Property owner very responsive when we arrived.
Wonderful place to get away Cabin was equipped with everything you would need for your stay Quiet and relaxing
This property is the perfect size and perfect level of modern-meets-rustic for a city couple who needed a week away! It had every single amenity that you need to survive when you don't *really* want to rough it, like internet, AC, and heat, but it also fully felt like a log cabin and was very secluded and private. It was also great that it had a full kitchen/fridge/dishwasher, so that if we didn't want to go anywhere, we could just stay in and function just like if we were at home. The hot tub was a great bonus, and we enjoyed the fire pit as well. The location is great; nice restaurants are a bit of a hike, but burger/pizza joints and grocery stores are close by. Luray is close, as well as the entirety of Skyline Drive, so we will definitely be back, either alone or for a family trip.
We had such a wonderful stay at Katrina's cabin - it was the perfect getaway for us with two young kids, and a real chance to unplug and take walks in the beauty that surrounds the area. Our kids loved the short walk down to the river area, and we got the chance to grill and hang out on the porch watching the rain. Katrina was super accommodating and helpful - she provided a high chair and pack 'n play for the kids, which made our lives so much easier, and provided every amenity we could think of. She was also super helpful when we got stuck with a dead car battery the morning we were checking out, and reached out to her handyman and others in the area to come give us assistance. Just a note, the WiFi is a little spotty, but we saw that as a benefit because it meant we got out more and didn't spend time in front of screens (I had use of a personal WiFi hotspot for some work-related things, so that was useful). Overall, loved our stay and would happily stay here again in the future!
