Moose Manor, free WiFi, game-room, Hot Tub

The cabin delivered the mountain atmosphere we were hoping for, though the exterior wasn’t very clean — understandable given the location. Inside, however, we did notice quite a few cobwebs, slight musty smell and dust, which took away from the initial impression. The bedroom layout also felt a bit awkward, with the beds positioned very close to the bathroom door and the jetted tub.We did use the hot tub, but it wasn’t as clean as expected, and I had trouble getting it to turn off. The good news is that Walt was extremely responsive and walked me through resetting it, which I appreciated. Later, the fridge started acting up. Since it was a Saturday, there weren’t many repair options, but I was a little disappointed that I had to ask about alternative arrangements rather than being offered them upfront. Once I did ask, Walt gave us the option to move to another cabin.That move ended up saving our weekend. We were pleasantly surprised by a bear stopping by on our first morning. The second cabin was absolutely wonderful — clean, comfortable, and exactly what we hoped for, aside from some green buildup in the hot tub. So, again not being able to use the hot tub was a disappointment. Overall, the experience had its bumps, but the host’s responsiveness and the quality of the replacement cabin made a big difference.

Perfectly close to Gatlinburg & pigeon forge without being caught up in the hustle and bustle. Cabin was so much fun, 5 adults stayed comfortably for my wedding week. Lovely views out the huge glass windows. Definitely felt like the appropriate style housing for the area- a cabin in the woods!

Great stay for our family! Peaceful area yet close to town. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table so much!

We loved the location of the cabin. I realize being in the woods you are going to be getting bugs in, especially with no screens on anything. All 4 of us woke up with bug bites. (No, not bedbugs). Washed spiders down the sink, took a moth outside when we got there. In the corner of the room were a bunch of dead bugs. Moths and whatever. There were a bunch of Perrier insects on the kitchen windowsill. Shower had hair on the wall. Contacted host about the bumble bores and he responded quickly. There were things on the list to be there but weren't. (Coffee filters, cleaning cloth for dishes, dishwasher soap) I realize being in the woods, it is harder to keep clean but cobwebs both inside and out. The big windows were covered in cobwebs outside around the outside ofThem. But, all in all I had a great time and loved it there.

The cabin was perfect. Mountain View was great, to include the rockers and hot tub on deck. Loved the pool table and wide open space in living area and large windows were my favorite. Jetted tubs were a plus in the rooms. Will be back!

Enjoyed our Stay at the Moose Manor. Host was Friendly and easy to contact. Cabin could of been a little cleaner, but all in all it was really nice and we had a great time.

The property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the hot tub! Well furnished. Well stocked. There were some dead lady bugs in the tub but thats next to impossible to prevent this time of year. Host was responsive and check in was easy. The driveway is not for the faint of heart. It’s pretty steep!

Everything was great! Only complaint would have been the hot tub was cold! But excellent stay!

Very cozy cabin. Spacious family area. Although dated the appliances worked great. Closer to town than we expected.Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to staying again.

A lot of beetles in rooms and cobwebs deck need leaves blown off deck showers were very small

We loved the whole feel of the cabin. Traditional cabin feel with wood burning fireplace. The views were fantastic. The hot tub was wonderful! The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked.

Everything was great! The property was in great order. The only problem we had was that a dirty diaper was left in a trash can in one of the bathrooms upstairs, other than that, everything was nice and we had a great time! Will definitely try to use this property again. I will add, the drive up to the property is fairly steep and even though it's roughly only a mile from the gate to the cabin, it takes a few mins to get to it because it is so steep.

Great Home quiet location hot tub wasn't clean but we survived overall a good stay Close to all things we did

While the location of the cabin was 10/10, the cabin could use a little help. The hot tub was unfortunately down while we stayed there and there were cob webs on the windows. There was a mouse running around upstairs at night (which woke us up several times every night). We could not locate where it was coming from. If these things were fixed then we would definitely consider staying here again.

It needs a total, thorough cleaning: old cobwebs on the chimney box, dust layers on baseboard, porch hasn't been scrubbed and swept for a long time. It wasn't anywhere near the cleaning fee. There was a neglected broken chair on the deck. Needs labels on light switches. Broken fan blade on ceiling fan at stairway. Top of fan very dusty. One smoke detector was down without a battery. The oven had a defective door seal and it was very difficult to get the oven up to baking temp. Limited kitchen cookware. Very SMALL showers.

There are old spider/cobwebs several places especially notable on the sides of the chimney box. There is dust accumulation on the top of the baseboard in numerous places. The deck was filthy; obviously hadn't been thoroughly swept in a long time. The one rustic rocker on the porch was seriously broken. You could easily tell where water had got in around the screws in the seat slats and they had rotted through. There needs to be some instructions about which light switches are for which lights. The fan/light at the stairs was difficult to get the right switch locations to get the light on. That fan has a broken blade; the top of the fan was also quite dusty. The bed light in the northwest bedroom had no knob and therefore couldn't be used as a reading light. The smoke detector in the kitchen was down on the game table with the battery out when we arrived. The maintenance people put a new battery in but by that evening it was going off again with NO smoke; so we took it down and took the battery out. I called Walt about this so it is already reported. The oven door seal and frame are broken. The maintenance people tried to fix it and couldn't. It was quite difficult to get the oven to heat up without strongly closing the oven door and holding it tightly (as possible) shut. The showers are extremely small. The bed & bath area could easily be re-arranged by taking out the jacuzzi tubs, enclosing the bath as one room, making room for a little larger shower, and room for the chair where you could get to the chair without getting sandwiched between the bed and the jacuzzi and accidentally turning on the jacuzzi with your heel. There were a lot of skillets, almost to cooking pots (1 large), and no baking or casserole dishes. The beds were clean and well made. There were sufficient towels. We got contact with Walt quite easily. However, the payment of the cleaning fee is highly dubious given all the dust and cobwebs.

Had a good stay, except for issues with the hot tub. Walt was quick with response and helpful.

Trip had a few kinks right off the bat but all was quickly resolved within an hour of arrival ! Walt was absolutely amazing and ON TOP OF EVERYTHING! the cabin was so homey feeling , it might be in a gated community but you really feel like you are on your own ! do make sure you keep and eye out however as we had a young bear hang out with us on the porch for almost an hour , one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen ! Kids loved the hot tub and the game table ! Definitely planning to book again in the future !

Everything was very nice! I had not received the gate code for some reason but Walt was extremely responsive and readily available to talk to me and resolve the situation.

Cabin was BEAUTIFUL… !! Only downside is because you’re so far up the mountain… getting in town is a challenge… suggest you Uber or Lyft

We enjoyed our stay at Moose Manor! The cabin was just perfect! Great location and the front porch swing and chair were so serene! The hot tub was amazing too! Each room had its own jacuzzi and was wonderful. Beds were also comfy. Owner was timely responsive! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We even saw a bear across the road from us!

House was nice and in a good location. Steep driveway so may want to use trucks/4WD. Everything was nice except the fact that it had not been cleaned well. Dust and cobwebs were everywhere and the carpet in the bedrooms had trash on them where it had not been vacuumed. Showers were very small but doable for short/smaller people. You just can’t bend over in the showers lol. Definitely could be cleaned better. And we seen a bear!

The place was easy to get to, hut tub and pool table were nice to have. We had fun and even seen a bear! But the cabin was not clean. I could tell the carpet had not been vacuumed, dust and cobwebs were everywhere and it could easily be wiped off. Looked like the cleaning crew did very little cleaning. Showers were very small but doable. We would return if it wasn’t for the cleanliness… could definitely be cleaned better.

Sadly, couldn't get gaming console to work and the hottub felt slimy (could possibly use a good clean) - so we didn't get to use those two. A bummer as they were two of the things that helped us choose Moose Manor over other cabins (location and pool table were the other two requisites, and those worked out great). With thanks. Also - for maintenance - the toilet next to the kitchen is a little unbalanced. Could probably be tightened down. Thanks for a great stay!

We loved this cabin!! We loved that it felt safe, being in a gated community, and secluded, yet just a ten minute drive into town. We loved the big deck, and the nice view. We loved that all three bedrooms were upstairs together, and each had its own jetted tub, shower, sink, and toilet. The pillows need to be upgraded, but the beds were very comfy!! The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed, (the can opener wouldn’t work), but we would’ve loved an empty cabinet to store our snacks and groceries. This is a great cabin, we would’ve loved stay here again, and plan to recommend it to friends!

The cabin was as described. Great views of the mountains and the cabin was awesome. Walt was great at communicating and we had no issues. Will definitely return to Moose Manor for another trip to the Smoky Mountains.

Nice cabin, beautiful views. Needs some updating to appliances and the hot tub is very old. Comfy beds. There is a steep one way road up to the cabin with a steep driveway. The property manager was great and responds quickly to questions.

Nice cabin, but a bit outdated for the price. Windows need a good pressure washing. Spider webs present. Appliances need updating including the washer/dryer. Couldn't get the arcade game to work. Hot tub is very old.

We brought our kids down to Tennessee for a quick spring break getaway and this cabin was perfect! The hot tub and pool table were a hit with the whole family!

The property was absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing stay. We definitely weren't expecting how high up it was. It was a little scary getting to the cabin but most definitely worth it and you get used to after a couple of times lol.

We loved staying at the moose lodge cabin! Very spacious, beautiful front porch to relax and have a cup of coffee. Walt was very responsive and very helpful. A couple of things I will point out are that for some weird reason there were a lot of lady bugs in the cabin. In the bathtubs in the rooms and even on a bed. Another is that the main bedroom bath tub was leaking to the main floor and I was bummed that we couldn’t use it after 1 time. Other than that, we loved the quietness and how secluded it was from other cabins.

Beautiful cabin! The mountainous views were stunning and the cabin was conveniently located for driving to both Gatlinburg and Cades Cove! Highly recommend!

from outside very beautiful first impression very nice bedrooms are very small toilet rooms and shower are very small I am 6'2 and 280 and could barely move in the shower the beetles were about to take over Windows needed to be washed inside and out very few cooking utensils and kitchen linens were very stingy it could be a very nice place but needs a lot of TLC the very small I am 6'
