the bay. Cabin was as described and then some! Plenty of room for our group of four. Watched both movies about the Kilcher Homestead and family. So very interesting! Cooked many meals with the variety of dishware/cookware and spices. We enjoyed a campfire one evening. Catkin was very responsive and helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing this wonderful property.

Seward was amazing. Property had everything we needed to function as home base, did very little food prep, tested well in beautiful surround.

Moose Meadows is so beautiful and peaceful. The decor is very cozy and we felt right at home. Everyone slept like a dream. Hope to make it back someday.
