There are many sledding sites in the neighborhood.
There are multiple hiking / riding trail heads in the moonridge area.
1)Truck Trail (approx. 1.2 miles away from cabin)
Truck trail is a good trail for for 4x4 vehicles and for offroading vehicles. This trail is mainly recommended for adults and I wouldn't recommend this trail for families with young children.

Bristlecone Trail is 2.9 miles long and is recommended for families of all ages and for beginner level hikers.
3)Woodland Trail (approx. 3.9 miles from cabin)
Woodland Trail is a 2 mile long dog friendly trail. This trail has beautiful views and is by far the most scenic trail in Moonridge. Woodland Trail also is recommended for families of all ages.

Fantastic cabin to host a family with a hoard of snow shredders. Games inside were fun and crib helpful with our toddler. Super close to the BB parking. Book with confidence!

This ended up being the perfect house for our new year's and birthday getaway! Marilyn was a great host, and she added so many extra special touches to make it a home away from home that we really appreciated. The house was very clean, and had multiple areas that we could spend as a family, or for each person to have private time for themselves. We hope to stay here again on our next visit to Big Bear!

This home was extremely clean and easily accommodated our family of four. The owners (Marilyn and Miguel) where very communicative and responsive, which made handling the accommodations for this vacation super easy. We had a great ski trip to Big Bear and would be happy to stay at this home again.

Marilyn clearly takes great care of the cabin. It was clean and had so many special touches that we enjoyed. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. However, we did not feel like we were properly informed about the 35 steep stairs to get from the driveway to the front door to enter the cabin. We had giant coolers and large suitcases that took 3 adults to pull up the steps. Thank goodness it hadn't snowed recently, because it probably would have been an impossible task. Once everything was safely in the cabin, though, we had a lovely time. Thank you Marilyn!

We had a chance to stay at Pine Top Dream to ring in the New Year. The cabin was truly idyllic and very welcoming. Marilyn & Miguel were also wonderful hosts; they were quick to respond to messages and were very patient with our late arrival due to unforeseen delays. The cabin was very cozy, clean, and comfortable, and every detail was thought of down to the welcome basket, holiday decor, bathroom treats, and bed trays, which were such a nice touch. The cabin has everything needed from kitchen staples including spices and condiments, an assortment of games, ample cleaning supplies, two fireplaces (one wood burning; one gas), and the beds and sheets/duvets were beyond comfortable. There are also three decks and a variety of outdoor seating to take in the beautiful scenery and surroundings. The cabin is located just above central Big Bear in a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood, and is only a 5-minute drive to Big Bear Village.

Our hosts, Marilyn/Miguel, were generous, kind and so thoughtful in all the details and preparation and communication. The cabin was in a perfect location to enjoy building a snowman, Big Bear skiing, the zoo, grocery stores, fun eateries and everything the area has to offer. The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 as we had a enough space to spend valuable moments together and to enjoy quiet moments enjoying the beauty of the area. The kitchen, bath, bedrooms and family areas had everything that you needed to easily enjoy your time there. The description was perfectly described and Marilyn was wonderful in answering all of our questions and any concerns. We highly recommend this place if you are traveling up to Big Bear!!
