Modern Hocking Hills Cabin w Hot Tub near Winery

The cabin was quite nice. Host was responsive.

We booked a 3 night stay. The house was very clean and well appointed with newer appliances and a well-stocked kitchen. One of the sliding doors was unlocked at check-in. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was great. It rained a considerable amount on our trip. We had a fairly major water leak at the bottom of the stairs in basement. This made the basement at the bottom of the stairs fairly wet, and my son actually fell.I don’t fault the owner, the situation was brought to his attention. It is an house and things can go wrong.In the middle of the day on the day before checkout, the power went out. This also is not the fault of the owner. The problem is that without power, there is no Wi-Fi, Internet, and nonexistent cell phone reception. There is also no refrigeration and no plumbing. We had no way of knowing when the power would return, if at all throughout the duration of our stay. We were traveling with young children, and the idea of staying overnight in the middle of nowhere with no electricity was not the vacation we had in mind. We decided to leave before the last night‘s stay after waiting numerous hours for return of power. Our biggest issue was the communication thereafter with the owner, who still has refused to address our situation and will not entertain the idea to compensate us even partially for the last night. Unfortunately we would not stay here again.

Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful view and very quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location, comfy beds, fun fire pit was great hot tub was just right definitely worth a trip back and very easily able to communicate during the whole process

This is our second time renting Fern Woods to ring in the New Year as a bigger family being all together. The house layout, magical log cabin in the woods during winter vibe is something out of a Hallmark movie. The owners are very responsive and wonderful to rent from. We cannot wait to come back to this rental that has everything you need during your stay!!

three of us, who've been friends since 1970, enjoyed our 3 days in Fern Wood. The kitchen is well appointed with comfy beds and enough towels etc. Because the location is in the country with windy roads, we chose to have dinner in. But we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Talked and drank enough wine around the fire pit!! Great!!

Beautiful well kept cabin. We loved the wide open windows in the living room. Downstairs game area was great. We enjoyed our time.

Cabin had everything we needed. Great view for relaxing. Plenty of space to sit and eat (which the last cabin in the area did not have).

This property was so pristine, warm and cozy. It was a girls getaway which was perfect for our small group. Hiked Hocking Hills during the day and went back for quiet evenings with a bonus ...a clean relaxing hot tub overlooking nature. Beds comfortable, kitchen stocked with what we needed and the complimentary snacks and wine were a golden touch. We all agreed that we HIGHLY recommend this property!

Clean and well thought out cabin. It had everything we needed. It was kind of a dreary weekend so the wall to ceiling windows made us feel like we were outside and made the indoors brighter. Nice propane indoor fireplace as well, that made the indoor atmosphere so cozy. Beds were comfortable. Nice clean hot tub. We even used the outdoor fire pit, which had a really nice patio set-up with plenty of fold-up chairs from the master closet that were available for use. Close to many of hikes! We would definitely stay here again.

This is my second time staying at this cabin and we very much enjoyed it! The location is great, we felt secluded but close enough to the hiking trails. I highly recommend staying here!

This property was perfect for a girls trip! The windows viewing the woods were such a show piece and made every day feel really special. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary equipment for cooking and the house had plenty of blankets to snuggle up with in the cold evenings.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights with our friends for my 30th birthday. The cabin was so clean and beautiful! It was such a fun and relaxing weekend! We are very happy with our stay. We have no complaints!

We had an amazing time at Fern Woods for a girls book club weekend. The cabin was gorgeous and luxurious to stay in and close to Ash Cave for the perfect day hike. We will absolutely be back!

We rented the cabin for the weekend to celebrate my daughter’s 20th birthday. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and very spacious. We were so appreciative of all the amenities and extras that the cabin had so we only had to venture out once to get the few items that we forgot to bring. I loved sitting by the fire in the morning and loved watching the snow fall from the hot tub. The check in and out process was incredibly simple. I’d love to come back and spend more time here during the warmer months!

We have stayed here two times and each time has been wonderful. It is very clean and enough space for 5 adults. The kitchen is well stocked. We will be coming back again!

Great place for a girls weekend! Home and grounds are beautiful. Close to Old Man’s Cave and Winery.

Our family of five adults stayed here for 3 nights. The cabin was so bright and comfortable and very clean. The deck and patio area are private and peaceful. The caves and other activities we enjoyed were within 20-25 minutes drive. There is a lovely winery down the street which we visited twice. We are already looking forward to staying here again next year. We highly recommend Fern Woods!!
