This one of a kind mountaintop log cabin 10 minutes from Banner Elk has every feature you could possibly want! Stunning long range layered mountain views, hot tub, game room, movie theater room, small yard, screened in porch, firepit, and so much more!

The main level has an open Great Room with vaulted ceilings, a woodburning fireplace, leather furnishings, a large HDTV, and a dining table for 8. The beautiful kitchen is off the great room, with contrasting custom cabinets, black granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and every item you could need for preparing anything from a multi course meal down to the smallest of snacks. Beyond the kitchen is a multi-use area including a matching set of Samsung front loading washer & dryer and a built-in drink mixing station that folds down from the corrugated tin walls. You can access the screened in porch from this area as well.

Three steps down from the multi-use area is a wonderful movie & media room. Plush carpet absorbs the noise from the surround sound system, and the leather sectional sofa faces a huge 60” TV with BluRay player and PlayStation 3 as well as a selection of movies. Artful hidden rope lighting makes for an ideal setting to kick back and enjoy your favorite entertainment in style.

On the other side of the media room is a small hallway with access to the front yard, the master suite, and the game room that is sure to be the most popular room in the house. It offers a pool table, air hockey table, darts, and another TV.

There are three wonderful bedrooms in this cabin. Two of them are off the Great Room and have a Queen bed. One has an attached private bathroom, and the other bedroom has access to the full bath across the living room. The master suite is above the garage and has a King bed, HDTV, private balcony overlooking the stunning mountain views, a walk in closet, and a private bathroom.

The outdoor living in this cabin is as amazing as the inside offerings. Besides the screened in porch with a swing, enjoy the open air patio, the small enclosed side yard, a 3-seater hot tub under the stars, and a covered porch wrapping around two sides of the house facing the gorgeous mountain views. The views change every hour as you watch the clouds pass by and birds soar in the valleys below. During autumn the hillsides will be ablaze with beautiful changing leaves.

During winter, you won't find a more convenient location for ski and snowboarding fun. The cabin is located just off Hwy 194 between Banner Elk and Valle Crucis, just 10 minutes from downtown Banner Elk and all its shopping and dining. Historic Valle Crucis is 15 minutes away, and Boone and Blowing Rock are just a short drive further.

Important Information:

- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
- A maximum of 3 vehicles are permitted at the property. Please do not park vehicles on the street or anywhere other than in the driveway of the property. RVs and trailers are not permitted due to neighborhood bylaws.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
- Please note that this homeowner uses one outdoor surveillance camera to monitor their home's security. This camera overlooks the driveway and is part of motion-sensing lights. No cameras monitor the inside of the home.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a starter set of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- If pet friendly: This home allows up to 4 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

    We were shocked when we arrived at the listing. The outside of the house was littered with old natural debris (leaves etc) and trash. The porches were not clean including porch furniture and top of hot tub. There was a thick coat of pollen and dirt and the cushions and other furniture was dirty and in some cases broken. It looked like no one had been at the house in quite a while. The code they provided to get into the house didn't work and by the time they responded to our concerns we had already found an unlocked door we could enter. Inside the cleaning was just average as we saw dirt on the floor in the main dining area and any less obvious areas (like sides of cabinets etc were not touched). That would have been fine had we not been paying the huge fees. They advertised a media room but despite searching for info on how to turn on the main TV we could never figure it out (even with a physics major in our midst!). We called and asked for help but they didn't get back to us until 3 pm the next day!The outside porch, which had a gorgeous view, had a wood railing that was broken in multiple places. No one could lean on or near it because it would clearly break if pushed. We were happy we did not have young children with us because we would not have allowed them in that area. It was a long drop to the ground if one fell. The master bedroom area had a septic smell when we first arrived which cleared over time with open windows. Do not stay!

    My family enjoyed our time at Million Dollar View. It was the perfect spot for a wedding at White Crow. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Although we did not spend much time at the home, it was a wonderful retreat and we wished we could have stayed longer.

    This cabin was everything we hoped it would be and more. Although it was technically within a neighborhood with a few other cabins, it was positioned in a way that it felt remote and private. Also, unlike many cabins in the Boone area, it was just minutes from civilization, including Valle Crucis and the original Mast General Store. I honestly can't think of a single thing I would improve and know any group (large or small) would have a great time here.

    Very pretty view off the back of the house (visible from the sofa next to the sliding glass doors and the upstairs bedroom) and from the hot tub. Helped to have the pool table and games available. Log cabin so very dark inside, even with lamps, so was tough to read. Takes about 25 minutes to get to either Sugar or Beach resorts. No snow while we were there but definitely understand the requirement of 4WD/AWD (road to get to the house is gravel and very steep).

    We arrived to the Million Dollar View the day after the massive winter storm ahead of Christmas 2022. With our AWD we were able to safely make it to the cabin despite the conditions. We never lost power or water which was rare and in the area at the time, and we were quite thankful. With the awful conditions the whole rental community struggled. When we arrived at 6 pm, the cleaner was still there. After some awkward time trying not to make a mess and get in her way she finished. I'm sure that had something to do with the less than stellar cleaning of the cabin. Discovered left items under the couch and lots of dust balls and dirt.( discovered after my dog lost his ball under the couch) The house was as advertised with the view being nothing less than a million dollar. With different outside sections of the porch there were plenty of seating options. Sadly with the sub zero temperatures, we were not able to enjoy it. The hot tub was great with working jets. The theater room had a nice area for separation if needed and multiple different video game systems. Enjoyed the game room with pool and air hockey. Loved the extra attention for the pets with bowls, beds and balls. Be careful as the gates around the porch are missing some bars so our dog quickly escaped before we realized that.

    The view does not disappoint. Location is great and the amenities are accurate as described. The house could use a good cleaning and unfortunately, a previous renter (or the cleaning team) left wet towels in the washer so we experiened an unpleasant odor upon arrival. Overall, still a nice property with a wonderful view.

    Hubby and I traveled with our grown sons and their families and there was plenty of space for everyone. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor spaces and oh my what a wonderful view! I would definitely stay at this property again in the future!
