Super cute property! Not too hard to find quiet and private will keep in favorites for other visits to hocking hills! Hot tub had a slight issue but was still functioning enough to use one side! Host has said a new one is on the way so hopefully that wont be an issue for future guests! Perfect spot not too horribly far from the caves!

It’s a nice place and affordable if you need somewhere to stay, but not what we were expecting. Thought it would be more secluded. Had a shared driveway with neighbors close by. I get it’s a dog friendly house, but when I have to sweep up because I was stepping on so much hair and dirt, that tells me the cleaning person didn’t clean well. Other than that, it was ok to stay.

Great location, semi secluded with great view of the open sky, but close enough to deep woods to hear nature. Everything about the property was as described in the listing and that communication prior to our visit was extremely helpful. The hot tub was also very relaxing.The property was clean, allowed dogs which was a huge plus, and wasn't too far from Hocking Hills attractions. Really, all good things.

Amazing experience!!!! Loved everything 11/10

The cabin was clean when we arrived aside from the few bugs that were to be expected. There was some residual articles of trash around the cabin. A few Beer cans out back and some visible junk under the deck. Overall a 4 out of 5. The hot tub was working but had a couple quirks to work around and also seems a little dated, 4out of 5. There were some structural issues with the deck. A broken plank over head. Looks like the place could use some TLC. Pictures online look like they might be a little bit older too, so be prepared for it to look slightly different than the pictures. The on site property manager was very friendly. As for the place being pet friendly, it was indeed. Although I will say that even though it is pet friendly it is not pet safe. We brought our dogs and found that there was no fence on the property and no gate on the deck. If you are going to bring your animals be prepared to have some type of lead for them while outside unattended. We arrived at the property and within minutes one of our dogs took off and was missing for 5 or 6 hours. We got very lucky to find him because at that point they’re a needle in a haystack. If it wasn’t for facebook we may have lost our dog forever. The manager was very caring and helped us search for hours, to no avail. Finally we found him thanks to friends and strangers reaching out via face book. Keep your pet on a leash or chain and don't let them out of your sight because this mistake almost ruined our entire experience.

There were birds in the cabin when I got there and the hot tub quit working halfway threw the weekend

This is a lovely pet-friendly, cozy, comfortable and clean cabin with nice amenities. It is a quiet area with nice privacy, and it was quite enjoyable to stay here. Our host was very considerate and helpful.

They were very helpful and great communication. Very clean set up well. Note: this completely on me, but I didn’t see in the description that the hot tub is drained for winter, THIS IS ON ME and I still had a very enjoyable time.

Cozy little cabin. My husband and I enjoyed our stay for Valentine’s Day weekend. Bed was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook a delicious meal. Loved the wood burner, definitely gave a genuine cozy cabin feel. Would definitely book again! Thank you!

The cabin was perfect as was our stay and the host great with communication and very fast. Of note, the hot tub is drained, so not useable. This would have been nice to know beforehand as I would have looked for a cabin with a working hot tub. I would definitely rent again!

Only complaint, which isnt even a complaint given the time of year, is that the hot tub was already shut down for season, the cabin was nice, peaceful and quiet, defined recommend.

Owner and local crew addressed some unexpected issues timely and effiently. Cabin was clean and as expected. Close to Hocking Hills attractions.

The cabin was clean, the hot tub was excellent, and our dogs had a great stay! I would recommend purchasing more staple kitchen items. Particularly salt/pepper, sheet pans, measuring cups, wooden spoons, etc. Having a more complete kitchen would relieve stress on prepping meals.

Everything was clean and in good working order. The owned communicated great as far as getting to the property and getting into the cabin. Its pretty secluded and we heard nothing but the hot tub and nature. Would highly recommend for a couple or maybe dmall family.

Everything was absolutely wonderful with the cabin!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! We will definitely stay at Valley Ridge again if we ever get back down to Hocking Hills.

The Hot tub was great and the kitchen had everything thing we needed. The cabin was clean and and in a great location. Hopefully we will get to stay again sometime. The beds were even comfortable.

Second year staying very Nice, peaceful and clean

This was a perfect home base for exploring Hocking Hills. We would stay here again!

It was nice and quiet and relaxing and the Hot tub was great also.

Everything was exactly as it was described. We had 2 dogs and it was a perfect outdoor area. We brought 2 baby gates and put them up at the entrance opening, which enclosed the 3 sided porch so that our dogs could be outside with us. Beds are comfortable. We were not going for luxury. It was a quaint, clean and rustic little cabin tucked away just perfectly. Also loved the nearby winery. Thank you Dan.

Cute little cozy cabin. More of a basic cabin, but that's 100% what we were loooing for.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect place to disconnect. Loved all the acres of land, the view of the woods in the back, and we had everything we needed. Not very far from Hocking Hills, 2 bathrooms is a perk, and it was so quiet and peaceful.

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Things are what you expect from a cabin in the woods/country and as described. Overall cleanliness was good. I would suggest cleaning the air conditioner vents. We did bring our two dogs and I would say they enjoyed the visit as well. I did rig up a gate for the porch so we could let them off leash on the porch. Suggested improvement would be to add a gate to the deck. The grill came on easily but the grate has seen better days, bring some tin foil and you will be good to go. We would return for another visit and would recommend this cabin for a nice off grid getaway.

Our family goes to Hocking Hills once or twice a year, and this was one of the better cabins we have stayed at. Us and our dogs had an amazing time. The cabin was in really good condition, and the best part of the cabin is that it has two bathrooms. We really enjoyed the hot tub and having s’mores in the evening. During our stay we walked through Moonville Tunnel, and we went out the second day to get pizza and ice cream. Overall we had an amazing stay, and I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Not many bugs like the other reviews talk about maybe some but you’re in the woods what do you expect? Clean and spacious. Pretty nice overall. Hottub was nice too, would stay here again.

This cabin was so relaxing , we stay at a lot of cabins and for the price you cannot beat it. No issues with anything , bed was comfy, size of cabin perfect . It is set back away from everything . We will be coming back.

The main issue is that the property smelled really bad especially the bathroom. I did not have phone service until I left. That was deliberate. In any case, we were already there so we made the best of it

Wide open spaces, private and beautiful scenery.

Stayed here for our trip to Hocking Hills. Close to everything you want to see! We went to Cantwell Cliffs, Old Man’s Cave, Ash Falls. And this was a great place to come back to! Hot tub was perfect, we had no problems so no reason to communicate with the property manager. I actually preferred bringing our own sheets/blankets/pillows. We did forget towels but made a quick trip to Walmart. Would definitely stay here again if we took another trip that way!

Wonderful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The manager explained the residence perfectly.. everything was extremely clean and tidy. The hot tub was perfect after a long day hiking. The jets worked great. The deck was so pretty and although there are technically 2 other cabins on the lot the way that the cabin is situated, you can’t even see them nor hear them. The caretaker does a great job with the grass. 10/10 recommend and will be back!

For the price i thought it would be alot nicer

First cabin we have ever been in that we had to make our bed with our linen. I understand that they are having difficulty finding a place to do the linens. It was ridiculous. Second, it is in serious need of updating. We love the wood work. Love the layout. Loved the idea there was 2 bathrooms. Just the floor is coming up in the bedroom. I can't remember if it was coming up in other areas. We rolled with it. Will we go back? Probably not. Last minute booking.

My Wife and I stayed there for Valentine’s Day, I asked the property manager to decorate for the weekend… she did, it was very nice, flowers, candy etc….the property was clean and welcoming…the hot tub was super nice and taken care of. I can see how people could have issues with bugs and other critters, we didn’t but it’s the dead of winter. I haven’t had too many cabins that didn’t have something running around in the spring and summer minth.

The cabin was clean with enough space for our family. The kitchen supplies were a little lacking as it would have been nice to have 4 large plates and bowls for meals. The hot tub was nice to relax and enjoy the view.

The owner of the cabin, Dan, was super nice and helpful! Everything was exactly as described, so there were no surprises! We prepared accordingly based on the description and everything worked out beautifully. Our kids loved the cabin and the location is minutes away from the Hocking Hills caves and trails. We had an amazing weekend and are already talking about coming back!

This cabin was everything we needed it to be while staying in the beautiful hocking hills! Close by to all the trails, had a hot tub that was absolutely perfect for this time of year, had everything we needed to cook some delicious cabin-made meals, and was well kept! There were two other rentals on the property but still felt secluded enough. Definitely was the true meaning of a “rustic cabin in the woods,” but a very nice one that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at. Thank you Valley Ridge!

The listing looks like your alo e on the acerage but there is a cabin 150 ft away and another in plain site across the field.although the hot tub is amazing and private.the propane was empty after i started to use it at 10at night.lol i stay in a diffrent cabin 3 ti.es a yr it was a good weekend

We had no problems with our stay.

My boyfriend, our dog, and I stayed in this cabin Friday - Sunday. It was perfect for the three of us! I highly recommend reading the description prior to booking this place! It was very accurate and told a better story than some of the recent reviews. We were nervous after reading some of the reviews, but were pleasantly surprised and the description describes the property perfectly. One of the hot tub jets were broken, but since there were only 2 of us in the hot tub it was perfect for us. The manager did let us know of the condition of the hot tub before we came onsite. We would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun time at a good price!

Everything was exactly like the host's description. The property in and out was very clean, very comfortable, everything was in working order. The host's communication was in a very timely manner, friendly, honest and professional. I am looking forward to returning in the future

Will not book there again. Broken hot tub, nothing was clean, picture must have been takin years ago.
