My stay at Casa Aurora was excellent in every way. For me its strongest point is its location, which is just a few minutes from the western entrance to Big Bend National Park. Big Bend is huge, and you are going to have to drive a long way once you get there, so save your yourself a long drive to the park! The area around the cabin is uncluttered (unlike some of the places up the road) and you get great unspoiled views of the distant surrounding mountains, including the mouth of Santa Elena Canyon. The house itself is stylish, modern, and clean, and everything worked great.

Excellent property, rugged location with comfortable amenities. Great porch view of the mountain and Sun/Moon Rise. Short drive to Big Bend and to town. Looking at all of the other BnBs, I think we picked the best one for a couple.

Only comment would be it could use a microwave. Otherwise new, clean, and great access to park with few neighbors nearby.

Perfect location, very close to Big Bend National Park. Loved the front porch-great watching sunrise, sunset and all the stars!Kitchen well stocked, plenty of room. Bed is comfortable. We loved having a fire outside on the nights it wasn’t windy. Owner very responsive to any questions. We would absolutely stay here again.

Can't think of a better set up for a couple. Super close to the Maverick entrance. Firm bed. Excellent HVAC. Nice porch. Could stop at Cottonwood store each day after being in the park 100% on the route back to the place. 10 min from Terlingua Ghost Town. John the owner and Nate the local manager were super to deal with.

We were looking for comfort and close proximity to Big Bend. Our expectations were met and exceeded at this fully functional, modern and bright little vacation house in the desert. We would love to come back and do some more hiking and observing nature and wildlife.
